This study aims to analyze the results of worksheet-based validity Toulmin’s Argumentation Pattern (TAP) to improve critical thinking skills on alternative energy materials. The method used in this study is the R&D method with the ADDIE development model. In this study there are three stages used, namely the analysis stage (analyze) namely determining the needs of students regarding alternative energy material worksheets, the design stage (design) namely planning the developed worksheet, and the development stage (development) namely preparing worksheets and conducting validation. The validity of worksheets is assessed using a Likert scale. The aspects assessed in the validity of the worksheet are the didactic, constructive and technical aspects. The analysis technique was carried out by calculating the results of the validity of the worksheets from 3 validators consisting of 2 expert lecturers and 1 high school teacher. The advantages of this worksheet are that it uses the PBL learning model, based on TAP, contains authentic problems, and trains indicators of critical thinking. The drawback is that worksheets are not yet digital based. The main advice from the validator is to pay attention to critical thinking indicators and the TAP components used. The results showed that the average validity value of the three validators on the didactic aspect was 94.2% with very valid criteria, on the constructive aspect a value of 100% was obtained with very valid criteria, and the technical aspect obtained a value of 91.7% with the criteria very valid. Based on these results it can be seen that the average value of the validity of the worksheet as a whole is 95.3% with very valid criteria. So, it can be concluded that the worksheet is based on Toulmin’s Argumentation Pattern (TAP) to improve critical thinking skills on alternative energy materials suitable for use in the learning process.

This study aimed to find research trend online discussion to improve argumentation skills in education especially physics education. The method used in this research is bibliometric analysis by using VOSviewer. The data used is the Scopus database in the last 10 years. The research findings found that there are 1,447 documents that meet the predetermined criteria. The number of online discussion research increases gradually over the research period 2012-2021. The two highest sources of documents came from journals and conference proceedings and a higher percentage of citations were carried out on scientific journal. There are five trend research clusters on online discussion (4 main clusters and 1 secondary). The first cluster focuses on online discussion methods, the second cluster focuses on online discussion model, the third cluster focuses on the application of online discussions, the fourth cluster focuses on media used in online discussions, the fifth secondary cluster focuses on the goals of online discussion. The “argumentation” keyword is not included in the top 10 keywords, this shows that online discussion research has just little linked to argumentation as an indicator of the quality of online discussion. This condition creates an opportunity for further research related to online discussion in improving argumentation skills

This proceeding contains articles on the various ideas of the academic community presented at The 3rd International Conference on Community Engagement and Education for Sustainable Development (ICCEESD 2022) organized by the Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia on 7th-8th December 2022.  ICCEESD is a biannual forum for sharing, benchmarking, and discussing HEI’s activities in developing Education for Sustainable Development towards community engagement. Education for Sustainability as a teaching strategy for resolving community challenges through formal, informal, or non-formal education is expected to benefit from various community service best practices by academics, researchers, and students. The 3rd ICCEESD has “Strengthening Education for Sustainability Towards Better Community Engagement” as its theme this year. It is expected that the 3rd ICCEESD will provide a forum for the presenters and participants to exchange best practices, policies, and conceptual implementation of Education for Sustainability towards better community engagement and explore ideas to address community needs.  Conference Title: 3rd International Conference on Community Engagement and Education for Sustainable DevelopmentConference Theme: Strengthening Education for Sustainability Towards Better Community EngagementConference Acronyms: ICCEESD 2022Conference Date: 7th-8th December 2022Conference Location: Grand Rohan Jogja Yogyakarta, IndonesiaConference Organizer: Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesi
