A novel morphometric nomenclature to evaluate osseointegration of intraosseous implants

The aim of the study was to develop an optimal system of criteria to evaluate the osseointegration of intraosseous dental implants and then to analysis and predict their static and dynamic competence. Results. We propose a unified nomenclature for the morphometric evaluation of osseointegration of dental implants; this novel system is based on the recommendations of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research as well as recent studies on cranial and maxillofacial implants including our own experience. Conclusion. The proposed nomenclature can be used as a basic unified platform for experimental and clinical studies on the efficacy and safety of dental implants. © 2018, Privolzhsky Research Medical University. Морфологические аспекты аутотрансплантации костной ткани

Restoration of bone structures for various pathological processes is the most actual problem of modern cranial and maxillofacial surgery. Various autografts including free cortical, cortical and spongiform grafts, as well as pedicled donor materials are widely used in these procedures. This article is devoted to analysis of morphological and histological features of replaced bone grafts depending on their function, as well as physiological processes of bone grafting.Восстановление костных структур при различных патологических процессах является наиболее актуальной проблемой современной черепно-челюстно-лицевой хирургии, в которой широко используется множество разновидностей аутотрансплантатов: от свободных кортикальных, кортикально-губчатых, губчатых трансплантатов до донорских материалов на сосудистой ножке. В статье представлена попытка научного объяснения изменения не только морфологии, но и гистологии пересаженных костных трансплантатов в зависимости от выполняемой функции, а также физиологических процессов костной пластики наряду с обзором соответствующих концепций и современных исследований
