    Strange Tribaryons as Nona-quark States

Strange tribaryons as nona-quark (9 quark) states is studied to describe the S=-1 resonance S^0(3115) recently discovered in the reaction K- + ^4 He -> S^0 + p. We have identified S^0(3115) as a member of the flavor 27-plet, in particular, (F_{flavor},I_{isospin},J_{spin})=(27,1,1/2) or (27,1,3/2). The color-magnetic interaction between quarks favors small multiplets in flavor and spin, which leads to a natural explanation that I=1 is the lowest state among the S=-1 tribaryons with J=1/2. Classification of the S^+ -state recently reported as well as possible locations of other light strange tribaryons such as (10*,0,3/2) with S=-1, (8,1/2,1/2) with S=-2 and (1,0,3/2) with S=-3 are also discussed.Comment: 10 pages, 3 figure

    “Transmantle sign”を示す限局性皮質異形成における神経細胞の成熟と分化の未熟性:層特異的マーカー発現による解析

Transmantle dysplasia is a rare type of focal cortical dysplasia (FCD) characterized by expansion of the cortex from the deep white matter to the surface and in which there is a FCD IIA or IIB pathologic pattern. To characterize possible mechanisms underlying this regional disorder of radial migrating cells, we studied the expression patterns of neocortical layer-specific markers using immunohistochemistry in surgical specimens from 5 FCD IIA and 4 FCD IIB cases in children. All neuronal cells expressed the mature neuron marker MAP2/2B but not the microglia markers Iba-1 and CD68. Some layer-specific markers showed distinct expression patterns. TBR1-positive, SATB2-positive, and FOXP1-positive cells were diffusely distributed in the cortex and/or the white matter. TBR1-positive and FOXP1-positive cells were generally more numerous in FCD IIB than in FCD IIA and were mostly in the cortical molecular and upper layers. FOXP1-, FOXP2-, and CUTL1-positive cells also expressed the immature neuron marker, Nestin/PROX1, whereas TBR1-, CTIP2-, and SATB2-positive cells only expressed MAP2/2B. These data highlight differences between FCD IIB and FCD IIA with more cells having the immature marker in upper layer markers in the former. By analyzing layer-specific marker expression patterns, we identified apparent neuronal maturation differences between FCD IIA and FCD IIB in cases of transmantle dysplasia.博士(医学)・乙第1312号・平成25年5月29

    RAW 264.7細胞におけるLPSで誘導される誘導型NO合成酵素の発現に対するCaffeic Acid Undecyl Esterの阻害について

We synthesized caffeic acid undecyl ester (CAUE),and found that it exhibited strong inhibitory effect of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) -induced nitric oxide (NO) production in murine macrophage-like RAW 264.7 cells. We examined the effect of CAUE on the expression inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells.Western blot analysis performed with specific anti-iNOS antibody showed that a decrease in NO was accompanied by a decrease in the level of iNOS protein with dose-dependent manner (CAUE:0.1~1.0μM).To clarify the mechanistic basis for CAUE\u27s ability to inhibit the induction of iNOS,we examined the effect of CAUE on nuclear factor (NF)-κB,Inhibitor-κB (IκB) degradation and phosphorylation of extracellular-signaling regulated Kinases,ERK 1/2.CAUE potently suppressed the transcriptional activity of NF-κB,IκB degradation and activation of ERK.Since NF-κB was activated by following IκBα degradation, the recovery of IκBα protein indicating that CAUE inhibited the activation of degradation following NF-κB.These finding suggest that CAUE has the inhibitory effect on LPS-induced NO production and expression of iNOS in macrophage by the inhibition of IκB degradation and NF-κB activation, which may be mediated through blockage in the phospholylation ERK

Hydration structure of trimethylamine N-oxide in aqueous solutions revealed by soft X-ray emission spectroscopy and chemometric analysis

The hydration structure of trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO) in aqueous solutions has been investigated by means of soft X-ray spectroscopy and chemometric analysis. Soft X-ray absorption spectra in the O 1s region have a concentration-dependent shoulder at 533 eV, which is assigned to the 6a1 resonance of TMAO. Soft X-ray emission spectra acquired at this resonance comprise both TMAO and water components, with a prominent peak at 525.6 eV which is assigned to the emission caused by the 5e to O 1s transition. An apparent inverse concentration dependence of around 523 eV suggests that the electronic structure of water is modified by the strong interaction with TMAO. Such an effect has been included in the quantitative spectral analysis, called the classical least squares regression method, to obtain information on the hydration structure of the system. The analysis indicates that nine or more water molecules interact with a TMAO molecule. The present method offers a useful technique for probing the solvation structure around the solute which interacts strongly with the solvent
