    RPC Gap Production and Performance for CMS RE4 Upgrade

    CMS experiment constructed the fourth Resistive Plate Chamber (RPC) trigger station composed of 144 RPCs to enhance the high momentum muon trigger efficiency at both endcap regions. All new CMS endcap RPC gaps are produced in accordance with QA and QC at the Korea Detector Laboratory (KODEL) in Korea. All qualified gaps have been delivered to three assembly sites: CERN in Switzerland, BARC in India, and Ghent University in Belgium for the RPC detector assembly.     Effect Of Changes In The Korean Accounting Environment On The Productivity Of Accounting Firms

    To investigate how changes in the accounting environment in Korea affect firm productivity, this study analyzes productivity by firm size and labor type from 2000 to 2014, using a Cobb–Douglas production function. We find that (1) the greater the management advisory (tax) revenue, the greater the total revenue in large (small) accounting firms; and (2) marginal revenue is greatest for partners, followed by certified public accountants and general employees. In particular, partners’ contribution to large accounting firms improved after 2007, whereas general employees made a significant positive contribution to total revenue before 2007

    Grad-StyleSpeech: Any-speaker Adaptive Text-to-Speech Synthesis with Diffusion Models

    There has been a significant progress in Text-To-Speech (TTS) synthesis technology in recent years, thanks to the advancement in neural generative modeling. However, existing methods on any-speaker adaptive TTS have achieved unsatisfactory performance, due to their suboptimal accuracy in mimicking the target speakers' styles. In this work, we present Grad-StyleSpeech, which is an any-speaker adaptive TTS framework that is based on a diffusion model that can generate highly natural speech with extremely high similarity to target speakers' voice, given a few seconds of reference speech. Grad-StyleSpeech significantly outperforms recent speaker-adaptive TTS baselines on English benchmarks.     A STUDY OF FLUID BED GRANULATION OF PRAVASTATIN TABLET USING DESIGN OF EXPERIMENTS

    Objective: The objective of this study was to reduce size and weight of pravastatin tablet through quality by design approach; potential factors (spray rate, atomizing pressure, and inlet temperature) which could influence on the production process for critical process parameters of wet granulation using fluid-bed granulator were examined.Methods: The manufacturing process of the reduced weight and size formulation pravastatin tablet involves wet granulation, drying, granulate screening, blending, and tableting. Design of experiments study for wet granulation of the reduced weight/size pravastatin tablet was produced on 11 combinations of three factors (spray rate, atomizing pressure, and inlet temperature), which were chosen through initial risk assessment. The process of wet granulation was rated by measuring four responses: loss on drying (LOD) (%), bulk density (g/ml), product temperature (°C), and dissolution similarity (f2).Results: It was measured that LOD varied from 1.46 to 3.24%, bulk density from 0.34 to 0.51 g/ml, product temperature from 40.12 to 51.69°C, and dissolution (f2) of pravastatin from 52.14 to 58.91. Control strategy for wet granulation production of the reduced weight and size pravastatin tablet by our results demonstrated that the most optimized condition of three factors for wet granulation is spray rate (3ñ€“5 g/min), atomizing pressure (about 1 bar), and inlet temperature (65ñ€“90°C), respectively. Updated risk assessment and justification by all experimental data safely existed within the range of acceptance criteria were presented.Conclusion: It can be concluded that the ideal ranges of three factors (spray rate, atomizing pressure, and inlet temperature) in wet granulation were successfully identified

    Reliability of DEXA on Body Composition in Korean Athletes

    PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to assess the reliability of DEXA for measuring body composition in Korean Athletes. METHODS: Twenty-nine athletes (n=29) registered for the college athlete program voluntarily participated in the study. Participants’ height and weight were measured, and BMI (Body Mass Index) was calculated before the participants’ body composition was measured. Muscle mass (kg), lean mass (kg), bone mineral density (BMC) (g·cm-2), and total fat mass (kg) of each participant was assessed by DEXA lunar DPX-L (GE Lunar, Madison, USA) for four times within a day to examine the difference by time frames. Four trials consist of ‘early in the morning × 2 with fasting’ with 30min break between two trials, ‘after lunch × 2’ with 30 min break between the two trials. Intra-class correlation (ICC) was conducted for overall reliability (p\u3c0.05) and a repeated measure ANOVA was performed to compare the difference of each trial (p\u3c0.05). RESULTS: The mean ± SD of muscle mass, lean mass, BMC, and fat mass was 56.4 ± 4.6kg, 59.4 ± 5.0kg, 2.3 ± 0.4g·cm-2, and 9.3 ± 4.8kg respectively. Each trail (mean ± SD) of muscle mass were 56.4 ± 4.7kg, 56.1 ± 4.8kg, 56.5 ± 4.6kg, and 56.4 ± 4.7kg, respectively, lean mass were 59.4 ± 5.1kg, 59.2 ± 5.1kg, 59.5 ± 5.0kg, and 59.4 ± 5.0kg, respectively, BMC were 3.0 ± 0.4g·cm-2, 3.0 ± 0.4g·cm-2, 3.0 ± 0.4g·cm- 2, and 3.0 ± 0.4g·cm-2, respectively, and fat mass were 9.3 ± 4.9kg, 9.2 ± 4.8kg, 9.3 ± 4.9kg, and 9.3 ± 4.9kg, respectively. Reliability of the ICC test showed strong agreement on muscle mass (r=0. 994 and p\u3c0.0001), lean mass (r=0. 995 and p\u3c0.0001), BMC (r=0. 995 and p\u3c0.0001), and fat mass (r=0. 998 and p\u3c0.0001). Cronbach’s alpha were 0.99 (muscle mass), 0.99 (Lean Mass), 0.99 (BMC), and 1.00 (Fat mass). No significant difference between each trial was observed in fat mass (p\u3e0.36). However, there was a significant difference in muscle mass (p\u3c0.001), lean mass (p\u3c0.001), and BMC (p\u3c0.04). CONCLUSION: Although all of the variables showed strong agreement on overall reliability from the ICC test, the reliability for the muscle mass, lean mass, and BMC showed significant differences in different time frame

    Temperature-dependent evolutions of excitonic superfluid plasma frequency in a srong excitonic insulator candidate, Ta2_2NiSe5_5

    We investigate an interesting anisotropic van der Waals material, Ta2_{2}NiSe5_{5}, using optical spectroscopy. Ta2_{2}NiSe5_{5} has been known as one of the few excitonic insulators proposed over 50 years ago. Ta2_{2}NiSe5_{5} has quasi-one dimensional chains along the aa-axis. We have obtained anisotropic optical properties of a single crystal Ta2_{2}NiSe5_{5} along the aa- and cc-axes. The measured aa- and cc-axis optical conductivities exhibit large anisotropic electronic and phononic properties. With regard to the aa-axis optical conductivity, a sharp peak near 3050 cm−1^{-1} at 9 K, with a well-defined optical gap (ΔEI≃\Delta^{EI} \simeq 1800 cm−1^{-1}) and a strong temperature-dependence, is observed. With an increase in temperature, this peak broadens and the optical energy gap closes around ∌\sim325 K(TcEIT_c^{EI}). The spectral weight redistribution with respect to the frequency and temperature indicates that the normalized optical energy gap (ΔEI(T)/ΔEI(0)\Delta^{EI}(T)/\Delta^{EI}(0)) is 1−(T/TcEI)21-(T/T_c^{EI})^2. The temperature-dependent superfluid plasma frequency of the excitonic condensation in Ta2_{2}NiSe5_{5} has been determined from measured optical data.
