Filling the Gap between Metric Regularity and Fixed Points: The Linear Openness of Compositions

This paper is devoted to the investigation of an important issue recently brought into attention by a recent paper of Arutyunov: the relation between openness of composition of set-valued maps and fixed point results. More precisely, we prove a general result concerning the openness of compositions and then we show that this result covers and implies most of the known openness results. In particular, we reobtain several recent results in this field, including a fixed point theorem of Dontchev and Frankowska.Comment: 16 page

Chain Rules for Linear Openness in Metric Spaces. Applications to Parametric Variational Systems

In this work we present a general theorem concerning chain rules for linear openness of set-valued mappings acting between metric spaces. As particular cases, we obtain classical and also some new results in this field of research, including the celebrated Lyusternik-Graves Theorem. The applications deal with the study of the well-posedness of the solution mappings associated to parametric variational systems. Sharp estimates for the involved regularity moduli are given

Metric regularity of composition set-valued mappings: metric setting and coderivative conditions

The paper concerns a new method to obtain a direct proof of the openness at linear rate/metric regularity of composite set-valued maps on metric spaces by the unification and refinement of several methods developed somehow separately in several works of the authors. In fact, this work is a synthesis and a precise specialization to a general situation of some techniques explored in the last years in the literature. In turn, these techniques are based on several important concepts (like error bounds, lower semicontinuous envelope of a set-valued map, local composition stability of multifunctions) and allow us to obtain two new proofs of a recent result having deep roots in the topic of regularity of mappings. Moreover, we make clear the idea that it is possible to use (co)derivative conditions as tools of proof for openness results in very general situations.Comment: 29 page

On Subregularity Properties of Set-Valued Mappings. Applications to Solid Vector Optimization

In this work we classify the at-point regularities of set-valued mappings into two categories and then we analyze their relationship through several implications and examples. After this theoretical tour, we use the subregularity properties to deduce implicit theorems for set-valued maps. Finally, we present some applications to the study of multicriteria optimization problems

The Influence of the Environmental and Physiological Factors on the Quality of Boar Sus Scrofa Ferus Meat

A series of qualitative analysis of the species Sus scrofa Ferus meat represented by 17 adult males, 10 adult females and 14 heads youth of both sexes were performed. The amount of water, dry matter, protein, collagen and fat were investigated. The measurements were performed with the FoodScanâ„¢ Meat Analyser instrument, the samples being a 150 gr Longisimus Dorsi muscle taken from a 150 g back pulp for each individual. Data were statistically interpreted by evaluating the mean and dispersion indices. The testing of the differences for the analyzed characters was conducting by the Student test. It appears that there are significant differences between youth 75.57%, 73.68% adult females and adult males 71.1%. This character is strongly influenced by the harvest season and age.For the high quality protein the average is between 21.23% for youth and a minimum of 20.03% in females, depending on the category of muscle analyzed, depending also if the meat is fresh or frozen. The before mentioned authors showed values from 16.3% for youth to 20.05% in adults

Aspects of Interaction Between Genotype - Environment on the Prolificacy of the Formation of Inbred Swiss Mice

    Get PDF
This paper presents the method of formation of inbred lines of mice population of the Swiss strain. Aspects are presented with respect to prolificacy of inbred and non-inbred parental couples with different coefficients (25%, 37.5% and 50%). The statistical data show the major influence of the degree of homozygosity through identity of gene origin on the number of offspring. There were no reported hereditary malformations leading to the disappearance of individual carriers

Considerations upon Body Conformation in Cervus elaphus from Gurghiu Mountains

    Get PDF
Initially, data were statistically processed and interpreted from 15 Cervus elaphus specimens.  As such, the 15 specimens analyzed were shot within the approved quota, broken down by trophies and selection specimens, hence a minimum of 122 cm and a maximum of 167 cm were established for body length, as well as a minimum of 200 kg and a maximum of 275 kg for the weight measured during the rutting period. Therefore, it can be observed, for the most part, that they fit within the intervals cited by literature

Aphrodisiac Activity of Vanda Tessellata (Roxb.) and Other Medicinal Plants with Aphrodisiac Potential

    Get PDF
An aphrodisiac is a substance that increases sexual desire when consumed. The name comes from “Aphrodite”, the Greek goddess of love. Sexual health and function has been universally recognized as a vital component of a normal and healthy lifestyle. Sexual dysfunction (SD), especially erectile dysfunction (ED) is a serious public health problem that affects the sexual life of millions of men worldwide. Erectile dysfunction (ED) is defined as the repeated inability to get or keep an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse. Treatment of ED involves many natural aphrodisiac potentials. This review discusses about aphrodisiac potential of Vanda Tessellata, an epiphytic orchid, and other medicinal plants, which are helpful for researchers to develop new herbal aphrodisiac formulations. In the recent years, there is a progressively increased interest to develop novel herbal drugs for treating sexual dysfunction, particularly erectile dysfunction

Toxicological Tests of Tumolit and Artemisinin Products on Laboratory Mice and Rats

This paper presents the experimental results establishing the lethal dose (LD) of the two products considered to have antitumor effect:Tumolit and Artemisinin. For testing, we used an experimental design including two species of gnawers, Swiss mice and Wistar rats. Two experimental groups were used, consisting of 20 Swiss male mice each, as well as two groups of 10 Wistar rats/lot. In interpreting the results of the research and in the development of the experimental protocol, we took into account the toxicity scale after Hodge and Sterner. Initial doses were usedof both products at 200mg / kg / body for each mouse and rat, respectively, administered orallyin single-doses. Between each oral dose, there was one day of rest in order to evaluate possible effects. As mentioned in theProtocol, the dose was increased to500mg dose / kg / body, then to 1000 mg / kg / body, 2000mg / kg / body and then to 5000 mg / kg / body. At this last dose, administration was disrupted in mice. For rats, doses were further increased in three innings to 5000 mg / kg / body, 15,000 mg / kg / body concerned 20,000 mg / kg / body in single oral dose.  The administration was done by gavage in a single dose. There were no toxicity effects reported at any dose level applied, which is why we conclude that the two products are practically non-toxic.Â

The “components of yield” approach has been used widely to explain variations in the yield of grain legumes. The study has been conducted at Vegetable Research and Development Station (VRDS Buzau), under the normal testing conditions of 2018. The biological material was represented by 12 genotypes from the climbing beans(Phaseolus vulgarisL.) collectionof the Physiology, Agro-chemistry and Organic Crops Laboratory. A significant genetic variability has been found between climbing bean genotypes, for all indicators which have been analyzed. Some elements which define the pod architecture, the thickness and width have had a significant positive influence on yield indexes for climbing bean genotypes. Two lines of the climbing beans collection(L49M şi L6U) at VRDS Buzau have been identified with a very good performance in yield index on climatic conditions of 2018. These varieties could be used in the breeding program in agro-ecological system for obtaining new cultivars with a good performance in yield
