An assortment of woody plants produced in the manor of Nové Dvory at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries: North American taxa

The noble family of Chotek began with the realization of extensive landscaping in their manor of Nové Dvory at the end of the 18th century. Lists of woody plants produced for these purposes and for sale were preserved from the years 1794, 1800 and 1814. 276 taxa of foreign woody plants in the current concept, permanently cultivated outdoors, have been identified in all three lists at least to the level of the species. 91 taxa come from North America, with 81 being the first documented place of their presence in the territory of the Czech Republic. All North American taxa are natural, none of them originated in culture.O

Bakalářská práce se zabývá návrhem a vypracováním dokumentace ke stavebnímu povolení pro stavbu "Projekt - Tenisová hala z lepeného lamelového dřeva pro dva kurty se zázemím". Cílem práce je vypracování dokumentace ke stavebnímu povolení, dle platných ČSN EN. Hlavní náplň práce tvoří návrh a výpočet obloukové střešní konstrukce z lepeného lamelového dřeva a dalších nosných konstrukcí. Výkresovou část jsem zpracovával v programu Autodesk AutoCAD 2012 a statickou část v programech FIN EC, FIN GEO a AGROP NOVA. Posouzení prostupů tepla je zpracováno v programu Tepelná technika 1D.ObhájenoThe bachelor thesis deals with the design and elaboration of the documentation for the construction permit for the project "Project- Tennis hall made from glued laminated timber for two courts with facilities." The aim of this thesis is to complete documentation for building permit, according to valit ČSN EN standards. The main task of the thesis is the design and calulation of the arched roof structure of glued laminated timber and other supporting structures. The drawing part is made in Autodesk AutoCAD 2012 software and a static part is made in FIN EC, FIN GEO, and AGROP NOVA. Heat transmission evaluation is processed in software Tepelná technika 1D

The Goncourt Prize-winning “roman nègre”. About Kosztolányi’s Hungarian translation of René Maran’s Batouala

In 1921, René Maran became the first black author to receive the Prix Goncourt for his novel, Batouala. Just one year later, Dezső Kosztolányi translated the work to Hungarian. At the beginning of the 20th century, most Hungarians were unfamiliar with the culture of the Black Continent, and they could not even distinguish between Africans and African American people. Therefore, Kosztolányi not only had to deal with linguistic problems, but he also needed to introduce a completely new culture, otherwise unknown to the wider public. This essay presents the social and political differences between the Hungarian and the French audience, and by comparing the original work and the translation, it examines the linguistic techniques and the translational strategies Kosztolányi used to adapt the work to the expectations of the Hungarian readers

Sensoric assessment of the durable meat product depending on the production technology.

This diploma thesis deals with sensoric analysis of the selected types of durable meat products depending on the production technology. By sensoric assessment and subsequent statistic analysis, this diploma thesis pursues to compare fermented durable meat products, made without added starting cultures, with fermented durable meat products, made with added starting cultures, and to determine which of these kinds of products are preferred by the evaluators as well as the consumers. The theoretical part of this thesis summarises the conclusions arising from the sensoric analysis of the food, including its conditions and statistical evaluation, sense perception generally and the technology of the production of fermented durable meat products. In the practical part, the applied method and results of the performed twin preference test are described. Samples of the durable meat products of the major domestic producer of the durable meat products, commonly distributed and accessible in the trade network of the Czech Republic, were used for the purpose of evaluation

Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou Vierendeelova nosníku z hlediska historie, strukturální a statické analýzy, vývojovým problémům a použití v praxi. Současně se práce zabývá využitím 3D tisku ve stavebnictví a předkládá technologie, které jsou v dnešní době používané. Dále se zabývá současnými problémy, které je při 3D tisku nutné do budoucna řešit a odstranit je. Experimentální část práce se zabývá využitím 3D tisku pro účely experimentální mechaniky ve stavitelství. Previous development and forecast of future development of school-age populations in regions of the Czech Republic until 2050

Age distribution of population affects many sectors, therefore it is important to keep well informed about it. Knowledge of population development in time is crucial. One of those sectors that need to know the numbers of children and young people is education. This bachelor thesis deals with age-specific groups defined according to levels of Czech education system, including kindergartens and creches, on regional level. Part of the thesis analyzes development of these groups in regions of the Czech Republic between the years 2000 and 2014 followed with forecast until 2050. Postponement of school attendance and transition of students to grammar schools after 5th and 7th grade is also reflected in calculations
