    Peranan Bidang Peternakan Dalam Upaya Meningkatkan Kesejahteraan Rakyat

    Peternakan mempunyai peranan yang penting dalam pembangunan setidak-tidaknya dalam 4 hal strategis yaitu : 1) Peternakan untuk menyediakan pangan terutama untuk memenuhi kebutuhan rakyat akan protein hewani, 2) Peternakan untuk sumber pendapatan dan kesempatan kerja, 3) Peternakan untuk USAha pertanian yang berkelanjutan dan perbaikan lingkungan hidup, dan 4) Peternakan untuk pengentasan masyarakat dari kemiskinan. Namun pada Kenyataannya bidang peternakan sekarang ini belum mampu secara optimal dalam menjalankan peran strategis seperti yang telah dijelaskan diatas. Hal ini dikarenakan kebanyakan USAha peternakan masih dikelola secara tradisional sehingga belum mampu memberikan kesejahteraan yang memadai dan juga belum mampu mencukupi kebutuhan protein hewani yang terjangkau oleh masyarakat, karena sebagian besar sumber protein hewani terutama daging dan susu masih inpor sehingga harganya relatif tinggi. Untuk itu perlu adanya USAha yang terpadu sehingga bidang peternakan ini benar-benar mampu berperan dalam mensejahterakan rakyat melalui penyediaan lapangan pekerjaan dan penyediaan protein hewani yang mencukupi kebutuhan masyarakat dengan harga terjangkau

    The research was conducted to determine the effect of sex and slaughter weight on the meat production. Increasing slaughter weight of male sheep and female sheep always was followed increasing carcass weight. At the same slaughter weight, male sheep had weight and percentage carcass were higher than female sheep. The statistical analysis resulted showed that sex was very significant effect, and slaughter weight was no significant effect, but there were interaction between sex and slaughter weight on fat, percentage fat, pelvic, kidney fat and yield grade number

    Pengaruh Penambahan Probiotik Herbal Pada Ransum Terhadap Performent Itik Pedaging

    The experiment was conducted to determine the effect of probiotics in diet on performance ( feed consumption, weight gain, and feed conversion) of ducks. Two hundred of day old ducks were divided into five dietary treatments. Each treatment was replicated four times with ten ducks per replicate. The five dietary treatments were P0 (diet without the addition of probiotics), P1 (diet plus probiotics 5 ml/l), P2 (diet plus probiotics 10 ml/l), P3 (diet plus probiotics 15 ml/l) and P4 (diet plus probiotics 20 ml/l). Five dietary treatments and drinking water were given ad libitum. The collected data were analysed using analysis variance of completely randomized design and continued by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test if analysis of the variance indicated significant difference. The result showed that addition of probiotic levels in diet on duck was significantly different on weight gain and feed conversion ratio of duck. Diet with probiotic 15 ml/l (P3) resulted good performance of duck. It gave an average weight of 1,366 g, 2.07 feed conversion and feed consumtion 2,829 for six weeks

    Yard can provide great benefits to society, because it can planted vegetables, fruit and herbs such as turmeric, lemongrass etc. Yard can also be used as a source of animal protein and an additional source of family income. The advantages of cultivate quail is it has small body size and weighs around 130 grams, short life cycle, high egg productivity ( in the period peak daily egg production can produce about 90 % of the total population in the cage ), feed intake slightly ( about 20 grams / head / day ), easily cultivated and does not require high investment. Quail can deliver results in the form of daily egg production, meat from culled quail ( quail that had stopped laying eggs or egg productivity plummeted start that after about 8 months old ), as well as produce manure that can be processed into organic fertilizer. Yard with an area of approximately 2 m2 can be used to maintain approximately 250 quail at a cost of approximately Rp.3,887,000. With the average cost of feed per month Rp.375,000, of the quail maintenance can provide net income from egg production per day on average Rp.11,500 and income from the sale of quail has not productived Rp.787,500.     A broiler chicken meat producer that has some advantages including, rapid capital turnover rate and a short maintenance period ie within five weeks of broiler already be harvested and weighs 1.9 kg / head. This has encouraged many farmers who seek broiler farms. PT. Genesis is one of the broiler farms, which work closely with the farmers in the district through a partnership Grabag core-plasama. The partnership goal is to increase revenue, and increase both the scale of the company\u27s businesses and farmers. The purpose of this study was to analyze the mechanism of partnerships undertaken in partnership plasma core, know the maintenance management (cultivation) of cattle in partnership nucleus-plasma, and calculates the income and value of the R / C ratio obtained in the plasma farmer-core partnership plasma. The research was conducted in partnership with farmers who farm company PT. Genesis. Nucleus location is in Taman Anggrek Unggaran Housing. Plasma breeders located in District Grabag, Magelang regency. The research was carried out for 1 month, ie in February and March 2013 which was designed as a case study, a total of 11 respondents breeders who partnered with PT. Genesis is currently in production. Data were collected by census method. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Maintenance of production data using the data on the plasma farmers February to March 2013 period (1 period). Analysis of the data used is descriptive analysis, revenue analysis, and analysis of R / C ratio. Results of the analysis showed that the income on the income earned period February to March 2013 were farmers Rp 3,332,844.97 per period. Analysis results Net B / C ratio showed 1.02 and BEP are at the point 66,524,262.0

    Indonesian agricultural products can be used as the leading commodity in the global competition, horticultural products especially such as fruits. The objectives of this resarch to know the characteristics of the consumer to purchase and consume the imported fruits, analyze the factors that affecting consumer behavior toward the demand of Fuji Apples and Mandarin Oranges in Johar Market. The sample area of research selected by purposive methods. The sample respondents of research with accidental sampling. The area of research in Johar Market Semarang City, which provide product of Fuji Apples and Mandarin Oranges. The total sample of respondents were taken as many as 88 respondents, which were consisted of 44 respondents Fuji Apples and 44 respondents Mandarin Oranges. Consumer of Fuji Apples and Mandarin Oranges were aged 31 until 40 years old. The average income of the consumers of the Mandarin Oranges was Rp.2.193.182 and the average income of the consumers of Fuji Apples was Rp.2.531.818. The status of their profession is as a housewife with a high school education level. They have number of family members from 3 - 4 people.     The purposes of the research were to identify the factors that affected farmers' income and to analysis the costs, revenues, income and feasibility level in terms of Break Even Point (BEP) and Revenue Cost Ratio (RC Ratio) on the sweet potato farming in Gapoktan “Nusa Bhakti” Adinuso Village, Reban District, Batang Regency. The method used was a case study in Gapoktan “Nusa Bhakti” Adinuso Village Reban District Batang Regency in Mei-September 2014 the planting season. The respondents were drawn using purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted using interview, observation, questionnaire and recording. The analysis method used in this research was descriptive analytical method. Data were analysed using multiple linear regression analysis. Primary and secondary data were analysed to yield answers on the research problems. The results showed that factors affecting the sweet potato farmers' income were sweet potato production, labour costs, the farmers' experience and the farmers' age. According to the data analysis, the total costs spent by farmers amounted to Rp 2,275,814.00/planting season, with a fixed cost of Rp 82,914.00/planting season and variable costs of Rp. 2,192,900/planting season. Whereas, the revenue amounted to Rp 4,702,626.00/planting season and income amounted to Rp 2,426,812.00/planting season. The quantity BEP value was equal to 1,608 kg/planting season. Whereas, the rupiah BEP amounted to Rp 4,106,554/ planting season. The RC Ratio value in the sweet potato farming was 2.10

    Libraries, museums and archives hold valuable collections in a variety of media, presenting a vast body of knowledge rooted in the history of human civilisation. These form the repository of the wisdom of great works by thinkers of past and the present. The holdings of these institutions are priceless heritage of the mankind as they preserve documents, ideas, and the oral and written records. To value the cultural heritage and to care for it as a treasure bequeathed to us by our ancestors is the major responsibility of libraries. The past records constitute a natural resource and are indispensable to the present generation as well as to the generations to come. Libraries preserve the documentary heritage resources for which they are primarily responsible. Any loss of such materials is simply irreplaceable. Therefore, preserving this intellectual, cultural heritage becomes not only the academic commitment but also the moral responsibility of the librarians/information scientists, who are in charge of these repositories. The high quality of the papers and the discussion represent the thinking and experience of experts in their particular fields. The contributed papers also relate to the methodology used in libraries in Asia to provide access to manuscripts and cultural heritage.
