Preliminary checklist of macromycetes of the East and Middle Black Sea regions of Turkey. Mycotaxon 99: 71–74
Abstract -This study was based on macromycete specimens collected from the East and Middle Black Sea Regions of Turkey in [2002][2003][2004][2005]. As a result of field and laboratory studies, 213 taxa were identified and classified. The complete checklist is available on: http://www.mycotaxon.com/resources/ weblists.html
Evaluation of trace metal contents of some wild edible mushrooms from Black sea region, Turkey
Fructification organs of Calvatia excipuliformis, Lycoperdon perlatum, Laccaria amethystea, Armillaria mellea, Marosmius oreades, Xerula radicata, Cantharellus cibarius, Craterellus cornucopioides, Cantharellus tubaeformis, Hypholoma fasciculare, Clitocybe gibba, Collybia dryophila, Lepista nuda and Mycena aetites were collected from different localities in Black sea region of Turkey. Their trace metals concentrations were determined by atomic absorption spectrometry after wet and microwave digestion. The results were (as mg/kg) 150-1741 for iron, 15.5-73.8 for copper, 28.6-145 for manganese, 43.5-205 for zinc, 4.8-42.7 for aluminium and 0.9-2.6 for lead. The levels of lead analyzed in some edible mushroom samples were found to be higher than legal limits. The relative standard deviations (R.S.D.) were found below 10%. The accuracy of procedure was confirmed by certified reference material. (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved
Trace element levels of mushroom species from East Black Sea region of Turkey
The levels of trace metals of mushroom samples collected from East Black Sea region of Turkey were determined by flame and graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry after microwave digestion method. The accuracy of the method was corrected by standard reference material (NIST SRM 1573a Tomato Leaves). The contents of investigated trace metals in mushroom samples were found to be in the range of 18.9-64.8 mu g/g for copper, 53.5-130 mu g/g for manganese, 44.7-198 mu g/g for zinc, 187-985 mu g/g for iron, 0.54-10.8 mu g/g for selenium and 0.9-2.5 mu g/g for cadmium. Mushrooms species in the highest levels of trace elements were found Entoloma sinuatum for Cu and Zn, Leucoagaricus leucothites for Mn, Amanita pantherina for Fe and Se, Agaricus arvensis for Cd. Clitolyophyllum akcaabatense gen. nov., sp. nov. (Agaricales, Tricholomatineae), a new fan shaped clitocyboid agaric from Turkey
Clitolyophyllum akcaabatense gen. nov., sp. nov. is described based on both morphological and molecular data from Akcaabat, Trabzon, Turkey. Its characterizing features are a fan shaped pileus, an eccentric and fibrillose stipe, 2-4 spored basidia, smooth, ellipsoid and inamyloid white basidiospores, and growth on the bark of Picea orientalis. Phylogeny based on multigene molecular analysis (nrITS, nrLSU, rpb2 datasets) of the Tricholomatoid clade is provided. Colour photographs of fresh basidiomata and of the main micromorphological features are includedThe accepted manuscript in pdf format is listed with the files at the bottom of this page. The presentation of the authors' names and (or) special characters in the title of the manuscript may differ slightly between what is listed on this page and what is listed in the pdf file of the accepted manuscript; that in the pdf file of the accepted manuscript is what was submitted by the author
Fungal systematics and evolution : FUSE 7
In this 7th contribution to the Fungal Systematics and Evolution series published by Sydowia, the authors formally describe 14 species: Cantharomyces paschalis, Cryptandromyces pinguis, C. tricornis, Laboulbenia amblystomi (Laboulbeniales); Cortinarius squamosus, Entoloma brunneicoeruleum, E. callipygmaeum, E. minutigranulosum, E. perasprellum, E. pulchripes, E. tigrinum, E. timidum, E. violaceoserrulatum (Agaricales); and Suillus quercinus (Boletales). The following new country records are reported: Crepidotus malachioides from Italy, Leucoagaricus mucrocystis from French Guiana, Pluteus multiformis from Turkey (Agaricales); Herpomyces periplanetae from Benin, the D.R. Congo, and Togo (Herpomycetales); Melanustilospora ari from Pakistan (Urocystidales); Neopestalotiopsis clavispora causing fruit rot on Zizyphus mauritiana from India (Amphisphaeriales); and Phytopythium chamaehyphon and Pp. litorale from Brazil (Peronosporales). Finally, a new combination is proposed based on morphology, ecology, and phylogenetic analysis: Rhodocollybia asema (Agaricales)
