    PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA SMP DENGAN PENDEKATAN KONTEKSTUAL MELALUI MULTIMEDIA INTERAKTIF

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMP. Salah satu pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa adalah pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual melalui multimedia interaktif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) mengetahui apakah pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang pembelajarannya dengan pendekatan kontekstual melalui multimedia interaktif lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada yang pembelajarannya dengan pendekatan kontekstual tanpa multimedia interaktif; (2) mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang pembelajarannya dengan pendekatan kontekstual melalui multimedia interaktif lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada yang pembelajarannya dengan pendekatan kontekstual tanpa multimedia interaktif; dan (3) mengetahui apakah motivasi belajar siswa yang pembelajarannya dengan pendekatan kontekstual melalui multimedia interaktif lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada yang pembelajarannya dengan pendekatan kontekstual tanpa multimedia interaktif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII semester genap 2016/2017 di SMPN 1 Lembang, dengan sampel kelas VII D dan VII E. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental Design yang berbentuk Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, dan angket motivasi belajar siswa. Pengolahan dan analisis data menggunakan uji two Independent Sample t-Test, uji Mann Whitney dengan bantuan IMBSPSS Statistic 22 for Windows, dan uji Pearson dengan bantuan Microsoft Excel 2007, serta Method of Successive Interval (MSI) pada softwareMicrosoft Excel 2007. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang pembelajarannya dengan pendekatan kontekstual melalui multimedia interaktif lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada yang pembelajarannya dengan pendekatan kontekstual tanpa multimedia interaktif; (2) peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang pembelajarannya dengan pendekatan kontekstual melalui multimedia interaktif lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada yang pembelajarannya dengan pendekatan kontekstual tanpa multimedia interaktif; dan (3) tidak terdapat perbedaan motivasi belajar siswa yang pembelajarannya dengan pendekatan kontekstual melalui multimedia interaktif dan yang pembelajarannya dengan pendekatan kontekstual tanpa multimedia interaktif. Kata Kunci: Pendekatan Kontekstual, Multimedia Interaktif, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis, Motivasi Belajar ABSTRACT This research was motivated by the lack of mathematical problem solving ability of junior high school students. One of learning styles that can improve students’ mathematical problem solving ability is by doing it in contextual approach with interactive multimedia. The purposes of this research are: (1) to find out whether students who are taught using contextual approach with interactive multimedia achieve significantly higher mathematical problem solving ability than those who are taught using contextual approach without it; (2) to find out whether students who are taught using contextual approach with interactive multimedia improve their mathematical problem solving ability significantly higher than those who are taught using contextual approach without it; and (3) to find out whether students who are taught using contextual approach through interactive multimedia have significantly higher learning motivation than those who are taught by using contextual approach without interactive multimedia. Populations of the research are seven graders year 2016/2017 of Junior High School 1 Lembang, with sample VII D and VII E. Design of research that was used is Quasi Experimental Design in the form of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The instruments used were test on students' mathematical problem solving and questioner on students’ learning motivation. Processing and analysis of test data using Two Independent Sample t-Test, Mann Whitney test with IMB SPSS Statistic 22 for Windows, and Pearson test with Microsoft Excel 2007, and Method of Successive Interval (MSI) in Microsoft software Excel 2007. The results showed that: (1) the students who are taught using contextual approach through interactive multimedia has made significantly higher achievement in their mathematical problem solving ability than those who are taught using contextual approach without interactive multimedia; (2) the students who are taught using contextual approach through interactive multimedia has made significantly higher improvement in their mathematical problem solving ability than those who are taught using contextual approach without interactive multimedia; and (3) there was no difference in learning motivation of students who are taught using contextual approach through interactive multimedia and who are taught using contextual approach without interactive multimedia.     METAFORA DALAM TERJEMAHAN DOA SEHARI-HARI

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesamaaan antara tenor dan wahana pada metafora-metafora dalam terjemahan doa sehari-hari dan mendeskripsikan jenis metafora dalam terjemahan doa sehari-hari. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori Stephen Ullmann mengenai metafora. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Sumber data penelitian berupa dua buku yaitu buku Kumpulan Doa Sehari-hari oleh Kementerian Agama RI tahun 2013 dan buku Tuntunan Doa dan Zikir untuk Segala Situasi dan Kebutuhan oleh Ali Akbar. Data penelitian berupa satuan kalimat yang di dalamnya memiliki bentuk metafora. Metode penyediaan data yang digunakan adalah metode simak dengan teknik bebas libat cakap dan teknik catat. Untuk menentukan kesamaan antara tenor dan wahana, digunakan metode padan referensial, teknik dasar Pilah Unsur Penentu (PUP) dengan daya pilah referensial, teknik lanjutan hubung banding menyamakan hal pokok atau teknik HBSP, serta dengan bantuan metode analisis komponen makna. Untuk menentukan jenis metafora, digunakan metode padan referensial, teknik dasar Pilah Unsur Penentu (PUP) dengan daya pilah referensial, dan teknik lanjutan hubung banding menyamakan hal pokok atau teknik HBSP. Metode penyajian hasil analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penyajian informal dan formal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesamaan antara tenor dan wahana dalam terjemahan doa sehari-hari didominasi oleh kesamaan emotif, sedangkan jenis metafora dalam terjemahan doa sehari-hari didominasi oleh metafora dari konkret ke abstrak

    Efektivitas konten Instagram @kitabisacom terhadap minat Berdonasi di Surabaya

    Penelitian ini mempunyai dua rumusan masalah yang dikaji, yakni (1) Adakah efektivitas konten Instagram @kitabisacom terhadap minat berdonasi mahasiswa di Surabaya, (2) Seberapa besar tingkat efektivitas konten Instagram @kitabisacom terhadap minat berdonasi mahasiswa di Surabaya. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk menjelaskan efektivitas konten Instagram @kitabisacom terhadap minat berdonasi mahasiswa di Surabaya, serta seberapa jauh tingkat efektivitas tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelatif. Hasil pada penelitian ini menyatakan nilai rhitung > rtabel dengan signifikasi 5% terhadap 100 orang responden, dengan hasil perhitungan 0,813 > 0,195 maka hipotesis kerja (Ha) diterima dan hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak. Dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,813, maka korelasi antara Efektivitas Konten Instagram (X) dan Minat Berdonasi Mahasiswa (Y) bernilai positif dan memiliki tingkat hubungan yang sangat kuat. Diketahui nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,8132 = 0,6609. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan konten Instagram @kitabisacom memiliki pengaruh sebesar 66,09% terhadap minat berdonasi mahasiswa, dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain

    How interdisciplinary teamwork contributes to psychosocial cancer support

    Background: The organization of psychosocial care is rather complex, and its provision diverse. Access is affected by the acceptance and attitude of patients and professional caregivers toward psychosocial care. Objectives: The aims of this study were to examine when patients with cancer experience quality psychosocial care and to identify circumstances in collaboration that contribute to patient-perceived positive psychosocial care. Methods: This study used a qualitative design in which semistructured interviews were conducted with patients, hospital workers, and primary health professionals. Results: Psychosocial care is often requested but also refused by patients with cancer. Based on this discrepancy, a distinction is made between psychosocial support and psychosocial interventions. Psychosocial support aims to reduce the chaos in patients" lives caused by cancer and is not shunned by patients. Psychosocial interventions comprise the formal care offered in response to psychosocial problems. Numerous patients are reluctant to use psychosocial interventions, which are often provided by psychologists. Conclusion: Psychosocial care aims to assist patients in bearing the difficulties of cancer and its treatment. Patients prefer informal support, given often in conjunction with physical care. Implications for Practice: This study confirms the important role of nurses in promoting psychosocial care. Patients perceive much support from nurses, although nurses are not considered to be professional psychosocial caregivers. Being perceived as approachable and trustworthy offers nurses a significant opportunity to bring more intense psychosocial interventions within reach of cancer patients

    A psychological injury is a diagnosable illness that affects a person’s thinking, emotional state and behavior. It can disrupt their ability to work and carry out other daily activities, and to engage in satisfying personal relationships. Unlike a physical injury, a psychological injury cannot be easily recognized and understood. This research document is a conceptual work, which tries to define and isolate stress and stress related injuries, as well as psychological injuries at work. Such an understanding would help the top management to cater and prevent injuries of such extent. Based on literature, a model has been developed for the study and the research document has defined “Psychological injury as an employee’s explicit manifestation of distress in the form of affective behavioral and cognitive dysfunction in work context”. This research document can be considered a seminal work done in Indian context. This works gains importance in the light of increasing number of lawsuits in Indian courts on work- related stress and agony. India still does not have any laws that deal with emotional health and stress related injuries at work or psychological injuries as compared to other countries like Canada, U.K and the U.

    The number of college students using laptops is on the rise so is the musculoskeletal disorders reported. This research tries to understand whether university students in India have the same discomfort level as reported in prior studies. The study tries to evaluate the role of parameters like postural adaptation, time related parameters like duration of laptop usage, frequency of rest breaks and the predisposition of MSD among the students. And it is found that neck pain is the most common pain among Indian college students. And that MSD is caused by poor postural adaptation, time spent on the laptop as well as lack of proper ergonomic knowledge

    SUCKER RODS STRING DESIGN – RODS FATIGUE BEHAVIOR INTERPRETATION USING GOODMAN DIAGRAM

    During the standard pumping of an oil well, the sucker rods are subjective to alternative stress (tensile and compression). Certain steel grades have different behavior, taking into consideration their mechanical properties, like tensile strength. While most operators consider that, the higher the ultimate tensile strength (UTS) of a material is, it will behave better when subjected to loads. This paperwork shows that, comparing three different steel grades, they may have different results on the Goodman diagram, than expected. We are going to show that, even the steel grades have the same tensile strength (115 ksi), when calculating the %Goodman, the steel have different behavior, and this results from the manipulation of coefficients “A” and “b” involved in the formula, that each sucker rods manufacturer validates
