Verificación de los hechos: Aplicación metodológica en el medio de comunicación El Bacán

The verification of the facts or fact-checking is a practice immersed in journalism that aims to offer quality information to users, this despite the fact that fact-checking is currently presented as a new ecosystem of the profession, However, this research focuses on analyzing the application of data verification in the digital media El Bacán. The objective was to identify the process of productive routines in said environment. The study was supported by a qualitative approach, under a results triangulation technique given by the theoretical analysis of several authors, an interview with the polyfunctional director of the medium and consultations with communication specialists. This comparison of the data collected allowed to identify that the verification process involved in the El Bacán communication medium closely resembles what the authors propose, however, it concludes that as it is a communication medium that does not have professionals for the construction of the news, there is the possibility that they make journalistic errors, both in the production and in the treatment and verification of the information. Keywords: Fact-checking, productive routines, editorial filters, infodemic.La verificación de los hechos o fact-checking es una práctica inmersa en el periodismo que tiene como objetivo ofrecer información de calidad a los usuarios, esto a pesar de que en la actualidad el fact-checking se presenta como un nuevo ecosistema de la profesión, sin embargo, esta investigación se centra en analizar la aplicación de la verificación de datos en el medio de comunicación digital El Bacán. El objetivo fue identificar el proceso de rutinas productivas en dicho medio. El estudio se apoyó en un enfoque cualitativo, bajo una técnica de triangulación de resultados dada por el análisis teórico de varios autores, una entrevista con el director polifuncional del medio y consultas con especialistas en comunicación. Esta comparación de los datos recolectados permitió identificar que el proceso de verificación involucrado en el medio de comunicación de El Bacán se asemeja mucho a lo que proponen los autores, sin embargo, concluye que al ser un medio de comunicación que no cuenta con profesionales para la construcción de la noticia, existe la posibilidad de que cometan errores periodísticos, tanto en la producción como en el tratamiento y verificación de la información.
