    Nonperturbative and spin effects in the central exclusive production of tensor χc(2+)\chi_c(2^+) meson

    We discuss central exclusive production (CEP) of the tensor χc(2+)\chi_c(2^{+}) meson in proton-(anti)proton collisions at Tevatron, RHIC and LHC energies. The amplitude for the process is derived within the ktk_t-factorisation approach. Differential and total cross sections are calculated for several unintegrated gluon distributions (UGDFs). We compare exclusive production of all charmonium states χc(0+),χc(1+)\chi_c(0^+),\,\chi_c(1^+) and χc(2+)\chi_c(2^+). Equally good description of the recent Tevatron data is achieved both with Martin-Ryskin phenomenological UGDF and UGDF based on unified BFKL-DGLAP approach. Unlike for Higgs production, the main contribution to the diffractive amplitude of heavy quarkonia comes from nonperturbative region of gluon transverse momenta Q_{\perp}<1\,\GeV. At yy \approx 0, depending on UGDF we predict the contribution of χc(1+,2+)\chi_c(1^+,2^+) to the J/Ψ+γJ/\Psi + \gamma channel to be comparable or larger than that of the χc(0+)\chi_c(0^+) one. This is partially due to a significant contribution from lower polarization states λ=0\lambda=0 for χc(1+)\chi_c(1^+) and λ=0,±1\lambda=0,\,\pm 1 for χc(2+)\chi_c(2^+) meson.     Dijet correlations at RHIC, leading-order ktk_t-factorization approach versus next-to-leading order collinear approach

    We compare results of ktk_t-factorization approach and next-to-leading order collinear-factorization approach for dijet correlations in proton-proton collisions at RHIC energies. We discuss correlations in azimuthal angle as well as correlations in two-dimensional space of transverse momenta of two jets. Some ktk_t-factorization subprocesses are included for the first time in the literature. Different unintegrated gluon/parton distributions are used in the ktk_t-factorization approach. The results depend on UGDF/UPDF used. For collinear NLO case the situation depends significantly on whether we consider correlations of any two jets or correlations of leading jets only. In the first case the 222 \to 2 contributions associated with soft radiations summed up in the ktk_t-factorization approach dominate at ϕπ\phi \sim \pi and at equal moduli of jet transverse momenta. The collinear NLO 232 \to 3 contributions dominate over ktk_t-factorization cross section at small relative azimuthal angles as well as for asymmetric transverse momentum configurations. In the second case the NLO contributions vanish at small relative azimuthal angles and/or large jet transverse-momentum disbalance due to simple kinematical constraints. There are no such limitations for the ktk_t-factorization approach. All this makes the two approaches rather complementary.     Testing the Meson Cloud Model in Inclusive Meson Production

    We have applied the Meson Cloud Model to calculate inclusive momentum spectra of pions and kaons produced in high energy proton-proton and proton-nucleus collisions. For the first time these data are used to constrain the cloud cut-off parameters. We show that it is possible to obtain a reasonable description of data, especially the large xFx_F (xF0.2x_F \geq 0.2) part of the spectrum and at the same time describe (partially) the E866 data on dˉuˉ\bar d - \bar u and dˉ/uˉ\bar d / \bar u. We also discuss the relative strength of the πN\pi N and πΔ\pi \Delta vertices. We find out that the corresponding cut-off parameters should be both soft and should not differ by more than 200 MeV from each other. An additional source (other than the meson cloud) of sea antiquark asymmetry, seems to be necessary to completely explain the data.     In heavy nuclei the spatial distribution of protons and neutrons is different. At CERN SPS energies production of π+\pi^+ and π\pi^- differs for pppp, pnpn, npnp and nnnn scattering. These two facts lead to an impact parameter dependence of the π+\pi^+ to π\pi^- ratio in 208Pb+208Pb^{208}Pb + ^{208}Pb collisions. A recent experiment at CERN seems to confirm qualitatively these predictions.     Production of Z^0 bosons with rapidity gaps: exclusive photoproduction in gamma p and p p collisions and inclusive double diffractive Z^0's

    We extend the k_\perp-factorization formalism for exclusive photoproduction of vector mesons to the production of electroweak Z^0 bosons. Predictions for the gamma p \to Z^0 p and p p \to p p Z^0 reactions are given using an unintegrated gluon distribution tested against deep inelastic data. We present distributions in the Z^0 rapidity, transverse momentum of Z^0 as well as in relative azimuthal angle between outgoing protons. The contributions of different flavours are discussed. Absorption effects lower the cross section by a factor of 1.5-2, depending on the Z-boson rapidity. We also discuss the production of Z^0 bosons in central inclusive production. Here rapidity and (x_{\Pom,1}, x_{\Pom,2}) distributions of Z^0 are calculated.     Assessment of the fiscal stance appropriate for the euro area in 2019

    On 18 June 2018, the European Fiscal Board (EFB) has published its assessment of the general orientation of fiscal policy in the euro area. The report concludes that the favourable economic outlook offers a prime opportunity to rebuild fiscal buffers. Especially euro area Member States with a high government debt-to-GDP ratio need to do more than simply accrue the budgetary benefits of the economic expansion. Lest we repeat the mistakes of the past and rob ourselves of room to manoeuvre when the next crisis hits, this is the time to move towards a somewhat restrictive orientation of fiscal policy in the euro area. It is also the time to upgrade the EU's fiscal framework and prepare a capacity for joint stabilisation for the euro area
