The Relationship between Personality and Physical Activity

    Get PDF
The present article is a meta-analysis of existing literature regarding the relationship between personality and physical activity. The interest of specialists for the role of the athlete's personality in achieving sports performance is highlighted by various studies and research. However, it was not possible to establish a certain "standard" for the personality of the athletes who achieve great sport performance, but a number of common features were revealed. On the other hand, the second direction of this meta-analytical study regards personality development based on its classical structure, temper, skills and individual character of sport practicing subjects

Aspects regarding speed development in football game in 12 - 14 years old children

Football in schools, top level football, or football for masses have a wide range of issues studied by theory and methodology in order to render these football branches more effective, and to find other ways or means to achieve in optimal conditions the objectives of this sports area. Football theory comprises a wide array of knowledge structured into a coherent and logical system that describes and explains this phenomenon. Thus, theory is divided into two notions, one being the description of the content, and the other, its explanation. Football methodology takes over and adapts some general principles, methods and means of pedagogy, physical education, sports, sports training, but also of sports games methodology. It also includes principles, methods and means of training in football. In schools, football is part of the curriculum. In this context, we aim to study some aspects of speed development using football and its specific methods as intervention means. The age category we have addressed is represented by children aged 12-14 years. We chose to study speed development because it is an extremely important element in the acquisition of motor skills at this specific age in children

Aspects regarding the physical training level of "CSL Sporting Lugaș" female football team during the competitive year 2017-2018

This study was designed to determine the evolution of the physical training level of the "CSL SPORTING LUGAȘ" female football during the competitive year 2017-2018 by conducting two tests before and after the physical training program, and using Gacon and Yo-Yo tests. These tests are an element of novelty in Romanian football overall and in female football especially, as they introduce a certain level of competition, generating emulation and desire to compete. These tests have a high degree of difficulty. In this regard, we can also highlight athletes` desire to complete the tests with best results

Considerations regarding the evolution, distribution and dynamics of the romanian football (League I) between 1989 - 2016

The present study aims to highlight different issues related to: the evolution, repartition and dynamics of the Romanian football (League I) between 1989 – 2016 by using an analytical approach, from singular to particular, from the team (seen as a basic cell in football) to location, county, development regions, historical region and country (seen as administrative units that support football). The importance of the study emerges from the explanatory and logical approach, from the mechanisms that contributed to the development and consolidation of the Romanian football (League I), in close correlation with the postcommunist socio-economic transformations which have defined each administrative unit involved as part of the Romanian national state

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant effect on ordinary activities and lifestyles. As a result of all these changes, it was anticipated that the level of physical activity would also change. Knowing and highlighting the effects of the pandemic on the CSU Oradea women's handball team can generate relevant data regarding the involvement of the players in the preparation process and also the obtained results in the competitions. The subjects of the research have been 16 members of the CSU Oradea women's handball team from the 2020-2021 season. The questionnaires applied, which includes 22 items, was pretested and then applied online between April and May 2021, without undergoing changes from one subject to another. The female athletes of the CSU Oradea team were mostly affected by this pandemic, primarily in terms of sports

ASPECTS REGARDING THE ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE, QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF SPORT IN HIGHER EDUCATION IN ROMANIA

This study addresses sport in higher education in rel ation to its organization structure, quality and sports performance. We have studied documents, normative acts and the way in which certain decisional factors involved in higher education sports activities are organized. The lack of a concrete strategy inthis respect, renders the information sources to be relatively limited. Particularly, our research was based on scientific documentation, historical method and document analysis. There is a small number of legitimated athletes related to the number of higher education students. Higher education sport is a non-functional system, it cannot generate a representative number of participants in the National University Championships, and the international representation is not a natural consequence of the internal competition. Therefore, it is imperative for higher education sports to be the foundation of performance sports. This involves changing both the approach to this phenomenon and its organizational structure. Also, the development of human resources and sports infrastructure are essential conditions for the development ofsports activity

Thermal Transfer Analysis for Sports Footwear, for Performance Athletes, during Volleyball Training

The purpose of this paper is a social one, to present various experimental thermal analyses of sports footwear to identify the areas that ensure the best foot ventilation for comfort in movement. The mechanical properties of the analyzed footwear were determined on the Nano Indenter Agilent G200, with the help of which Young’s modulus was determined according to ISO 14577. Thermography measurements were performed at the Oradea University Sports Club. The FLIR SC 640 thermal imaging camera was used, which is a portable thermographic scanning equipment. The measurements were performed on eight athletes (subjects) in a volleyball training session, wearing sports footwear (Asics and Mizuno). Thermographic recordings were made during training at five different times: moment zero (before the start of training), moment one (2 min of training), moment two (5 min of training), moment three (15 min of training), and moment four (at the end of the volleyball training session). For the other three subjects, although having different models of the same sports footwear, the analysis of the thermal distribution values shows they are within the minimum and maximum limits of the five subjects analyzed in the paper. Based on the thermographic recording values obtained, a mathematical model was determined using polynomial regression to predict temperature values outside the range of the experimental data. In the present paper, research was carried out in order to identify the thermal variations of indoor sports shoes used in volleyball training so as to detect the heat exchange between the foot and the outdoor environment. Whether we are talking about winter sports or sports that take place in other atmospheric conditions, the comfort given by the optimal temperature at the level of each body segment is certainly reflected in the level of performance achieved

Background: In Romania, the abuse within the family of the minor child is a widespread phenomenon, its extent is insufficiently known because of ignorance/not reporting all the existing cases. Methods: The participants of the research are represented by two independent groups from the NW Romania 2007-2011, one for sociological study (1544 parents and 1283 children) and another for forensic statistical study (2761 cases of abused children). The sociological study was carried out by analyzing questionnaires applied in schools located in Bihor County, both to children and parents. The statistical analysis was carried out by studying the cases of the physically, sexually, and psychologically abused minors, recorded at Bihor County Forensic Service. Results: Physical neglect and physical abuse are the most common forms of child abuse. The forensic analysis highlight that most of the victims are male from urban areas. Physical abuse is more common in the 16-18 age group, psychological abuse in children aged between 6-10 yr, and sexual abuse in children under the age of 14 years. Girls were subject to sexual abuse, neglect, and emotional abuse, more frequently in rural areas; boys were most often victims of exploitation, physical, and emotional abuse in both urban and rural areas. Conclusion: The results of the study led to the formulation of general guidelines on this phenomenon and highlight the need for proposals to improve the current situation of child abuse within the family

Tourism and Biodiversity in Natura 2000 Sites. Case Study: Natura 2000 Valea Roșie (Red Valley) Site, Bihor County, Romania

The paper focuses on investigation of the importance of nature and development of tourism in protected areas. Therefore, in this context a new challenge is emerging: the need to conserve and protect bio and geo diversity, as well as the economic valorisation of these areas based mainly on tourism and leisure. At EU level, Natura 2000 protected areas have developed, implemented and cultivated the need to practice sport and recreational activities in these areas both for spending leisure time and also as stress antidote. The recreational and sporting practices that can be undertaken within the ecological network Natura 2000 sites adapted to the specificity of each protected area, in close connection with the environmental conditions. For the preservation of the natural environment should develop and maintain a close collaboration with tourism and sports associations that organize such activities in those areas
