    Research the influence of excipients on the technological properties of captopril fast dissolving films

    Drug-loaded films are of great interest among fast-dissolving drug-delivery systems. The creation of fast-dissolving films for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases is important.The first inhibitor of angiotensin-converting enzyme to appear on the world market was captopril, which is used to treat hypertension, chronic heart failure and others. Captopril has an antihypertensive effect, which manifests itself within 5–15 minutes after sublingual administration. The aim of our study was to develop the technology of captopril fast dissolving films by solvent casting method and analyze the influence of groups of excipients on technological properties of the films. The influence of the character of polymers, plasticizers, disintegrants and sweeteners on the technological properties of experimental batches of captopril fast dissolving films was studied. Such technological indicators as uniformity of weight, thickness, swelling index,tensile strength, elongationand disintegration time were studied. The influence of excipients' composition on the technological indicators of captopril fast dissolving films has been researched. It was found out that the effect of the type of polymer had the decisive influence on all parameters of films.The selected plasticizer determined the elasticity (films' elongation), film thickness and weight variation. Optimal values of the average weight and thickness of captopril films are provided by the use of a polymer in the combination of HPMC with PEG 4000 or a combination of HPMC with PEG 6000, as a plasticizer – glycerin or PEG 400. The best results of films' swelling were obtained with the introduction of HPMC brands Metolose® 90 SH 100 000 or Metolose® 65 SH 50, Polyplasdone XL-10 crospovidone, propylene glycol and sorbitol. The disintegration time less than 3 min was observed in all investigated film compositions, except those containing PVA. The highest value of tensile strength for captopril films was obtained using HPMC brand Metolose® 65 SH 50 or Metolose®90 SH 100 000. Using the desirability function, the optimal excipients within the studied groups were selected.It has been established that the optimal values of the technological parameters of captopril films can be achieved using Hydroxypropyl MethylcelluloseVivapharm® E15, polyethylene glycol 400, sodium starch glycolate and sorbitol

    The aim of the work. Investigation of rheological (thixotropic) properties of the developed gel and determination of temperature influence on its stability. Materials and Methods. The subject of the study was a gel for local treatment of burns based on a cross-linked copolymer of acrylic acid – a carbomer Carbopol® Ultrez 21 containing a water extract with xenoderm and lidocaine hydrochloride. The rheological properties studied on a rotary viscometer "Rheomat-30". The shear stress, dynamic viscosity and mechanical stability were studied as a characteristic of gel. Results and Discussion. In order to determine the flow type, the presence of thixotropic properties and the mechanical stability of the gel, the rheogram of its fluidity was investigated. During the experiments, it was found that the gel under investigation is a non-Newtonian fluid and had a plastic type of fluidity that characterizes it as a structured disperse system. The presence of thixotropic properties in the investigated gel characterizes the satisfactory ability to extrude from tubes and smearing. Conclusions. Dependence of rheological properties, in particular, structural viscosity of the investigated gel on temperature is determined. Calculated values of the mechanical stability of the gel allow predicting the stability of the drug during its intended shelf life.Мета роботи. Дослідження реологічних (тиксотропних) властивостей розробленого гелю та встановлення впливу температури на його стабільність. Матеріали і методи. Об’єктом дослідження обрано гель для місцевого лікування опіків на основі зшитого кополімеру акрилової кислоти – карбомеру Carbopol® Ultrez 21, що містить водний витяг із ксенодерми та лідокаїну гідрохлорид. Реологічні властивості досліджували на ротаційному віскозиметрі «Rheomat-30». Досліджували такі характеристики гелю, як напруга зсуву, динамічна в’язкість і механічну стабільність. Результати й обговорення. Для визначення типу течії, наявності тиксотропних властивостей і механічної стабільності гелю досліджено реограми його текучості. Під час експериментів встановлено, що досліджуваний гель є неньютонівською рідиною та має пластичний тип текучості, що характеризує його як структуровану дисперсну систему. Наявність тиксотропних властивостей у досліджуваному гелі характеризує задовільну здатність до екструзії з туб і намазування. Висновки. Визначено залежність реологічних властивостей, зокрема, структурної в’язкості досліджуваного гелю від температури. Розраховані значення механічної стабільності гелю дозволяють спрогнозувати стабільність препарату впродовж передбачуваного терміну його придатності

    The effect of a permanent magnetic field on the polymerization kinetics and structural parameters of a hydrogel network on the basis of 2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate with polyvinylpyrrolidone compositions has been investigated. It has been shown that the magnetic field activates matrix polymerization of mentioned compositions and assists in the structure formation of copolymers with a smaller crosslink density.     THE STUDY OF RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF TREATMENT GEL ON HYDROPHILIC BASIS

    The aim of the work. Determining the rheological properties of gel on the basis of guar gum with a complex dense extract (CDE) of hypericum herbs and calendula flowers and on this basis to make reasonable adjustments to the optimal composition of the gel. Materials and Methods. The subject of the study is a gel based on guar gum from CDE of hypericum herbs and calendula flowers. The determination of rheological properties was carried out at a temperature of 18, 35 and 50 °C applying viscometer Rheomat-30. The studies were carried out in shear field from 1 s-1 to 200 s-1 using coaxial cylinders. Results and Discussion. It has been defined that the developed gel is a non-Newtonian liquid; it has a plastic type of fluidity and slight thixotropic properties. The change of temperature in the range of 18, 35 and 50°C has almost no effect on the type of flow. With an increase in temperature, a slight decrease in viscosity is observed, which will provide the necessary parameters of the technological process and satisfactory consumer characteristics, in particular, good daubing properties and the ability to extrude from tubes. The formation of a stable gel structure indicates the prospect of using guar gum during processing of drugs that can be stored at different temperature conditions. Conclusion. There have been studied rheological properties of a gel with a guar gum on a hydrophilic basis with a complex dense extract of hypericum herbs and calendula flowers that is intended to treat wound processes in the second and third phases as well as oral mucosa diseases. According to the results of the studies there has been defined the dependence of the structural and mechanical properties of the gel on temperature and respective rheograms have been constructed

    The regularity data analysis of oculomotor and visual dysfunctions rehabilitation in 210 patients with cerebral arterial aneurisms were presented. The proposed rehabilitation therapy complex application in such patients during postoperative period lead to considerable improvement of lost functions. Проанализированы закономерности восстановления глазодвигательных нарушений и нарушений зрительных функций у 210 больных с аневризмой сосудов головного мозга. Применение предложенного комплекса восстановительного лечения больных после операции способствовало значительному улучшению их состояния. Проаналізовані закономірності відновлення окорухових порушень (ОРП) та розладів зорових функцій (РЗФ) у 210 хворих з аневризмою судин головного мозку. Використання запропонованого комплексу відновного лікування хворих після операції сприяло значному поліпшенню їх стану
