Sensitivity of the LHC to Kaluza-Klein gluon in two b-jets decay channel
We study a possibility of observation of the first Kaluza-Klein (KK)
excitation of gluon in a warped extra dimension model at the LHC. In our
analysis, we adopt the KK gluon mass and the b-quark coupling to the KK gluon
as model parameters and study the sensitivity of the ATLAS experiment to
observe the KK gluon through the two -jets channel.Comment: Contribution to the proceedings of the Hadron Collider Physics

Top quark spin correlations in the Randall-Sundrum model at the CERN Large Hadron Collider
In the Randall-Sundrum model, we study top-antitop pair production and top
spin correlations at the Large Hadron Collider. In addition to the Standard
Model processes, there is a new contribution to the top-antitop pair production
process mediated by graviton Kaluza-Klein modes in the s-channel. We calculate
the density matrix for the top-antitop pair production including the new
contribution. With a reasonable parameter choice in the Randall-Sundrum model,
we find a sizable deviation of the top-antitop pair production cross section
and the top spin correlations from those in the Standard Model. In particular,
resonant productions of the graviton Kaluza-Klein modes give rise to a
remarkable enhancement of such a deviation.Comment: 18 pages, 7 figures, discussion added, typos corrected, references

Effects of unparticle on top spin correlation at the Large Hadron Collider
We study effects of the scale invariant hidden sector, unparticle, proposed
by Georgi, on top spin correlation at the Large Hadron Collider. Assuming no
flavor changing interaction between the unparticles and the Standard Model
particles, there arises the top-antitop quark pair production process through
virtual unparticle exchanges in the s-channel in addition to the Standard Model
processes. In particular, we consider contributions of scalar and vector
unparticles and find that these make sizable deviations of the top spin
correlation from the Standard Model one.Comment: 29 pages, 1 table, 12 figures, 2 figures added, typos in captions

A Method for Real-Time Aggregation of a Product Footprint during Manufacturing
To assess cost, time investment, energy consumption and carbon emission of manufacturing on a per-piece basis, a bottom-up approach for aggregating a real-time product footprint is proposed. This method allows the evaluation of the environmental impact of a batch or even single product using monitoring or simulation data. To analyze the infrastructure, the production plant is decomposed into modules that are in relation to each other via inputs and outputs. Distinguishing between modules for production, logistics, energy system, buildings and auxiliary systems, the different approaches for distributing resource consumption between the products are presented. Special attention is paid to typical scenarios that occur in production plants and problems that may arise from them. For example, the incorporation of standby-, setup- and ramp-up times, the energy consumption of the administration and the allocation of different products and by-products manufactured at a machine are taken into account
