The title compound, C12H9FN2O, is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation for the 16 non-H atoms = 0.019 Å), a conformation stabilized by an intramolecular O—H⋯N hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate R 2 2(16) loops

In the title coordination polymer, [Hg2Cl4(C6H12N2)]n, each HgII center within the chain is four-coordinated by one terminal Cl atom, two bridging μ2-Cl atoms, and one N-atom donor from a μ2-1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (μ2-daco) ligand in a distorted tetrahedral geometry. The daco ligand acts as an end-to-end bridging ligand and bridges adjacent HgII centers, forming a chain running along [001]. Weak C—H⋯Cl hydrogen-bonding interactions link the chains into a three-dimensional network. Comparison of the structural differences with previous findings suggests that the space between the two N donors, as well as the skeletal rigidity in N-heterocyclic linear ligands, may play an important role in the construction of such supramolecular networks

    Diethyl [hydroxy(phenyl)methyl]phosphonate

Molecules of the title compound, C11H17O4P, are linked into chiral helical chains along the crystallographic b axis via O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the hydroxy group and an O atom of the phosphonate group. One ethyl group is disordered over two positions; the site occupancy factors are ca 0.7 and 0.3

Influencing Factors for Sleep Quality Among Shift-working Nurses: A Cross-Sectional Study in China Using 3-factor Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index

SummaryPurposeThe aim of this study was to identify influencing factors for sleep quality among shift-working nurses based on a three-factor scoring model that included sleep efficacy, sleep quality and daily dysfunction.MethodsA cross-sectional survey of 513 nurses in a hospital in Shanghai, China, was conducted using a self-reported questionnaire. Sleep quality was measured by the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Data were analyzed based on the three-factor PSQI model: Factor 1, sleep efficacy; Factor 2, sleep quality; Factor 3, daily disturbances.ResultsAfter adjusting for age, marital status, and having children, multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that participants who had previous shift work experience which was at least 6 months ago, or were currently performing shift work were significantly more likely to have poor sleep quality (PSQI > 5) than those who had never done shift work (adjusted odds ratios of 3.943 and 3.975, respectively, both p < .001). Mean scores of the three individual factors increased significantly among nurses currently performing shift work compared with those who had never done shift work (Factor 1, β = 0.61, p < .001; Factor 2, β = 1.86, p < .001; Factor 3, β = 0.45, p = .002). Mean scores of Factor 2 and Factor 3 increased significantly among nurses with previous shift work experience compared with those who had never done shift work (Factor 2, β = 1.15, p = .003; Factor 3, β = 0.52, p = .005).ConclusionsPerforming current shift work and performing shift work previously were significantly associated with poor sleep quality. An appropriate arrangement and intervention strategies are needed in Chinese hospitals in order to improve sleep quality among shift-working nurses

Indo-Pacific finless porpoises presence in response to pile driving on the Jinwan Offshore Wind Farm, China

The Jinwan Offshore Wind Farm project in the Pearl River Estuary (PRE) is a new stressor for the resident marine mammals there, especially for the Indo-Pacific finless porpoise. A broadband recording system was deployed in the Jinwan Offshore Wind Farm, before and during the construction period, in order to determine how the finless porpoise responded to pile driving activity. The results showed that the wind farm area was an important habitat for the finless porpoise during the monitoring period. The finless porpoise also showed avoidance behavior of pile driving activity. There was a significant negative correlation between porpoise detection and pile driving detection, and the time between porpoise’s acoustic detections increased during pile driving compared to periods without pile driving. Our results indicated that acoustic protection measures are strongly recommended in future offshore wind farm developments in order to protect finless porpoises

The title complex, [Fe(C6H4N5)2(H2O)2], was synthesized by the reaction of ferrous sulfate with 5-(2-pyridyl)-2H-tetrazole (HL). The FeII atom, located on a crystallographic center of inversion, is coordinated by four N-atom donors from two planar trans-related deprotonated L ligands and two O atoms from two axial water molecules in a distorted octahedral geometry. The FeII mononuclear units are further connected by intermolecular O—H⋯N and C—H⋯O hydrogen-bonding interactions, forming a three-dimensional framework
