A Generalization of Girstmair's Irreducibility Criterion

Girstmair in [1, Theorem 1] gave a generalization of Murty's irreducibility criterion (see [2, Theorem 1]). In this article, we further generalize these criteria.Comment: There were many typographic errors in the manuscrip

    Irreducibility via location of zeros

In this paper, we obtain several new classes of irreducible polynomials having integer coefficients whose zeros lie inside an open disk around the origin or outside a closed annular region in the complex plane. Such irreducible polynomials are devised by imposing Perron--type sufficiency conditions on their coefficients.Comment: 10 pages (Some errors corrected, and equivalence of a Lemma of Singh and Kumar with that of Bonciocat et al. is proved

Social Quality and Quality of Work Life Outline the Employees’ Quality of Life in Indian Public Sector: An Investigation

Many researchers have tried to identify the factors that determine quality of life and impact on these factors on social quality. The current research outlines the existing theory and provides an argument which suggests that the trust, loyalty and challenging works also can be part of the construct of social quality. Authors propose a model, supported by data, which suggests ways in which current social theories of trust, loyalty and challenging work may be incorporated within the quality of life framework.Design/Methodology/Approach- The study has two fold objectives. Firstly, to analyze the factors influencing employees social quality and quality of work life in Indian public sector and secondly, to understand the impact of identified variables on quality of life. The study is based on the primary data, collected from the employees of public sector of India. Data analysis was done using SPSS software. The statistical analysis method employed was descriptive analysis, factor analysis and multiple regressions

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA), a systemic autoimmune condition, causes joint damage and sometimes extra-articular lesions (cutaneous vasculitis, neuropathy, Felty’s syndrome, pericarditis, intersticial lung disease) that may be life threatening. The reason why extra-articular features will develop in rare RA patients is unknown. Our study was aimed to find any disease correlation with respect to a few genetic loci implicated in rheumatoid arthritis. In our study no significant association was observed for NFkB1 and MMP-1. However HLA-DRB1 showed polymorphism in RA and controls. The study was conducted on 60 patients, where 30 were control and 30 were diseased. All the patients selected for the study were RF (rheumatoid factor) positive. Therefore the studies need to be conducted on larger group of patients, so that the association can be verified in Caucasian population (Indian scenario)

However CTLA-4 showed polymorphism in RA and controls. In our earlier article we reported polymorphism of HLA-DRB1 in Caucasian population. The study was conducted on 60 patients, where 30 were control and 30 were diseased. All the patients selected for the study were Rf (rheumatoid factor) positive. In present scenario, business organization understood the importance of sophisticated employee behavior for the development of overall job performance.  It is important for an organization to perform effectively for that it enhances their employee’s job performance. Many study supports that an empowered employee recognizes and attaches himself or herself with the wider extent of organizational objectives. An engaged employee has more ownership and able to contribute towards his/her own growth and overall productivity. Boston focuses on implementing feedback given by employees with immediate effect and has 43% employees who are highly engaged. Facebook has a culture of contribution and each employee is recognized for his contribution to the overall goal of the company “to make the world more open and connected ". This policy of contributing culture is communicated to all the candidates during recruitment process. That is why Facebook is not only known for being one of the most popular social networking platforms but for its highly engaging culture as well. Under this study, the focus is to understand the relationship between employee empowerment and job performance. The study also tries to explore empirically the mediating effect of employee engagement in this regard. It was conducted on IT sector in Delhi NCR region with a sample size of 182 employees.  The finding of the study reflects that engagement has its mediation effect on job performance with respect to employee empowerment

Abstract: The postpartum period marks a transition phase in the life of the mother as well as the whole family. Health Related Quality of Life (HRQoL) is an important aspect for not only mother’s physical and psychological health. The study was conducted in a resettlement colony, Kalyanpuri located in Delhi, India with a sample size of 330 post-partum women and the data was collected in the 6th week of post-partum period using the MOS SF-36 (Medical Outcomes Study Short Form 36 Health Survey) for health related quality of life. Among the study subjects, 34.2% had the birth order two and they showed the best mean HRQoL score. The mean score was low for the study subjects with complications in the antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum period (52.9 ± 18.4) as well as in foetal complications where the intrapartum period complications had the worst mean HRQoL score. Healthcare workers of the study area visited 91.5% of the subjects during the post-partum period and had better HRQoL mean score. Also, 22.4% subjects had history of mistreatment and abuse with decline in the mean HRQoL scores. Across the study subjects, 54.4% had financial hardships faced by their family members which had poor HRQoL mean scores. This study uncovered various horizons of health related quality of life for assessment of women in the post-partum period which emphasised the modifications and considerations to include quality as one of the determinant and indicator of health
