    The Inhibitory Factors of Using E-Learning in Urmia University of Medical Sciences from The Students\' Point of View

    Introduction: Despite the development of technology and the importance of its comprehensive development in the higher education system, research has shown that many higher education centers have not technologically developed and there are some obstacles in this path. the aim of this study was to investigate the inhibitory factors of using e-learning from the students’ point of view as the recipients of education in Urmia University of Medical Sciences. Methods: This descriptive-correlational study was performed on all the students of Urmia University of Medical Sciences in 2016-2017 academic years.  The participants (n=423) were selected through stratified random sampling method. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire that was used after confirming its reliability and validity. The descriptive statistics tests were used for explaining and describing test properties, and the collected data were analyzed using exploratory factor analysis test.   Results: In general, the 10 factors (organizational, budgetary, managerial, legal/administrative, strategic, pedagogical, technical, executive, cultural and individual) explained about 50.33 percent of the total variance. The organizational factor had the highest proportion in explaining the variance (6.234 percent) and the individual factor had the smallest proportion (2.553 percent). Conclusion: The organizational obstacle was the most important inhibitory factor of using e-learning from the viewpoint of the students in Urmia University of Medical Sciences which can be resolved by disambiguation of e-learning and the value of its degree as well as training the specialists
