Good stability in normal circumstances. Stability study of sodium-p- aminohippurate injection fluids

The stability of injection fluids sodium p-aminohippurate (PAH)(1 ml=250 mg and 1 ml=200 mg) has been studied with stability-indicating HPLC-assay. It was shown that a 1% solution of PAH (pH7) and a PAH-injection fluid were stable insensitive for degradation after 1 week of storage at 80°C. During shelf-life investigation of the PAH-injection fluids no decrease in PAH- content was found during 12 months. Moreover, no degradation products of PAH could be detected. It is concluded, that a preliminary shelf-life 24 months can be given to the examined PAH-injection fluids
