LOS RESPONSABLES DE SISTEMAS DE INFORMACIÓN ANTE EL OUTSOURCING: UN ANÁLISIS EMPÍRICO Y LONGITUDINAL

RESUMENEl Outsourcing de Sistemas de Información ha crecido de forma espectacular en los últimos años. Como resultado, los responsables de Sistemas de Información han sufrido una serie de cambios en sus puestos de trabajo. Sin embargo no existen muchos estudios que traten la influencia del outsourcing en los puestos de trabajo de dichos responsables, por lo que el presente análisis pretende cubrir parte de este déficit. Se muestran los resultados de una encuesta llevado a cabo en las mayores empresas españolas. Además se lleva a cabo un análisis longitudinal y se presenta un tipología de empresas.ABSTRACTInformation systems Outsourcing has grown dramatically in recent years. As a result, the professional aspects in the job of the persons in charge of these systems, the CIOs (Chief Information Officers) have changed. As there do not exist many studies about the influence of Outsourcing over the CIO, this study tries to cover this gap. The results of a survey about this issue carried out in Spanish largests firms are shown. A longitudinal analysis is exhibited and an attempt is made to create a business typology, according the way in which outsourcing has influenced the job of the CIOs

ANÁLISIS DE PÁGINAS WEB CORPORATIVAS COMO DESCRIPTOR ESTRATÉGICO

RESUMENEste trabajo se basa en analizar cómo las páginas web corporativas pueden ser una herramienta esencial para detectar tendencias por empresas o sectores, e incluso una fuente primaria de benchmarking. Gracias a esta técnica hemos podido averiguar los puntos clave en la dirección estratégica de las empresas españolas del Ibex35. Concretamente, hemos pretendido conseguir dos objetivos. El primero consiste en demostrar cómo las web corporativas permiten obtener información directa de las variables estratégicas que pueden definir a las empresas. En cuanto al segundo objetivo, hemos descrito, a través de la metodología propuesta, el perfil corporativo de estas grandes empresas españolas.ABSTRACTThis paper has as its main aim to analyse how corporate web pages can become an essential tool in order to detect trends by firms or sectors, and even a primary source for benchmarking. This technique has made it possible to identify the key issues in the strategic management of the Spanish in Ibex35. More precisely, two objectives were sought. The first one consisted in showing the way in which corporate websites make it possible to obtain direct information about the strategic variables which can define firms. As for the second objective, the methodology proposed served to describe the corporate profile of these large Spanish firms

RAZONES Y RIESGOS DEL OUTSOURCING DE SISTEMAS DE INFORMACIÓN: UN ANÁLISIS DE SU SITUACIÓN Y EVOLUCIÓN

RESUMENEl trabajo hace una propuesta de las principales razones y riesgos del outsourcing de Sistemas de Información y trata de valorar estas razones y riesgos en el caso de las grandes empresas españolas, observando su evolución temporal. Para lograr este objetivo se ha pasado un cuestionario a los responsables de Sistemas de Información de las mayores empresas españolas. De acuerdo con las empresas encuestadas, las razones de la externalización no se basan meramente en la reducción de costes sino en razones estratégicas y de mejora, mientras que los principales riesgos recaen en el lado del proveedor de los servicios.ABSTRACTThis study elaborates a proposal of the main reasons and risks at Information Systems Outsourcing. We try also to evaluate these reasons and risks in the case of the largest Spanish firms and to analyse their temporary evolution. To achieve this objective a questionnaire has been carried out among the Information Systems managers of the largest Spanish firms. Attending to the interviewed, outsourcing reasons are not based merely on the reduction of costs but in strategic reasons while the main risks relapse in the side of the supplier of the services
