A research framework of crowdfunding platform usage
In this paper, we define the crowdfunding platform (CFP) a virtual place where project creators document their projects for gaining awareness or social support for making the project proceed. By doing so, project teams can voice the propositions they have worked on or they may also speak out on one partyβs behalf for seeking advices. This paper proposes a research framework that targets the issue of CFP in investigating usage behavior in the project teamsβ perspectives. It aims at filling the research gap as there is no clear link has been made in understanding how project teams keep up with the usage of CFP in terms of making progresses of proposed projects. In doing so, we believe the power of enormous crowds as project teams can be probably gathered and managed. Moreover, the administrations of CFP can be correctly directed for opening up opportunities for new start-ups
Convenient Tail Bounds for Sums of Random Tensors
This work prepares new probability bounds for sums of random, inde-pendent, Hermitian tensors. These probability bounds characterize large-deviation behavior of the extreme eigenvalue of the sums of random tensors. We extend Laplace transform method and Liebβs concavity theorem from matrices to tensors, and apply these tools to generalize the classical bounds associated with the names Chernoff, Ben-nett, and Bernstein from the scalar to the tensor setting. Tail bounds for the norm of a sum of random rectangular tensors are also derived from corollaries of random Hermitian tensors cases. The proof mechanism can also be applied to tensor-valued martingales and tensor-based Azuma, Hoeffding and McDiarmid inequalities are es-tablished
Expression of Green Fluorescence Protein (GFP) in Zebrafish Muscle through Injection: A Gene Therapy Model
Expression of the target gene is important for gene therapy. Presently, localized transgenesis is used for gene therapy which can be achieved by a target gene expression. Here, we have reported the plasmid mediated gene therapy to zebrafish model. For this purpose, we have chosen green fluorescent protein (GFP) as a target gene because the expression can be detected easily. GFP was inserted in a plasmid vector, pQE30 to develop the vector pQE30GFP. The plasmid pQE30GFP was constructed form plasmid, pQE30 and pEGFPC2. pQE30GFP injected directly in one group of fish into the muscle where luciferase expression was noted. In another group, after injection electroporation was performed where we have also noted luciferase expression; but, electroporation cause muscle injury to the zebrafish. In our case, the expression was very strong at the site of injection in first group in compare to electroporation group and in both the cases expression was stable more than two weeks
MOTIVATING KNOWLEDGE SHARING BEHAVIOR FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE CONVERTIBILITY OF ECONOMIC BENEFITS
Past research has extensively studied individuals knowledge-sharing behavior. Identifying the effective mechanisms that motivate individuals to share their valuable knowledge has become an important issue and a major challenge for researchers and practitioners. Past studies fail to consider the readiness of conversion of motivational mechanism to economic benefits of knowledge sharing on knowledge sharing behavior. This study develops a theoretical model of the convertibility of economic benefits that integrates the calculative-based mechanism (CBM) modified from organizational reward systems and the relational-based mechanism (RBM) founded on social interaction to explain knowledge sharing behavior. The research will be conducted by a field study in collaboration with a district hospital to secure the survey data. The objective of this study is to help answer the following research questions. 1. How does the CBM, which incorporates the construct of organizational reward systems, facilitate knowledge sharing behavior 2. How does the RBM, which incorporates the construct of deposits, withdrawals, and relationship account balance, facilitate knowledge sharing behavior 3. Against the benchmark of the CBM, does the addition of the RBM give a better explanation of individual knowledge sharing behavior Keywords: Knowledge sharing behavior, Calculative-based mechanism, Relational-based mechanism, Convertibility of economic benefits
