    Thе background of this rеsеarch is how's thе giving of financial compеnsations and non-financial compеnsations can incrеasе job satisfactions and dеcrеasе turnovеr intеntion.     The Effects of Leadership Style to the Employees’ Performance of “Bank Kalsel” through Communication Satisfaction Mediation Variable, Organizational Commitment, and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB)

    Various studies related to employees' performance have been seriously focused by many researchers as these principles have direct influence in order to realize the objectives of the organizations. Some variables which have direct influences to the employees’ performance are organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). These two variables according to previous studies have inspiration which is controlled by communication satisfaction and leadership style. Using logical positivism approach, this study addresses particular questions as follows: 1. Does the leadership style significantly affect communication satisfaction? 2. Does the communication satisfaction significantly affect the organizational commitment of the employees? 3. Does the leadership Style significantly affect the organizational commitment? 4. Does the leadership Style significantly affect organizational citizenship Behavior (OCB)? 5. Does the leadership Style significantly affect the employees’ performance? 6. Does the organizational commitment significantly affect the OCB? 7. Does the organizational commitment significantly affect the employees’ performance; 8. Does the OCB significantly affect the employees’ performance? This study was conducted at PT Bank Kalsel Banjarmasin (South Kalimantan) and seized the employees in their branches around South Kalimantan as the population of the study. There were 207 (two hundreds and seven) respondents who were selected by using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The primary data was collected through questionnaire and examined by descriptive analysis and Partial Least Square (PLS) model, on the base of Smart PLS computer programming. It is finally concluded that there are significant corrrelations within these variables; between the leadership style and communication satisfaction, communication satisfaction and organizational commitment, organizational commitment and OCB, and as well as OCB and employees performance. On the contrary, there are not significant correlation satisfaction a long with these variabel between the leadership style and organizational commitment, leadership style and OCB, leadership style and employees’ performance, and lastly, also between the organizational commitment and employee’s performance.     Analisis Variabel Yang Mempengaruhi Earnings Per Share Pada Industri Food and Baverages Yang Go Public Di Bursa Efek Jakarta

    This research aimed at identifying both the simultaneous and partial influence of such variables as: return on equity (X1), net sales (X2), current ratio (X3), debt to equity (X4), inventory turnover (X5), total assets turnover (X6), and net profit margin (X7), on earnings per share. To examine such influence, this research investigated the food and beverages industries listed at the Jakarta Stock Exchange. The sample investigated included: 9 firms of 1992, 15 firms of 1993, 19 firms of 1994, 20 firms for 1995 and 20 firms for 1996. Results of this research indicate some important findings. First, such variables as: return on equity (X1), net sales (X2), current ratio (X3), debt to equity (X4), inventory turnover (X5), total assets turnover (X6), and net profit margin (X7), simultaneously influence the variability of earnings per share. Second, among these independent variables, it was only X5 which did not significantly influence the variability of earnings per share. This finding is highly related to the fact that the food and beverages industry in Indonesia, to ensure the supply and quality of raw material purchased, the firm must help the local suppliers with technical assistance and working capital. The industry is to provide capital or soft loan to maintain sound and beneficial cooperation. On the other hand, raw material for the food and beverages industry, in practice, is influenced by the successful and fail harvest of suppliers. Finally, as a consequence of the constraints faced by food and beverages industry, lack of raw material is evident in a one period and abundance of raw material is evident in another. Accordingly, high inventory turnover did not indicate the firm's efficiency. Among the significantly influencing independent variables net sales (X2) and current ratio (X3) showed negative influence on earnings per share. Negative correlation was found between net sales (X2) and earnings per share and was due to the increase of operating expenses and the number of outstanding stock each year. The increasing number of outstanding stock and net sales (X2) which was not sustained by the efficiency of operating expenses, will decrease the earnings per share. On the other hand, the negative correlation between the current ratio (X3) and earnings per share was due to the increase of current asset components, namely, cash, account receivables, and inventory. This indicates over investment in current assets, which in turn, deteriorates the operating efficiency of the firms

    This study aims to analyze and explain the significant effect of organizational commitment on the performance of the nursing staff, analyze and explain the significant effect of organizational citizenship behavior on the performance of the nursing staff, analyze and explain the significant effect of the influence of organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior on the performance of the nursing staff. Type of research used in this research was survey research in form of explanation (explanatory research). The samples used in this study were 58 nursing staff from Regional Public Hospital dr. Soegiri Lamongan. The sampling technique used was stratified random sampling by taking samples of employees from the Nursing Care Division of General Public Hospital dr. Soegiri Lamongan. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis using multiple linear analysis by t-test and F as hypothesis testing. The results showed the variable organizational commitment have an impact on the performance of nursing staff of 0,307, while variable organizational citizenship behavior has an impact on the performance of nursing staff of 0,730

    This research aims to examine the influence of: 1) examine the influence of Product Quality, Brand Image, and Quality of Service on Customer Trust, 2) Quality of Product, Brand Image, and Quality of Service on Customer Loyalty, 3) Customer Trust on Customer Loyalty Causal Research design used to examine the influence between variables. Samples taken as many as 200 Sharp Electronics customer selected accidental sampling. Data collection using questionnaires. Hypothesis testing structural models is done with GeSCA (Generalized Structured Component Analysis). The result indicate there are significant influence on Quality of Product, Brand Image and Quality of Service on Customer Trust, Quality of Product have a significant influence on Customer Loyalty, while Brand Image and Quality of service is not a significant influence on Customer Loyalty.     This study aims to determine the influence of transactional and transformational leadership style to work motivation and employee performance. This research is explanatory research with quantitative approach. The sampling technique is proportional random sampling.     Pemberdayaan Perempuan Perdesaan dalam Pembangunan (Studi Kasus Perempuan di Desa Samboja Kuala, Kecamatan Samboja, Kabupaten Kutai Kertanegara)

    Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah belum diikutsertakannya perempuan perdesaan di dalam berbagai aspek pembangunan, sehingga mereka perlu diberdayakan agar dapat berfungsi sebagai subyek maupun obyek di dalam pembangunan, baik sebagai perencana, pengambil keputusan, pelaksana, maupun masyarakat dan menikmati hasil pembangunan secara merata. Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendiskripsikan, menganalisis dan menginterpretasikan aspek-aspek yang berhubungan dengan: (1) Latar belakang kehidupan sosial perempuan di desa Samboja Kuala, (2) Upaya yang dilakukan perempuan di desa Samboja Kuala dalam memenuhi kebutuhannya, (3) Upaya yang dilakukan untuk memberdayakan perempuan di Desa Samboja Kuala. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan bentuk studi kasus, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi dan observasi, yaitu model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa latar belakang perempuan di Desa Samboja Kuala Kecamatan Samboja Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara sebagian besar memiliki pendidikan yang rendah, pernikahan diusia muda menyababkan mereka tidak mampu bertahan dan akhirnya bercerai, sehingga secara sosial dan ekonomi tidak dapat berdaya. Upaya yang dilakukan oleh perempuan di Desa Samboja Kuala dalam memenuhi kebutuhan rumah tangganya adalah mereka berupaya menjadi tenaga buruh seperti pembuat ikan kering, penimbang ikan di TPI, pembuat keranjang tempat ikan dan membuka toko dengan skala kecil. Upaya yang dilakukan dalam rangka memberdayakan perempuan di Desa Samboja Kuala adalah dengan diberikannya keterampilan dan pelatihan, adanya bantuan modal bergulir serta bantuan dalam bentuk peralatan. Secara umum perempuan Desa Samboja Kuala masih perlu diberdayakan mengingat pendidikan mereka yang masih rendah, banyak dari mereka menyandang status janda sehingga mereka hanya mengandalkan tenaga untuk memenuhi kebutuhan rumah tangganya tanpa memiliki keahlian maupun ketrampilan. Sehingga mereka secara umum dapat ikut serta didalam pembangunan baik sebagai subyek dan obyek. They can be empowered on planning, decision making, managing or customer to get the benefit of development The objective of this research is to get a description, analysis and interpretation of all aspect related with: (1) Background of women social life in Samboja Kuala village, (2) Effort from the women of Samboja Kuala village to fulfill their need, (3) Effort to be done to empowering the women of Samboja Kuala village. This research use qualitative methods with case study, data collection has been done with interview technique, documentation and interactive observation. The result of this research show that almost all background of women on Samboja Kuala village Kecamatan Samboja Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara having low level education, early marriage cause them which cant pretend their marriage and force them to divorce, which also cause their social and economy cant be held. The women of Samboja Kuala village have been work as dry fish maker, fish weightier on fish auction place or open little shop as their effort to fulfill their household need. The for which has been done to empowering the women of Samboja Kuala village is present and practice them with skill, give them with capital aid and equipment aid. In general, the women of Samboja Kuala village should be more empowered in remembrance of their low level education, most of them have widow status which only realy on their physical to fulfil their household income without skill and specialization.
