Filamentary superconductivity across the phase diagram of Ba(Fe,Co)As
We show magnetotransport results on Ba(FeCo)As () single crystals. We identify the low temperature resistance step
at 23 K in the parent compound with the onset of filamentary superconductivity
(FLSC), which is suppressed by an applied magnetic field in a similar manner to
the suppression of bulk superconductivity (SC) in doped samples. FLSC is found
to persist across the phase diagram until the long range antiferromagnetic
order is completely suppressed. A significant suppression of FLSC occurs for
, the doping concentration where bulk SC emerges. Based on these
results and the recent report of an electronic anisotropy maximum for 0.02
0.04 [Science 329, 824 (2010)], we speculate that, besides spin
fluctuations, orbital fluctuations may also play an important role in the
emergence of SC in iron-based superconductors.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figure
Measurement of decays to baryon pairs
A sample of 3.95M decays registered in the BES detector are used
to study final states containing pairs of octet and decuplet baryons. We report
branching fractions for , ,

are compared to expectations based on the SU(3)-flavor symmetry, factorization,
and perturbative QCD.Comment: 22 pages, 21 figures, 4 table
Measurements of the Cross Section for e+e- -> hadrons at Center-of-Mass Energies from 2 to 5 GeV
We report values of for 85 center-of-mass energies between
2 and 5 GeV measured with the upgraded Beijing Spectrometer at the Beijing
Electron-Positron Collider.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figure
Measurement of the Inclusive Charm Cross Section at 4.03 GeV and 4.14 GeV
The cross section for charmed meson production at and 4.14
GeV has been measured with the Beijing Spectrometer. The measurement was made
using 22.3 of data collected at 4.03 GeV and 1.5
of data collected at 4.14 GeV. Inclusive observed cross sections for
the production of charged and neutral D mesons and momentum spectra are
presented. Observed cross sections were radiatively corrected to obtain tree
level cross sections. Measurements of the total hadronic cross section are
obtained from the charmed meson cross section and an extrapolation of results
from below the charm threshold.Comment: 11 pages, 13 figures. The top level tex file is paper.tex. It builds

First Measurement of the Branching Fraction of the Decay psi(2S) --> tau tau
The branching fraction of the psi(2S) decay into tau pair has been measured
for the first time using the BES detector at the Beijing Electron-Positron
Collider. The result is ,
where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. This value,
along with those for the branching fractions into e+e- and mu+mu of this
resonance, satisfy well the relation predicted by the sequential lepton
hypothesis. Combining all these values with the leptonic width of the resonance
the total width of the psi(2S) is determined to be keV.Comment: 9 pages, 2 figure
The DArk Matter Particle Explorer mission
The DArk Matter Particle Explorer (DAMPE), one of the four scientific space
science missions within the framework of the Strategic Pioneer Program on Space
Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is a general purpose high energy
cosmic-ray and gamma-ray observatory, which was successfully launched on
December 17th, 2015 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The DAMPE
scientific objectives include the study of galactic cosmic rays up to
TeV and hundreds of TeV for electrons/gammas and nuclei respectively, and the
search for dark matter signatures in their spectra. In this paper we illustrate
the layout of the DAMPE instrument, and discuss the results of beam tests and
calibrations performed on ground. Finally we present the expected performance
in space and give an overview of the mission key scientific goals.Comment: 45 pages, including 29 figures and 6 tables. Published in Astropart.

Measurement of the Total Cross Section for Hadronic Production by e+e- Annihilation at Energies between 2.6-5 Gev
Using the upgraded Beijing Spectrometer (BESII), we have measured the total
cross section for annihilation into hadronic final states at
center-of-mass energies of 2.6, 3.2, 3.4, 3.55, 4.6 and 5.0 GeV. Values of ,
, are determined.Comment: Submitted to Phys. Rev. Let
Direct detection of a break in the teraelectronvolt cosmic-ray spectrum of electrons and positrons
High energy cosmic ray electrons plus positrons (CREs), which lose energy
quickly during their propagation, provide an ideal probe of Galactic
high-energy processes and may enable the observation of phenomena such as
dark-matter particle annihilation or decay. The CRE spectrum has been directly
measured up to TeV in previous balloon- or space-borne experiments,
and indirectly up to TeV by ground-based Cherenkov -ray
telescope arrays. Evidence for a spectral break in the TeV energy range has
been provided by indirect measurements of H.E.S.S., although the results were
qualified by sizeable systematic uncertainties. Here we report a direct
measurement of CREs in the energy range by the
DArk Matter Particle Explorer (DAMPE) with unprecedentedly high energy
resolution and low background. The majority of the spectrum can be properly
fitted by a smoothly broken power-law model rather than a single power-law
model. The direct detection of a spectral break at TeV confirms the
evidence found by H.E.S.S., clarifies the behavior of the CRE spectrum at
energies above 1 TeV and sheds light on the physical origin of the sub-TeV
CREs.Comment: 18 pages, 6 figures, Nature in press, doi:10.1038/nature2447
Study of the P-wave charmonium state \chi_{cJ} in \psi(2S) decays

measurement of the branching fraction , where the first error is statistical and the
second one systematic. Branching fractions of and

Measurement of \psip Radiative Decays
Using 14 million psi(2S) events accumulated at the BESII detector, we report
first measurements of branching fractions or upper limits for psi(2S) decays
into gamma ppbar, gamma 2(pi^+pi^-), gamma K_s K^-pi^++c.c., gamma K^+ K^-
pi^+pi^-, gamma K^{*0} K^- pi^+ +c.c., gamma K^{*0}\bar K^{*0}, gamma pi^+pi^-
p pbar, gamma 2(K^+K^-), gamma 3(pi^+pi^-), and gamma 2(pi^+pi^-)K^+K^- with
the invariant mass of hadrons below 2.9GeV/c^2. We also report branching
fractions of psi(2S) decays into 2(pi^+pi^-) pi^0, omega pi^+pi^-, omega
f_2(1270), b_1^\pm pi^\mp, and pi^0 2(pi^+pi^-) K^+K^-.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figure
