). However on the addition of Ethylene carbonate, the ionic conductivity has been decreased slightly by one order of magnitude. This may be due to the increase in viscosity of gel polymer electrolyte which may restrict the segmental motion of polymer chains at ambient temperature. This is inturn reflected in the dielectric spectra in which a very low value of dielectric constant is observed for GPE compared to salt doped system. Interaction of lithium salt and plasticizer with the polymer blend matrix has been confirmed from FTIR spectra analysis

Abstract: Lithium ion conducting polymer electrolytes of PVA: PVdF complexed with Lithium triflate (LiCF 3 SO 3 ) have been prepared by solution casting technique. Electrical characterization of all the prepared polymer electrolyte samples (composition of 90:10:2, 80:20:2 and 70:30:2) has been performed using AC impedance spectroscopy technique. From complex impedance plot, the maximum ionic conductivity has been found to be 3.9 x 10 -4 Scm −1 in 80PVA:20PVdF: 2LiCF 3 SO 3 polymer electrolyte system at 303 K. The ionic conductivity of the polymer electrolyte increases with the increase of temperature. Dielectric and modulus analysis have been studied for different temperature. Complex modulus suggests that negligible electrode polarization at low frequency region
