On finite analogues of Euler's constant
We introduce and study finite analogues of Euler's constant in the same
setting as finite multiple zeta values. We define a couple of candidate values
from the perspectives of a ``regularized value of '' and of
Mascheroni's and Kluyver--N\"orlund's series expressions of Euler's constant
using Gregory coefficients. Moreover, we reveal that the differences between
them always lie in the -vector space spanned by 1 and values of a
finite analogue of logarithm at positive integers.Comment: 14 page
Towards the Deep Riemann Hypothesis for
We explicate the deep Riemann hypothesis for the general linear group
on the convergence of normalised Euler products of standard
-functions on the critical line. It conditionally improves upon the error
term in the prime number theorem beyond what the grand Riemann hypothesis
predicts. Furthermore, we discuss the Chebyshev bias for Satake parameters on
from the perspective of the deep Riemann hypothesis.Comment: 17 page
Kampo, a Traditional Japanese Medicine, for the Body, Mind, and Soul
Traditional Japanese (Kampo) medicine is widely used to treat numerous conditions. Kampo medicine includes herbal formulas, acupuncture, moxibustion, and massage. After the Great East Japan Earthquake (GEJE), Kampo medicine was used to treat the imbalances in the body, mind, and soul in severely affected areas. The effects of the Kampo medicine saikokeishikankyoto (SKK) for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) have been proven in our clinical study. In this chapter, we have summarized both our reports from the Kampo medical clinics that were set up after the GEJE disaster and our findings of the clinical study on PTSD treatment in disaster survivors
Charged particle display
An optical shutter based on charged particles is presented. The output light
intensity of the proposed device has an intrinsic dependence on the
interparticle spacing between charged particles, which can be controlled by
varying voltages applied to the control electrodes. The interparticle spacing
between charged particles can be varied continuously and this opens up the
possibility of particle based displays with continuous grayscale.Comment: typographic errors corrected in Eqs (37) and (39); published in

Evolution of network structure by temporal learning
We study the effect of learning dynamics on network topology. A network of
discrete dynamical systems is considered for this purpose and the coupling
strengths are made to evolve according to a temporal learning rule that is
based on the paradigm of spike-time-dependent plasticity. This incorporates
necessary competition between different edges. The final network we obtain is
robust and has a broad degree distribution.Comment: revised manuscript in communicatio
In the case of the effect of "Shall we look on your character?" of Kan‒Dai 1 seminar
The purpose of this survey is to evaluate the educational effects of a delivery lecture on character analysis for high school students. People are now clamoring about the need for career counseling adapted to the times. The effect of the egogram carried out for high school students as part of career counseling was checked from their comment. Based on this consideration the importance of various types of career counseling for the young people is argued
Three-dimensional bulk band dispersion in polar BiTeI with giant Rashba-type spin splitting
In layered polar semiconductor BiTeI, giant Rashba-type spin-split band
dispersions show up due to the crystal structure asymmetry and the strong
spin-orbit interaction. Here we investigate the 3-dimensional (3D) bulk band
structures of BiTeI using the bulk-sensitive -dependent soft x-ray angle
resolved photoemission spectroscopy (SX-ARPES). The obtained band structure is
shown to be well reproducible by the first-principles calculations, with huge
spin splittings of meV at the conduction-band-minimum and
valence-band-maximum located in the plane. It provides the first
direct experimental evidence of the 3D Rashba-type spin splitting in a bulk
compound.Comment: 9 pages, 4 figure
