Radiative Strength Functions in 172yb Below 8 Me V
We have measured prompt {gamma} rays after thermal and resonant neutron capture in {sup 171}Yb. The {gamma} rays were measured with three high resolution ({approx}3 keV) and high efficiency (two {approx}80% Ge(HP) and one {approx}200% segmented Clover) detectors. We have obtained singles and two-fold coincidence spectra as function of neutron energy using the time-of-flight technique. Two-fold coincidences where the summed energy adds up to the neutron binding energy B{sub n} or to B{sub n} minus the energy of the first excited stated ({approx}79 keV) will be used to determine the multipolarity of the pygmy resonance in {sup 172}Yb. This pygmy resonance is a resonant structure in the radiative strength function around {approx}3 MeV in deformed rare earth nuclei [1]. The following goals were met: (1) We have shown the feasibility of prompt, high-resolution {gamma} spectroscopy at FP14 after thermal as well as resonant neutron capture. (2) Online analysis shows that sufficient statistics ({approx}7000 counts) are expected in each of the two relevant peaks in the summed-energy spectrum. Analysis of the experiment is in progress. It still remains to show that the multipolarity of the pygmy resonance can be determined experimentally from two-step cascade intensities

What is the 'Color' of Atomic Nuclei?
Preliminary results already show that we collected enough statistics in this experiment to yield a meaningful spectral distribution of two-step {gamma}-ray transitions. Analysis of the data continues. We hope to soon be able to fill Fig. 5 with data points, favoring either the hypothesis of an electric pygmy resonance (red line) or orbital magnetic scissors mode (blue line)
Views of University Administrators on Online Education During the Epidemic Period
The human resources unit in universities has planned training for academicians and directors. With the transition to distance education during the pandemic period, face-to-face training has started to take place online. With this study, online training was planned for the administrators in the administrative department of universities. The opinions of the managers about online training are critical. Managers’ views were consulted on the effectiveness of online training. In this study, a qualitative research method was used to reach detailed results. The study group of the research consists of 18 administrators in the administrative department of the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation, Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia development programme’ for 3 weeks in the 2020–2021 fall semester. In order to access the data of this study, the interview form developed by the researchers was used as a data collection tool. While preparing the interview questions developed by the researcher, the opinions of four experts in the field were taken and the questions were finalized. Content analysis was used in the analysis of the data. The findings obtained as a result of the research are given in detail in the findings and results section. © 2021. It is an indisputable fact that technology is a part of our lives. It is known that research and education technologies are concentrated. By examining the articles and dissertations published in the field, the scope, strengths and weaknesses of the studies were determined. An important gap has been filled in to guide researches what kind of studies may be needed in the future. Many studies for this purpose were found in the literature. However, since similar studies dealing with educational technologies are outdated, this study is considered important in terms of gathering current research trends and results. The aim of this study is to analyse the articles published in the Scopus database on educational technologies and instructional technologies, thematically and methodologically. The study was designed by adopting a case study from qualitative research models. The sample has not been determined for postgraduate dissertations to be included in the study, and it was aimed to reach the whole universe. In this context, all articles have been accessed through the library system of the university in the Scopus database included. The keywords ‘educational technologies’ and ‘instructional technologies’ were used in the article search. The document types have been examined by year, by country, by authors, by field research and by place of publication. © 2020. All Rights Reserved
