Safe working of any construction industry and its operation is the premier priority and it is a cumulative effort of the safety officer, manager, head of department of concerned department, employees, supervisors and workers etc. This provides a better outcome in end in minimizing the accidents. The comparative result and the safety performance for the past few year accidents can help to minimize the accident scenario. Hence we require some techniques for determining the safety measures and to provide safety performance measuring rating for the construction industry. Such techniques and type of rating help to monitor to identify the weakness in implementation of safety program in the industry and providing a more sturdy safety system program. The safety rating and measurement of safety performance is beneficial to all people in management to know the progress of safety culture in their industry. Severity of the accident can be well identified by using the most powerful tool that is by the process of Quantitative monitoring. In this method we can get a proper value and detail idea about the most and least cause of unsafe work that is caused in terms of safety. This study compares the accident detail program of different industry for the past few years with an attempt to better understand the progress of safety culture in the industry. In this thesis we are basically focusing on the quantitative measures of various programs

Individualized employee engagement or collaborative employee relations: insights on leadership strategies to manage employees in the UK market

Leadership can be defined as the ability of an individual to lead or guide other people, teams or organizations. There have been many theories related to this topic including the characteristics of leaders, their situational communication, purpose, performance, authority, vision and mission, charm and presence of mind. The main types of employee engagement discussed in this study are individualized employee engagement and collaborative employee engagement in the context of the UK. This study mainly seeks to investigate the insights of employees and leaders on different leadership strategies to manage employees in the UK-based MNCs. Descriptive and inferential analysis was performed so as to ascertain the influence of two different leadership strategies – Individualized Employee Engagement (IEE) and Collaborative Employee Relations (CER) – on effective employee management. It was validated from findings in this study that employees and leaders both prefer and believe that individualized employee engagement leads to better and effective employee management

Indication of a Co-Existing Phase of Quarks and Hadrons in Nucleus - Nucleus Collisions

The variation of average transverse mass of identified hadrons with charge multiplicity have been studied for AGS, SPS and RHIC energies. The observation of a plateau in the average transverse mass for multiplicities corresponding to SPS energies is attributed to the formation of a co-existence phase of quark gluon plasma and hadrons. A subsequent rise for RHIC energies may indicate a deconfined phase in the initial state. Several possibilities which can affect the average transverse mass are discussed. Constraints on the initial temperature and thermalization time have been put from the various experimental data available at SPS energies.Comment: 4 pages and 2 figures, title changed and draft modifie

Elliptic flow of thermal dileptons as a probe of QCD matter

We study the variation of elliptic flow of thermal dileptons with transverse momentum and invariant mass of the pairs for Pb+Pb collisions at sNN\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 2.76 TeV. The dilepton productions from quark gluon plasma (QGP) and hot hadrons have been considered including the spectral change of light vector mesons in the thermal bath. The space time evolution has been carried out within the frame work of 2+1 dimensional ideal hydrodynamics with lattice+hadron resonance gas equation of state. We find that a judicious selection of invariant mass(M) and transverse momentum (p_T) windows can be used to extract the collective properties of quark matter, hadronic matter and also get a distinct signature of medium effects on vector mesons. Our results indicate a reduction of elliptic flow (v_2) for M beyond phi mass, which if observed experimentally would give the measure of v_2 of the partonic phase.Comment: To appear in Phys. Rev.
