On the loss of continuity for super-critical drift-diffusion equations
We show that there exist solutions of drift-diffusion equations in two
dimensions with divergence-free super-critical drifts, that become
discontinuous in finite time. We consider classical as well as fractional
diffusion. However, in the case of classical diffusion and time-independent
drifts we prove that solutions satisfy a modulus of continuity depending only
on the local norm of the drift, which is a super-critical quantity.Comment: Minor edit
Blow-up of critical Besov norms at a potential Navier-Stokes singularity
We show that the spatial norm of any strong Navier-Stokes solution in the space X must become unbounded near a singularity, where X may be any critical homogeneous Besov space in which local existence of strong solutions to the 3-d Navier-Stokes system is known. In particular, the regularity of these spaces can be arbitrarily close to -1, which is the lowest regularity of any Navier-Stokes critical space. This extends a well-known result of Escauriaza-Seregin-Sverak (2003) concerning the Lebesgue space , a critical space with regularity 0 which is continuously embedded into the spaces we consider. We follow the "critical element" reductio ad absurdum method of Kenig-Merle based on profile decompositions, but due to the low regularity of the spaces considered we rely on an iterative algorithm to improve low-regularity bounds on solutions to bounds on a part of the solution in spaces with positive regularity

In this paper, we present nomenclatural novelties required in the course of the preparation of the second, revised version of the checklist of vascular plants of Asian Russia. The first version was published in 2012 (Baikov 2012). At the family level, we accepted the modern classification systems (APG IV for flowering plants, PPG I for lycophytes and ferns, and GPG for gymnosperms). At the genus level, we follow the generic concepts applied for particular taxonomic groups according to the Catalogue of Life (COL; https://www.catalogueoflife.org/), version COL23.5. At the species level, we consistently apply the monotypic species concept (also known in Russia as Komarov’s concept). In total, this paper presents one new nothogenus name (× Sibirotrisetokoeleria Chepinoga nom. nov., Poaceae) and 156 new names in the rank of species, in 28 families: Amaranthaceae Juss. (1 name), Amaryllidaceae J. St.-Hil. (1), Apiaceae Lindl. (2), Asteraceae Bercht. & J.Presl (12), Boraginaceae Juss. (4), Caryophyllaceae Juss. (11), Crassulaceae J. St.-Hill. (3), Cyperaceae Juss.
