    An apparatus for assessment of technical textiles electrical behavior

    An arrangement consisting of two methods for determination of textile materials electric resistance has been developed. One of them is based on the measurement of the current intensity through the examined sample, and the other one on recording the discharging dynamics of a capacitor through the sample. The facilities for testing textile materials in fiber, yarn and fabric form qualify this equipment as useful and reliable for examination of both apparel and technical textiles

    Powdered sample analysis in a double plasma arc source in a graphite tube

    A double plasma d.c. arc burning in a horizontal graphite tube in a magnetic field was developed as a light source for spectrochemical purposes. It was demonstrated experimentally that a prolongation of the residence time of the analyte particles in the plasma contributes to the detection of trace elements at very low concentrations. The influence of varying amounts of added NaCl and of a variable magnetic field on the line intensities of trace elements was investigated
