Unilateral or bilateral exophthalmos are very important during the childhood period, because various neoplasms can often invade the orbital region. It can be a first sign of an orbital or extraorbital tumor or a late manifestation of an advanced disease. Early diagnosis of any neoplasm presenting orbital infiltration can help to keep under control the disease before spreading to any other part of the body. Six selected cases with the primary of the secondary orbital infiltrations caused by various neoplasm are presented, and their frequency and peculiarities are discussed in this article

In the present study, full-thickness glaucoma filtering surgery was performed in single eyes of 20 rabbits. To assess the role of tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) and antimetabolites in the prognosis of glaucoma filtering surgery, these drugs were applied subconjunctivally to 16 eyes postoperatively. Four eyes were taken as controls. After administration of 7.5 mg 5-FU to 8, 0.6 mg Bleomycin to 4, and 100 micrograms tP4 to 4 eyes, the blebs were evaluated ultrastructurally. The specimens obtained from the antimetabolite administered eyes, showed excessive fibroblastic degeneration. In the tPA-applied eyes fibroblasts were structurally normal. On 10th postoperative day, outflow was found higher in drug-applied eyes than control eyes. Complications such as irritation, inflammation, corneal oedema, hyphema and subconjunctival haemorrhage couldn't be detected in any of the eyes
