Combined explanations of BB-physics anomalies, (g−2)e,μ(g-2)_{e, \mu} and neutrino masses by scalar leptoquarks

We extend the contents of the standard model (SM) by introducing TeV-scale scalar leptoquarks to generate neutrino masses and explain some current observed deviations from the SM predictions, including the anomalous magnetic moments of charged leptons (electron and muon) and BB-physics anomalies (RK(∗)R_{K^{(*)}} and RD(∗)R_{D^{(*)}}). The model consists of SU(2)L\text{SU}(2)_L singlet leptoquark S1∼(3ˉ,1,1/3)S_1\sim (\bar{3}, 1, 1/3), doublet leptoquark R~2∼(3,2,1/6)\tilde{R}_2\sim (3, 2, 1/6) and triplet leptoquark S3∼(3ˉ,3,1/3)S_3\sim (\bar{3}, 3, 1/3). We combine the constraints arising from the low-energy lepton flavor violation, meson decay and mixing observables. We perform a detailed phenomenological analysis and identify the minimized texture of leptoquark Yukawa matrices to accommodate a unified explanation of the anomalies and neutrino oscillation data.Comment: 30 pages, 5 figures, matches published versio

Experimental study on critical heat flux characteristics of R134a flow boiling in horizontal helically-coiled tubes

Critical heat flux (CHF) experiments were performed to study the R134a CHF characteristics in horizontal helically-coiled tubes. The stainless steel test sections were heated uniformly, with tube inner diameters of 3.8e11 mm, coil diameters of 135e370 mm, helical pitches of 40e105 mm and heated lengths of 0.85e7.54 m. The experimental conditions are pressures of 0.30e1.10 MPa, mass fluxes of 60e480 kg m 2 s 1, inlet qualities of 0.32e0.36 and heat fluxes of 6.0 103e9.0 104Wm 2. It was found that the wall temperatures jumped abruptly once the CHF occurred. The CHF values decrease with increasing heated lengths, coil diameters and inner diameters, but the DNB (departure from nucleate boiling) CHF seems independent when length-to-diameter L/di> 200. The coil-to-diameter ratios are more important than length-to-diameter ratios for CHF in helically-coiled tubes, while the helical pitches have little effect on CHF. The CHF value increases greatly with increasing mass flux and decreases smoothly with increasing pressure. It decreases nearly linearly with increasing inlet and critical qualities, but it varies more acutely at xcr< 0.5 than higher critical qualities. New correlations for R134a flow boiling CHF in horizontal helically-coiled tubes were developed for applications

Competition and Integration Strategy Analysis of Advertisement-Supported Social Networked Related Services

Social networking related services (SNS) become increasingly popular communication and interaction mediums over internet. As most of the SNS are free, the providers generate revenues from advertising and other extension services. This paper investigates the advertising strategy and the strategic of compatibility and co-opetition between two social networking related services.. Utilizing game theoretic model, we show that the providers will benefit from both service and business integration, however, the users are always worse when SNS services are compatibly connected. The users will always gain from the quality (features) competition, however, brand competition may hurt the customers as more disturbing ads will be exerted. In general, business integration will result in a higher diversity if ads exerted in two IM services
