Evolutionary Concept, Genetic Algorithm and Exhibition Contract in Movie Industry
The paper is about application of evolutionary concept, particularly the application of natural selection process, to the study of movie industry. The importance of the application is that it allows for the heterogeneity and interdependency of market agents in analyzing the economic choice decision. This complexity always presents an obstacle to the study of market behavior, especially when one has to take into account the constant reinforcing effects among the variables, which often renders the problem elusive. The paper intends to explain the economic process, particularly the evolution of exhibition contract, taking into account this complexity through the use of evolutionary concept.Evolutionary selection; opportunity costs; learning and sharing rule
Testing antimatter gravity with muonium
The debate about how antimatter or different antimatter systems behave
gravitationally will be ultimately decided by experiments measuring directly
the acceleration of various antimatter probes in the gravitational field of the
Earth or perhaps redshift effects in antimatter atoms caused by the annual
variation of the Sun's gravitational potential at the location of the Earth.
Muonium atoms may be used to probe the gravitational interaction of leptonic,
second generation antimatter. We discuss the progress of our work towards
enabling such experiments with muonium.Comment: 8 pages, presented at the 2nd International Workshop on Antimatter

Clustering of Ionizing Sources
Using existing models for the evolution of clustering we show that the first
sources are likely to be highly biased and thus strongly clustered. We compute
intensity fluctuations for clustered sources in a uniform IGM. The strong
fluctuations imply the universe was reheated and reionized in a highly
inhomogeneous fashion.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures, to appear in the proceedings of "After the Dark

A novel model of learning in design
Learning in design is a phenomenon that has been observed in design practice by many researchers. The observation that designers learn is supported by protocol studies in design that experienced designers can reach satisfactory design solutions more effectively than novice/naive designers. That there was no comprehensive model or theory of learning in design to explain the phenomenon was identified by Sim. Hence a need was raised to develop a comprehensive model of learning in design that can describe the phenomenon and therefore serve as a basis to develop effective and efficient design support system(s)
