A atuação da enfermagem na assistência aos pacientes portadores de HIV-AIDS: Revisão de literatura

O Vírus da Imunodeficiência Humana (HIV) é altamente infeccioso, não possui cura, mas possui tratamento com grande eficácia e de forma gratuita pelo Sistema Único de Saúde, portanto, torna-se necessário diagnóstico e tratamento precoce para que não haja a manifestação da Síndrome da Imunodeficiência Adquirida (AIDS). Destaca-se a importância do profissional enfermeiro em todas as etapas do processo de descoberta da doença, até posteriormente a oferta de tratamento. Objetivo: Abordar a importância da atuação da equipe de enfermagem frente a assistência de pacientes que convivem com HIV-AIDS. Métodos: Revisão integrativa de literatura. O levantamento     foi realizado no mês de outubro a dezembro de 2022, por meio da Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde identificando-se 23 artigos, de 2002-2022, que após leitura abordou com qualidade a atuação da equipe de enfermagem e multiprofissional durante o acolhimento, aconselhamento e cuidados com os pacientes diagnósticados e conviventes com HIV-AIDS, além de conceitos, sinais e sintomas e informar os direitos humanos desses indivíduos. Resultados/Discussão: Por conseguinte, resultou-se através das pesquisas bibliográficas que os profissionais de enfermagem e toda a equipe envolvida no processo são primordiais na prestação de cuidados e assistência as pessoas com HIV-AIDS e que essas pessoas possuem direitos que são assegurados por lei para que não ocorra discriminação e exclusão social, sendo a temática abordada de suma importância. Conclusão: Conclui-se que o HIV-AIDS são extremamente letais quando não diagnosticadas e tratadas precocemente, sendo necessária a abordagem correta do profissional enfermeiro, para que o acolhimento e o aconselhamento seja eficaz, tornando-se efetivo o contato entre profissional e cliente.&nbsp

Taking the pulse of Earth's tropical forests using networks of highly distributed plots

Tropical forests are the most diverse and productive ecosystems on Earth. While better understanding of these forests is critical for our collective future, until quite recently efforts to measure and monitor them have been largely disconnected. Networking is essential to discover the answers to questions that transcend borders and the horizons of funding agencies. Here we show how a global community is responding to the challenges of tropical ecosystem research with diverse teams measuring forests tree-by-tree in thousands of long-term plots. We review the major scientific discoveries of this work and show how this process is changing tropical forest science. Our core approach involves linking long-term grassroots initiatives with standardized protocols and data management to generate robust scaled-up results. By connecting tropical researchers and elevating their status, our Social Research Network model recognises the key role of the data originator in scientific discovery. Conceived in 1999 with RAINFOR (South America), our permanent plot networks have been adapted to Africa (AfriTRON) and Southeast Asia (T-FORCES) and widely emulated worldwide. Now these multiple initiatives are integrated via ForestPlots.net cyber-infrastructure, linking colleagues from 54 countries across 24 plot networks. Collectively these are transforming understanding of tropical forests and their biospheric role. Together we have discovered how, where and why forest carbon and biodiversity are responding to climate change, and how they feedback on it. This long-term pan-tropical collaboration has revealed a large long-term carbon sink and its trends, as well as making clear which drivers are most important, which forest processes are affected, where they are changing, what the lags are, and the likely future responses of tropical forests as the climate continues to change. By leveraging a remarkably old technology, plot networks are sparking a very modern revolution in tropical forest science. Surgical treatment of partial atrioventricular septal defect: functional analysis of the mitral valve in the postoperative period

OBJECTIVE: To study mitral valve function in the postoperative period after correction of the partial form of atrioventricular septal defect. METHODS: Fifty patients underwent surgical correction of the partial form of atrioventricular septal defect. Their mean age was 11.8 years and 62% of the patients were males. Preoperative echocardiography showed moderate and severe mitral insufficiency in 44% of the patients. The mitral valve cleft was sutured in 45 (90%) patients (group II - GII). Echocardiographies were performed in the early postoperative period, and 6 and 12 months after hospital discharge. RESULTS: The patients who had some type of arrhythmia in the postoperative period had ostium primum atrial septal defect of a larger size (2.74 x 2.08 cm). All 5 patients in group I (GI), who did not undergo closure of the cleft, had a competent mitral valve or mild mitral insufficiency in the preoperative period. One of these patients began to have moderate mitral insufficiency in the postoperative period. On the other hand, in GII, 88.8% and 82.2% of the patients had competent mitral valve or mild mitral insufficiency in the early and late postoperative periods, respectively. CONCLUSION: The mitral valve cleft was repaired in 90% of cases. Echocardiography revealed competent mitral valve or mild mitral insufficiency in 88.8% and 82.2% of GII patients in the early and late postoperative periods, respectively

Escola Politécnica: possivelmente o primeiro curso formal de contabilidade do estado de São Paulo

Este trabalho demonstra que, diferentemente do que se tem tanto falado, a primeira instituição formal de ensino contábil do Estado de São Paulo foi a Escola Politécnica, fundada em 1894, que ministrava no Curso Preliminar, equivalente ao primeiro ano do curso de engenharia, aulas de Escrituração Mercantil, conferindo aos alunos que fossem aprovados nas disciplinas que integravam esse primeiro módulo, o diploma de Contador. Em 08.12.1900, o Decreto Federal no 727 reconhecia oficialmente os diplomas expedidos pela instituição, desde a sua fundação, independentemente do exercício da profissão. A Fundação Escola de Comércio Álvares Penteado, fundada em 1902, foi a segunda instituição voltada ao ensino contábil nesse Estado. Considerando-se um hiato de oito anos entre a fundação de ambas as instituições, não restam dúvidas de que a Escola Politécnica é a primeira instituição formal de ensino contábil do Estado de São Paulo. Não obstante, um nome surge ligado exponencialmente às duas instituições: Horácio Berlinck.This study demonstrates that, as opposed to what is commonly told, the first accounting teaching institution in São Paulo state was the Polytechnic School, which was founded in 1894 and offered, as part of its Preliminary Course, equivalent to the first year of the engineering course, Mercantile bookkeeping classes, granting to students who graduated in the subjects of this first module the degree of Accountant. On 12/08/1900, Federal Decree no 727 officially recognized the degrees issued by the institutions since the time of its foundation, independently from whether the profession was exercised. The Álvares Penteado School of Commerce Foundation, which was founded in 1902, was the second institution oriented towards accounting teaching in that State. In view of an eight-year gap between the founding of the two institutions, it is beyond doubt that the Polytechnic School is the first accounting teaching institution in São Paulo State. A eficácia informativa da demonstração do valor adicionado

O cenário mundial contemporâneo vem sendo caracterizado por significativas mudanças nas áreas social, política e econômica, com reflexos diretos no ambiente empresarial, através da imposição de novos padrões de competitividade e uma necessidade de alterações nos processos de trabalho e nas práticas de gestão. Neste contexto, a informação contábil tradicional não responde totalmente às demandas novas dos usuários com interesses diferentes daqueles contemplados nos relatórios contábeis clássicos. A Demonstração do Valor Adicionado é parte integrante deste novo grupo de relatórios desenvolvidos pela contabilidade para assistir melhor essas necessidades emergentes, visando, principalmente, a evidenciar o papel social das empresas, apresentando claramente a riqueza gerada, para que toda a sociedade conheça sua função positiva na criação de valor para a comunidade. Este trabalho apresenta aspectos relacionados ao valor adicionado pela atividade empresarial e analisa a importância deste relatório ao facilitar o entendimento da informação sócio-econômica sobre a companhia e sua relação com o ambiente onde está localizada.<br>Nowadays, the global environment is characterized by significant changes in the social, political and economic areas with direct impacts on managerial activities, through the imposition of new patterns of competitiveness and a need to change work processes and managerial practices. In this context, the traditional accounting information does not totally attend the users' new demands, whose interests are different from those contemplated in the traditional accounting reports. The Value Added Statement is part of this new group of accounting reports created to attend to those emerging needs in a better way, mainly seeking to disclose companies' social activities, clearly presenting the generated wealth so that the whole society knows about the its positive function in the creation of value for the community. This paper presents aspects related to the value added by enterprises and analyzes the importance of this report in making it easier to understand socioeconomic information about the company and its relationship with the environment in which it is located
