The article describes the current views on the pathogenesis of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and a short overview of possible methods of therapy. The main mechanisms of antioxidant action of ademetionine in the treatment of NAFLD and the analysis of the evidence base of its effectiveness are discussed.
