Next-to-leading order corrections to Bhabha scattering in renormalization group approach (I). Soft and virtual photonic contributions

Soft and virtual loop photonic contributions to the second order next-to-leading QED radiative corrections to Bhabha scattering are calculated with help of the renormalization group approach. The results are in agreement with earlier calculations, where other methods were used. Scale dependence and the present theoretical accuracy of Bhabha cross section description are discussed.Comment: 12 pages, 10 Figures, elsart.cl

The effect of distortion of information as a socio-psychological factor of reducing the quality of labor interaction under isolation

The relevance of the problem under study is due to the problems that arise in the conditions of remote forms of labor interaction, as well as the role of the manager in creating an effective communication environment. The purpose of the article is to present the results of a study of the effect of information distortion in labor interaction in isolation, statistical and qualitative analysis of the results. The data obtained allow us to say that in the conditions of remote forms of labor interaction, the lack of direct contact leads to the difficulty of understanding the transmitted information, a decrease in job satisfaction, remission of the levels of well-being, activity and mood, which disrupts the quality of labor communication. The study showed that the subjective assessment of the effectiveness of leadership has a great impact on the state of the participants in the labor interaction. To ensure effective interaction of employees, it is necessary to introduce the rules of remote communication: unified, standardized requirements for communication in remote mode that meet the specifics of a particular enterprise; exclusion from communication of all manifestations of negative emotions; use of all range of available means of communication; emotional leadership of the leader

DNA polymerases ζ and Rev1 mediate error-prone bypass of non-B DNA structures

DNA polymerase ζ (Pol ζ) and Rev1 are key players in translesion DNA synthesis. The error-prone Pol ζ can also participate in replication of undamaged DNA when the normal replisome is impaired. Here we define the nature of the replication disturbances that trigger the recruitment of error-prone polymerases in the absence of DNA damage and describe the specific roles of Rev1 and Pol ζ in handling these disturbances. We show that Pol ζ/Rev1-dependent mutations occur at sites of replication stalling at short repeated sequences capable of forming hairpin structures. The Rev1 deoxycytidyl transferase can take over the stalled replicative polymerase and incorporate an additional ‘C’ at the hairpin base. Full hairpin bypass often involves template-switching DNA synthesis, subsequent realignment generating multiply mismatched primer termini and extension of these termini by Pol ζ. The postreplicative pathway dependent on polyubiquitylation of proliferating cell nuclear antigen provides a backup mechanism for accurate bypass of these sequences that is primarily used when the Pol ζ/Rev1-dependent pathway is inactive. The results emphasize the pivotal role of noncanonical DNA structures in mutagenesis and reveal the long-sought-after mechanism of complex mutations that represent a unique signature of Pol ζ

Methods of transmission electronic microscopy, electron diffraction, energy dispersive X-ray microanalysis have been used for investigations of element composition, regularities in structural and phase transmissions occurring in thin-filmed systems Si–Fe–Si and TiN–Ti–Si while using impulse photon annealing in terms of radiation energy density. Optimum parameters of impulse photon annealing for formation of β-FeSi2 and C54-TiSi2 thin films on silicon have been determined in the paper.

The problem of estimation of students’ professional competence level in “Physical education” is a difficult task to solve. The RWD complex corresponds the demands of the modern pedagogical evaluation and is the universal means of formation of quantitative evaluation of competencies. Analysis of the results shown by students in certain types of tests indicates a relatively weak preparedness for passing the standards of the RWD complex. To create the most favorable conditions for the formation of competence in the discipline “Physical education”  during the development of the educational program it is necessary to include types of the RWD complex among credit requirements and evaluate them in accordance with the score-rating system.

Infectious bursal disease virus: identification of the novel genetic group and reassortant viruses

The results of the phylogenic analysis of the nucleotide sequence of the IBDV A and B genome segments have been presented. Traditionally the IBDV isolates are classified based on the phylogenic analysis of the hypervariable region of the VP2 gene. The analysis of the VP2 gene segments of the isolates detected in the Russian Federation demonstrated that most of them belong to the genetic group comprising highly virulent IBDV isolates. However, not all isolates belonging to one genetic group have the same phenotypic characteristics. This is related to the fact that the virulence is determined not only based on the characteristics of the VP2 gene (A segment) but on the characteristics of the VP1 gene (B segment) as well. The IBDV genome segmentation allows formation of reassortant viruses which can be identified as a result of the genome segment analysis. The phylogenic analysis of the nucleotide sequences of VP2 and VP1 genes of 28 IBDV isolates detected at RF, Ukrainian and Kazakh poultry establishments in 2007 and 2019 showed that 15 of them are reassortant viruses. Different combinations of the genome segments have been identified among these reassortant viruses. Detection of different combinations of IBDV genome segments is indicative of the fact that the heterogeneous virus population circulates on the poultry farms. Pathogenicity studies of the three IBDV isolates showed that the most virulent was an isolate having two genome segments characteristic of the highly virulent virus. Two reassortant viruses having only one genome segment A or B, characteristic of the infectious bursal disease, demonstrated less pronounced virulent properties
