    Unification of Economic Systems in the Global Economy: Barriers and Preconditions

    The purpose of the article is to determine barriers and preconditions for reducing the differences in the level of development in the global economy's countries and to develop recommendations for solving the problem of the global economy's economic systems unification. In order to determine the gap between developed and developing countries, the authors use the comparative analysis method. In order to determine possibilities, problems, perspectives, and threats to overcoming the gap by developing countries, the authors use the SWOT-analysis method. For studying the global economy's economic development disproportions, this research uses specially developed proprietary analysis of gap depth in economic development. As a result of the analysis, the authors determined that the level of economic development of the most developed countries exceeds the level of developing countries by more than four times. This reflects a huge gap depth and a high level of differentiation for countries in the global economy. The authors conclude that barriers of unification of economic systems in the global economy are primarily related to socio-political factors. Preconditions to reducing the difference in level of economic development for countries in the global economy are predetermined by the influence of globalization and international integration of economic systems

    Resonance phenomena in photonic and magnonic crystals of multiferroics as part of thin-film fractal structures

    The paper examines nonlinear phenomena and effects in photonic and magnonic crystals of multiferroics being part of thin-film structures under exposure of external magnetic fields. The results of the fractal crystal modeling are analyzed. It is shown that for controllable smart coverings it is possible to employ the principle of reconfiguration of fractal antenna arrays with electronic commutation of subarrays. Development of a new element base on the basis of fractal photon and magnon crystals allows creating the newest devices of data processing and transmission

    Transnational Business as a Manifestation of the Integration of the Global Economy and a Driving Force of its Development

    The purpose of this article is to determine the significance of transnational business in the development of the global economic system, to present perspectives on its further functioning and distribution in the global economy, and to develop recommendations for state regulation of entrepreneurship in developing countries for the purposes of attracting transnational business and stimulating the internationalization of domestic business. To achieve this purpose, the authors use statistical information combined with several methods: substantiation of mathematical expressions "by contradiction", structural analysis, classical methods of analyzing economic effectiveness, comparative analysis, problem and SWOT-analysis, systemic analysis, modeling of the current state of (and perspectives on) the development of economic systems, and formalization. The authors reach the conclusion that transnational business is a manifestation and driving force of the development of the modern global economy and that maximization of the economic growth of the global economy in the long-term requires the creation of favorable conditions for further development of transnational business. Transnational business plays an important role in the development of the global economic system. Perspectives on the further functioning and distribution of transnational business in the global economy are connected to the development of integration processes and the realization of a free trade policy. To overcome threats to the development of transnational business, the authors of this study offer recommendations for state regulation of business in developing countries for the purpose of attracting transnational business and stimulating the internationalization of domestic business, and a special model is developed

    A comprehensive anticancer molecular study for genistein the promising anticancer drug

    Objective Genistein a potent isoflavonoid isolated from dietary soybean with a wide range of biological and therapeutic activities, particularly, in cancer prevention. The molecular mechanism that explains this powerful chemopreventive activity is still not fully understood. The study designed to give a clear and complete picture about this mechanism using a flow cytometry analysis and a quantitative real-time PCR to investigate 16 gene families for 1023 genes. Methods Human cervical cancer cells were treated with genistein IC 50 for 48 h. Cell-cycle arrest and apoptosis induction were investigated using flow cytometry analysis. The high-throughput quantitative PCR array was used to explore the up- and down-regulated genes affected by the treatment. Results The quantitative real-time PCR analysis demonstrated the up- and down-regulation to 11 cancer-related gene families due to genistein treatment. Most of the up- and down-regulated genes have a role in cell proliferation, DNA replication and cell cycle progress. These findings were in harmony with the flow cytometry analysis in which a significant increase was manifested in the apoptotic cells (P < 0.05) of the treated cell cultures (18.34%) when compared with untreated cell cultures (5.7%). Conclusion The results highly pointed on the importance of genistein as promising anticancer drug. A comprehensive map regarding the anticancer molecular mechanism of this natural compound was given and many new therapeutic targets to control cancer development were uncovered.
