The Minsk City Card: building awareness of a new tourist product
Факультет международных отношенийThis article is devoted to the problem of building awareness of a city card as a new type of tourist product for Minsk. Much attention is given to the current state of the development of the Minsk City Card. The advantages and disadvantages of the Card are assessed during the comparison with the analogue from another city. The article is focused on the search for new prospects for the Card’s development, which can be implemented in the near future in order to increase its popularity among foreign tourists. This article can become practically relevant as the ideas that are suggested in it can become a part of the Belarusian tourism development strategy

The main differences between financial and management accounting are explained. Much attention is given to the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI) and principles of its operation. The Key Performance Indicators used in the Hospitality Industry are analysed. Advantages and disadvantages of the USALI standards are assessed during the practical research. The article is focused on models of USALI implementation. The recommendations for the improvement of management accounting system in the Belarusian hotels are given

Формирование конкурентоспособного туристского комплекса Республики БеларусьIn the article the basic European and international standards of an assessment of a national tourism product are considered. The key components of the competitiveness index are analysed with a view to identifying specific factors which determine the competitive advantages of the country in the tourism market. In accordance with the World Economic Forum methodology, the assessment of the quantitative and qualitative indicators forming the competitiveness of the national tourism product of the Republic of Belarus is carried out. On the basis of the calculated sub indices the tourism product competitiveness index of the Republic of Belarus is estimated. The principal competitive advantages of the national tourism product are revealed.В статье рассмотрены основные европейские и международные стандарты оценки конкурентоспособности национального туристского продукта. Проанализированы ключевые составляющие индекса конкурентоспособности с целью выявления отдельных факторов, определяющих конкурентные преимущества страны на рынке туристских услуг. В соответствии с методикой Всемирного экономического форума проведена оценка количественных и качественных показателей, формирующих конкурентоспособность национального туристского продукта для Республики Беларусь. На основании рассчитанных субиндексов определен индекс конкурентоспособности туристского продукта Республики Беларусь. Выявлены основные конкурентные преимущества национального туристского продукта
