Quasi-classical versus non-classical spectral asymptotics for magnetic Schroedinger operators with decreasing electric potentials
We consider the Schroedinger operator H on L^2(R^2) or L^2(R^3) with constant
magnetic field and electric potential V which typically decays at infinity
exponentially fast or has a compact support. We investigate the asymptotic
behaviour of the discrete spectrum of H near the boundary points of its
essential spectrum. If the decay of V is Gaussian or faster, this behaviour is
non-classical in the sense that it is not described by the quasi-classical
formulas known for the case where V admits a power-like decay.Comment: Corrected versio
Recoil Studies in the Reaction of 12-C Ions with the Enriched Isotope 118-Sn
The recoil properties of the product nuclei from the interaction of 2.2
GeV/nucleon 12-C ions from Nuclotron of the Laboratory of High Energies (LHE),
Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) at Dubna with a 118-Sn target have
been studied using catcher foils. The experimental data were analyzed using the
mathematical formalism of the standard two-step vector model. The results for
12-C ions are compared with those for deuterons and protons. Three different
Los Alamos versions of the Quark-Gluon String Model (LAQGSM) were used for
comparison with our experimental data.Comment: 10 pages, 6 figures, submitted to Nucl. Phys.
Eigenvalue estimates in the semi–classical limit for Pauli and Dirac operators with a magnetic field
Efficiency calibration of a mini-orange type beta-spectrometer by the beta sup - -spectrum of sup 9 sup 0 Sr
A specific method for efficiency calibration of a mini-orange type beta-spectrometer by means of the continuous beta sup - -spectrum of sup 9 sup 0 Sr and the conversion electron spectrum of sup 2 sup 0 sup 7 Bi in the energy range from 500 to 2200 keV has been elaborated. In the experiment typical SmCo sub 5 magnets (6A and 8A) were used. An accuracy of efficiency determination was 5-10 %
