Structural, Morphological and 1/f noise Properties of ITO/TiO2 thin Films by e-beam Evaporation System for Optoelectronic Device Applications
In the present research study, ITO/TiO2 thin films were prepared on a glass substrate by using an electron beam (e-beam) evaporation system at different annealing temperatures (300, 350, 400 and 450 °C). The amorphous and crystalline natures of ITO/TiO2 structure were analyzed by X-ray diffraction study. As the grain size becomes larger, indirectly it will develop the crystalline quality of the TiO2 films studied from AFM. The surface of TiO2 films and the crystalline size of the sample were increased gradually with respect to a temperature that is observed in SEM. The elemental composition determined by the energy dispersive analysis of EDAX showed that TiO2 thin films were highly stoichiometric. Further, the higher optical transmittance (93%) was obtained with 450 °C annealed ITO/TiO2 film. The optical band gap increased along with annealing temperatures (300, 350, 400 and 450 °C). All the above results of this present work can be utilized for solar cell and optoelectronic device applications. © 2020 Author(s)
The insurance landscape for implant- and autologous-based breast reconstruction in the United States
UNLABELLED: Insurance coverage of postmastectomy breast reconstruction is mandated in America, regardless of reconstructive modality. Despite enhanced patient-reported outcomes, autologous reconstruction is utilized less than nonautologous reconstruction nationally. Lower reimbursement from Medicare and Medicaid may disincentivize autologous-based reconstruction. This study examines the impact of insurance and sociodemographic factors on breast reconstruction.
METHODS: A retrospective analysis of the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project National Inpatient Sample Database from 2014 to 2017 was performed. International Classification of Diseases Clinical Modification and Procedure Coding System codes were used to identify patients for inclusion. De-identified sociodemographic and insurance data were analyzed using
RESULTS: In total, 31,468 patients were identified for analysis and stratified by reconstructive modality, sociodemographics, insurance, and hospital characteristics. Most patients underwent nonautologous reconstruction (63.2%). Deep inferior epigastric perforator flaps were the most common autologous modality (46.7%). Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression identified Black race, urban-teaching hospitals, nonsmoking status, and obesity to be associated with autologous reconstruction. Publicly-insured patients were less likely to undergo autologous reconstruction than privately-insured patients. Within autologous reconstruction, publicly-insured patients were 1.97 (
CONCLUSIONS: Breast reconstruction is influenced by insurance, hospital demographics, and sociodemographic factors. Action to mitigate this health disparity should be undertaken so that surgical decision-making is solely dependent upon medical and anatomic factors
Meglumine Sulphate: an Efficient Catalyst for the Synthesis of bis(indolyl)methanes
The reaction of indoles with carbonyl compounds in the presence of 5mol% Meglumine Sulphate (MS) in acetonitrile was executed to synthesize bis(indolyl)methane derivatives using conventional and ultrasonication methods. The reaction proceeded in shorter reaction time in ultrasonication methodology leading to high yield of the products. © 2020 Author(s)
DETECTING OUTLIERS USING EUCLIDEAN DISTANCE IN UNSUPERVISED METHOD
The interest in outlier is difficult because they include important and practical data in a number of domain names, for example invasion and recognition of fraud in addition to medical diagnosis. It had been in recent occasions observed that distribution of point reverse-neighbour counts become skewed in high dimensions that results within phenomenon acknowledged as hubness. We offer a unifying vision of role concerning reverse nearest neighbour counts within problems relevant to without supervision outlier detection, and concentrate on high dimensionality effects on without supervision outlier-detection techniques additionally to hubness phenomenon. The appearance of anti-hubs is caused by high dimensionality when neighbourhood dimensions are small when in comparison to data size. These anti-hubs occurrence is strongly consort with outlier in high-dimensional in addition to low dimensional data
Synthesis and Antifungal Activity of Diamidomethane Linked Oxazolyl/thiazolyl/imidazolyl Isoxazoles
Nitrogen containing heterocyclic compounds have great utility in synthetic, medicinal and material chemistry. Oxazole, isoxazole, thiazole, imidazole and their derivatives have gained prominence as they constitute the structural features of many bioactive compounds. In fact, amide functionality represents a privileged scaffold of biomolecules and many drugs. The combination of two or more heterocycles linked by amide functionality into one molecular framework would yield new chemical entities with enhanced pharmacological activities. Besides, development of environmentally benign methods with improved yields is highly desirable. In our continued interest to synthesize a variety of bioactive heterocycles, we planned to develop some new isoxazoles in combination with oxazoles / thiazoles / imidazoles adopting green methodologies and to study their antifungal activity. The results related to these aspects will be presented. © 2022 Author(s)
Complete genome sequences of two Helicobacter pylori strains from a Canadian Arctic Aboriginal community
We report here the complete genome sequences of two Amerind Helicobacter pylori strains from Aklavik, Northwest Territories, Canada. One strain contains extra iron-cofactored urease genes and ~140 rearrangements in its chromosome relative to other described strains (typically differing from one another by <10 rearrangements), suggesting that it represents a novel lineage of H. pylori
Genome sequences of three hpAfrica2 strains of Helicobacter pylori
We present the genome sequences of three hpAfrica2 strains of Helicobacter pylori, which are postulated to have evolved in isolation for many millennia in people of San ethnicity. Although previously considered to be ancestral to Helicobacter acinonychis, the hpAfrica2 strains differ markedly from H. acinonychis in their gene arrangement. These data provide new insights into Helicobacter evolution
