The Effects of Minecraft Videogame On Creativity
The aim of this research is find out the effects of minecraft videogames on creativity. Eight undergraduates were assigned to experi-mental group and control group for recording of the brainwaves while playing minecraft video games and other videos. The results showed that the average of brain waves from different sub-bands for Minecraft games is higher than other games. The dominant of delta waves at Fp1 & Fp2 showed that the subjects are paying high attention and improved their decision-making levels. High T3 & T4 on Alpha( Minecraft's)wave indicates that it stimulates the brain to activate both parts of the brain. The results showed that Minecraft is able to increase high-level thinking. The core cognitive mechanism during playing minecraft video games was the attention network collec-tively referred as fronto-parietal attentional control network. This is indicated as sub-network known as executive control network, de-fault mode network and salient network in the previous research
Workers level of understanding on Islam as a way of life and the concepts of worship (‘IBADAT’) to Allah
This paper focuses on the study of higher learning institution workers (academician, professional and management group and supporting staff) levels of understanding about Islam as a way of life, the concepts of worship and their level of understanding on the attributes of work as worshiping (‘Ibadat’) Allah applies to their workplace. It is timely to study about this topic since not many study focuses on this important issue. Study on workers generally occurs in a more generic perspectives about their behavior and work place and work productivity. The study uses pragmatism research philosophy and in this study only quantitative data used which was collected through an online using google online questionaire tools of facilities. All muslim staff (1751) were invited to be involved in this study and around 179 useful questionnaires were used for further analyzed. It can be concluded that research findings show that the majority of respondents in this study admit or agree that Islam is a way of life. This means they are aware that the teachings and guidelines contained in Islam can be applied in their daily lives. Based on the findings of this study, clearly respondents have a positive perception of the concept of worship. They realize that worship is a major demand in their lives whether in the world or hereafter. They also realize that this concept of worship can be applied in all aspects of their life. They reject the worship only for things related to prayer, zakat and fasting only. The findings as a whole show that respondents follow all the principles set out to make their work in the category of worship to God. This is in line with the views given by Al-Qaradawy (2013) and the views of some other Islamic intellectuals. Implications and recommendations of the research findings were also discussed in this paper
TEACHERS’ SELF-EFFICACY IN HANDLING AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOUR AMONG KINDERGARTEN CHILDREN
Aggressive behaviour among kindergarten children is not something new in the world of education.
Whether they like it or not, kindergarten teachers have to accept the fact that it is part of their job to face
as well as to handle aggressive behaviour among children in kindergarten. Even though most of the inservice kindergarten teachers are trained, scant attention has been paid to their self-efficacy as well as
its sources in terms of handling aggressive children, especially in Malaysian setting. The objective of
this study was to identify the level and sources of kindergarten teachers’ self-efficacy in handling
aggressive behaviour among children in kindergarten. Using the simple random sampling technique,
responses to sense of self-efficacy and its sources of influence when handling aggressive behaviour
among children in kindergarten were sought from 768 in-service kindergarten teachers across Malaysia
via e-mail. Based on the finding of this study, Emotional Self-efficacy has the highest overall mean
followed by Cognitive Self-efficacy and Behavioural Self-efficacy. In terms of sources of influence on
kindergarten teachers self-efficacy, Mastery Experience contributed the highest effect followed by
Verbal Persuasion and considered as prominent predictors. Thus, it is suggested that in-house training
for in-service kindergarten teachers explicitly address these sources of self-efficacy. With better training
opportunity and continuous professional development for in-service kindergarten teachers regarding
their self-efficacy (Emotional, Cognitive, and Behavioural) in handling aggressive behaviour among
children in kindergarten, it will be a win-win situation for both the teachers as well as the children

The Impact Of Workload On Job Performance Among Doctors In The Public Sector
This research is focused on exploring the impact of workload on job performance among doctors in a public hospital. A qualitative approach was used and the method is used by the researcher is open-ended questionnaires. Purposive sampling was used in order to collect the data from informants. In this studied, four informants are doctors at the public hospital, Sarikei, Sarawak. Data analysis used by the researcher in this studied is content analysis. Based on the research findings, factors which contribute to the workload among doctors such as insufficient staff, the number of patients, inadequate equipment, inappropriate working hours and so on. In addition, the short term impact of workload on doctors’ performance can be positive and negative. But, the long term impact of workload on doctors’ performance more on negative impact such make a mistake, intention to leave organization, mental and physical health problem, decrease family relation and increasing divorce rates. This study also proposes related research implication and recommendation for further research
Dynamic student assessment to advocate personalized learning plan
A central challenge in education is to match instruction to the characteristics and learning styles of students in order to optimize learning. In this article, we intend to outline our approach to supporting personalized learning strategies by constructing dynamical student profiling using ubiquitous computing capability. This profiling includes recorded data on students' affective responses to learning to discern students' level of motivation and details from generic student profiles to describe and predict student learning patterns. Learning pattern data analysis derives conclusions using decision trees. Through this process, information can be extracted from students' affective responses and students' profile data and relevant correlations between the two data sets can be recognized automatically. A personalized learning component uses this information to offer proactive support to students. This is achieved by recommending personalized courses of action which are beneficial to students. Our proposed model has been tested in a classroom simulation. Issues of sample limitations and promising directions for future research are elaborated towards the end of this paper
The intensity of the research activities on e learning for care givers of autistic children
Autism, known as a spectrum disorder (ASD) is seen in early childhood or by three years of age. ASD is a neuro-developmental disorder characterized by deficits in social responsiveness, impairments in verbal and nonverbal communication. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the relevance of e-learning technology to the area of training the caregivers of autistic children. Our search focused on a number of data banks that contain numerous references to autism and home based treatment. Our results found only ten papers published since 2010 that met our criteria for inclusion. Six were demonstrations of e learning to teach caregivers and professionals the basics of applied behavior analysis and some techniques for skill training. The remainder of the studies fell into the telehealth category which involved direct communication between a professional and caregiver in the home. The studies suggest that home based service delivery is effective and offers both the social service system and parents considerable financial savings. The use of Web based platform (e learning and telehealth) is depicted as an aid to caregivers of autistic children. The need for more studies of the variables related to home based service delivery is noted
STAYING OFF-CAMPUS AMONG PUBLIC UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN MALAYSIA: CHALLENGES AND MOTIVATION
Due to the policy of some public universities in Malaysia, university students have no choice that they have to stay off-campus whether they like it or not. As human being it is normal that the students expected or maybe looking forward to have a comfort place to stay, convenience and safety. Somehow, they at the same time have to accept the fact that there are challenges waiting for them. The purposes
of this study were; (i) to explore what are the challenges faced by public universities students who are staying off-campus, and (ii) to determine what actually motivates them to continue their journey as university students despite all the challenges facing by them. An explanatory sequential mixed-method design was employed, which involved two phases of data collection: quantitative data and followed by
qualitative data. Using a simple random sampling technique, a total of 2578 (68% female) university students from four Malaysian public universities was surveyed by means of a self-reported questionnaire, of whom 80 students were also participated in an on-line and phone interviews. Based
on the findings, among the prevalence challenges staying off-campus were inconvenience of transportation, shortage of financial support, and high rental cost. It seems that, self-realization, self-determination, peer and family supports, and comfortable living environment were among prevalence factors that directly and indirectly motivated them to move on with their life as university students despite all the challenges faced by them. Majority of the students involved in this study were highly motivated
and maintained their academic performances.
