Massive and Massless Scalar Field and Confinement
Generalization of QCD motivated classical SU(2) Yang--Mills theory coupled to
the scalar field is discussed. The massive scalar field, corresponding the
scalar glueball, provides a confining potential for static, point-like,
external sources. In case of massless scalar field screening solutions are
found. However, there is a confining sector as well. Both, massive and massless
confining solutions are compared with phenomenological potentials. The case of
non-dynamical permittivity is also discussed.Comment: 10 pages, LaTeX, Accepted for publication in Eur. Phys. J.
Quark-antiquark potentials from a scalar field in SU(2) YM
A generalized Dick model with a potential term is discussed. The solution
originating from a static, pointlike, color source is found to have a confining
part. The comparison with a wide spectrum of phenomenological quark-antiquark
potentials is presented.Comment: 6 pages, LaTeX; to appear in Eur. Phys. J.
Economic and Financial Situation of Furniture Removal Services (H4923.04) and Bridge and Viaduct Construction (F4210.32) Enterprises
The primary objective of this investigative work was to determine among the ISICs analyzed – the furniture removal services (H4923.04) and construction of bridges and viaducts (F4210.32), both of which maintain good operation and management – the ISIC that has better economic operation than the other. Bibliographic materials and calculations were studied, and a quantitative approach based on a deductive scheme was applied. Data were analyzed using the Microsoft Excel sheet. It was found that Ciiu 1: H4923.04 – FURNITURE MOVING SERVICES – has had a better economic standing in its operation compared to Ciiu 2 F4210.32 – CONSTRUCTION OF BRIDGES AND VIADUCTS – that presents values at 0 in its financial ratios, that is to say, its financial performance is not positive. The means obtained from each financial ratio were analyzed together with the coefficient of variation which showed that the data tend to be more dispersed in Ciiu 1: H4923.04 – FURNITURE MOVING SERVICES – since Ciiu 2 did not present data. Therefore, to conclude, it was possible to obtain the means of each of the ISICs in question in order to obtain a comparison between the two and to know the benefits they have obtained in the years 2018 and 2019.

Unconventional cosmology on the (thick) brane
We consider the cosmology of a thick codimension 1 brane. We obtain the
matching conditions leading to the cosmological evolution equations and show
that when one includes matter with a pressure component along the extra
dimension in the brane energy-momentum tensor, the cosmology is of non-standard
type. In particular one can get acceleration when a dust of non-relativistic
matter particles is the only source for the (modified) Friedman equation. Our
equations would seem to violate the conservation of energy-momentum from a 4D
perspective, but in 5D the energy-momentum is conserved. One could write down
an effective conserved 4D energy-momentum tensor attaching a ``dark energy''
component to the energy-momentum tensor of matter that has pressure along the
extra dimension. This extra component could, on a cosmological scale, be
interpreted as matter-coupled quintessence. We comment on the effective 4D
description of this effect in terms of the time evolution of a scalar field
(the 5D radion) coupled to this kind of matter.Comment: 9 pages, v2. eq.(17) corrected, comments on effective theory change
