    Perceptions of Foreign Language Teachers for M-Learning

Nowadays, when the internet is becoming widespread, and mobile device technologies such as smartphones and tablets have been developing rapidly, it is possible to access educational content without being connected to a place. Today, almost everyone has smartphones. Many social networks, sites, applications are available. Many studies have shown that technology is effective in the field of education. For teachers with foreign language and their perceptions of learning through the help of technology are important. In this study, it is important to determine teachers' perception levels of mobile applications that contribute to foreign language learning. The ā€œmobile learning perception scaleā€ developed to access the research data. Items that are mentioned in the scale are basically positive question, "absolutely disagree", "disagree", "undecided", "agree", "strongly agree". After analysing the reliability of the survey, the overall result was found as Cronbach Ī± = 0,963. A total of 180 teachers attended from North Cyprus and Russian universities. According to the result of the research, the teachers' perception of mobile learning is high. But this rate is proportional to age. There is a difference in the findings regarding the use of mobile technology when looking at the professional seniority and age ranges. This is due to the fact that recently, technology-supported trainings have been increased and the addition of "material design courses" and "technology-supported trainings" at universities play an important role in increasing perceptions. The use of mobile technology can be increased by providing in-service trainings to teachers with high professional experience and ages

    Investigation of Mechanical Engineering Academiciansā€™ Use of Distance Education Technologies

    The aim of this study is to determine the use of distance education technologies, conditions of use and how often they use various computer applications, and also to investigate the use of these applications by academicians who teach in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. In the research carried out with the scanning model, there were 370 volunteers from various universities in Russia, consisting of academicians who teach in the field of mechanical engineering. The research was carried out in the spring term of 2020ā€“2021; before the research, a 6-week online training was given to mechanical engineer academicians. In the study, the ā€˜distance education technologiesā€™ measurement tool developed by the researchers and compiled by experts in the field was used. The measurement tool was delivered to the academicians via the online method and collected. The analysis of the data was carried out by using the SPSS programme, frequency analysis, t-test and ANOVA test, and the results were added to the research with tables. Accord-ing to the results obtained from the research, although the distance education technologies of the academicians who teach in the field of mechanical engineering are satisfactory, the rate of academicians never using new technologies in the teaching process is quite low and the rate of using them very often is quite high.     The topicality of the problem of the mediation services development in educational institutions of the Russian Federation is determined by the need for an alternative settlement of difficult situations between participants involved in a conflict situation in the educational process by a third, neutral party - a mediator. The mediator's responsibility is to carry out the professional, respectful, impartial process of the mediation procedure following the principles of this procedure and ensuring the safety of all the parties involved in the conflict. The purpose of this process is to develop an up-to-date and effective way of resolving the dispute on the basis of mutual respect and acceptance of the right of each of the parties to defend their interests. The paper presents the results of the study of the state and development of mediation services in educational institutions of the territorial entities of the Russian Federation. In addition, the results of the analysis of regulatory legal documents of the executive authorities in the territorial entities of the Russian Federation are presented. These documents are intended for the implementation of activities in the framework of providing organizational and methodological support for the development of mediation services in educational institutions of the territorial entities of the Russian Federation. Conclusions were formulated and practical recommendations were made on the basis of the results obtained that include the information on the mediation services development in educational institutions of the territorial entities of the Russian Federation

    STEM and STEAM Education in Russian Education: Conceptual Framework

    The paper examines the STEM approach as one of the revolutionary tools for transforming education. This paper discloses the content of the concept of ā€œSTEAM-educationā€, substantiates its importance and prerequisites for its appearance. The author elucidates a comparative analytical review of trends and prospects for the development of STEAM education in the Russian Federation. In this paper, the authors want to touch upon a comprehensive theoretical and methodological study conducted on the declared problem to identify the problem of the formation and development of the STEAM approach in the education system in the Russian Federation at all levels: general education, vocational education, and additional education. The object of this study was STEM education. The subject of this research was the STEM approach and STEM technologies in the system of general education, vocational education, and additional education. The methodological foundation of the study was the general scientific propositions on the holistic, systemic, and dialectical approaches to research, which made it possible to assess the totality of interrelated and interacting elements that form a certain integrity. The use of these approaches provided a comprehensive analysis and formulation of the research problem and determined the strategy for its study. The analysis of the current state of STEM and STEAM education in higher education in the Russian Federation suggests that it is necessary to stimulate the development of information and communication technologies in the country's education system in general, as well as to develop comprehensive programs for adapting STEM and STEAM approaches among the subjects of educational relations. In the context of modern global risks and challenges, the educational trajectory of development in Russia should be conceptually consistent with the new strategy in the field of natural science education adopted in the United States, ā€œThe Path to Success: American Strategy for STEM Educationā€. Experts believe that through the practical implementation of STEM and STEAM technologies, it is possible to improve the efficiency of the quality of training for the purposes of the modern digital economic sphere. In this regard, the primary competences obtained in the higher education system in the areas of STEM and STEAM training should be cognitive, personal, and interpersonal competences, expressed in digital literacy, computational thinking, creativity, open mind, soft skills, and others.     Psychophysiological and sport activity of the student youth as an indicator and determinant of health-preserving culture development

    The purpose of the study consisted in exploring specific features of the influence of social activity of student youth on the development of their health-promoting culture. In addition, the study was directed at searching for effective ways of encouraging and developing health-promoting culture among student youth by boosting activities in the sphere of student media. The subject of our study embraced the process of education and development of health-promoting culture among students through the inclusion of the media environment in the activity. Research methods comprised theoretical (analysis, classification, synthesis and generalization) and empirical ones (questionnaire "What is your creative potential"); "Communicative and organizational inclinations". On the basis of the results of the study, the authors of the paper specified and concretized the concepts of general culture and social activity of students through the implementation of creative activity in the media space. An additional education program for students has been designed and tested, the purpose of which is to increase social activity and the development of health-promoting culture in the youth milieu. The designed Program, in addition to the formation of competences in the field of social activity and the development of general culture, information support of events and coverage of the main news among students, is focused on developing students' professional skills of humanities courses who participate in the media space activities. The significance of the study from a practical point of view lies in the fact that its results can be used in the educational process to boost social activity and develop health-promoting culture of students of higher educational and vocational institutions. The novelty of the study is based on the fact that the designed Program of additional education for students of higher educational and vocational institutions is not only an educational program for mastering educational material but is a practical platform for the implementation of both educational and professional activities. The program comprises methods, technologies and resources that allow students to participate in various events and projects, to express themselves as a creative person, the ability to communicate with society, and organize events. The results of the program implementation raise the general socialization of students; determine the direction of their professional activity; and also provide a foundation for public life in the framework of press services of state bodies and public organizations
