    Angular distributions in J/ψppˉπ0(η)J/\psi\to p\bar{p}\pi^{0}(\eta) decays

    The differential decay rates of the processes J/ψppˉπ0J/\psi\to p\bar{p}\pi^{0} and J/ψppˉηJ/\psi\to p\bar{p}\eta close to the ppˉp\bar{p} threshold are calculated with the help of the NNˉN\bar{N} optical potential. The same calculations are made for the decays of ψ(2S)\psi(2S). We use the potential which has been suggested to fit the cross sections of NNˉN\bar{N} scattering together with NNˉN\bar{N} and six pion production in e+ee^{+}e^{-} annihilation close to the ppˉp\bar{p} threshold. The ppˉp\bar{p} invariant mass spectra is in agreement with the available experimental data. The anisotropy of the angular distributions, which appears due to the tensor forces in the NNˉN\bar{N} interaction, is predicted close to the ppˉp\bar{p} threshold. This anisotropy is large enough to be investigated experimentally. Such measurements would allow one to check the accuracy of the model of NNˉN\bar{N} interaction.Comment: 10 pages, 8 figure

    Features of Political Transit in the Post-Soviet Space (on the Example of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the Donetsk People’s Republic)

    The collapse of the USSR led not only to the formation of 15 independent states in the place of the former Soviet republics, but also to the strengthening of secessionism and the emergence of de facto states in the post-Soviet. The emergence, formation and transit of states of this type have many, both common and specific features associated with the peculiarities of their birth.Aim. A comparative analysis of the formation and transit of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR) and the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) as de facto states of the Russian world and a comparative analysis of the formation of industrial models of the economy of the unrecognized states and their management systems.Tasks. Development of models of management systems for the development of the economy of the self-proclaimed republics. Drawing up and substantiation of medium-term forecasts for the development of the PMR and the DPR: 1) integration into a new union state; 2) return to their “mother states” (Moldova and Ukraine); 3) joining Russia, 4) partial international recognition; 5) continuation of existence in the form of a “gray zone” of the economy and politics. Other options are possible, the most tragic of which is the end of support from Russia, which means the end of the existence of these de facto states.Methods. Methods of system analysis, short- and medium-term forecasting, comparative analysis were used.Conclusions. At the heart of any political system is the economy. It is the quality of the constructed economic model that determines the level and duration of the political independence of the state. This connection is especially evident in the construction of the statehood of territorial neoplasms, in which the creation of an economic system is built according to the patterns and principles of the economic system of the patron stateareas”, the shortcomings of the patron state system of the same name, from which the economic model and management mechanisms were “written off”, a comprehensive consideration of the features of secessionism in the specific historical conditions of the emergence of unrecogni zed states is necessary

    Effects of isospin violation in the e+eB()Bˉ()e^+e^- \rightarrow B^{(*)}\bar B^{(*)} cross sections

    Model estimates are obtained for the influence of Coulomb effects on the ratio of the cross sections for the production of charged and neutral BBˉB\bar B and BBˉB^*\bar B^* pairs in e+ee^+e^- annihilation. It is shown that the difference between the masses of charged and neutral mesons obtained under the assumption that this ratio is constant on a scale of the order of the beam energy spread can differ from the true one by \delta M \sim 0.03\,\mbox{MeV} at the energy of Υ(5S)\Upsilon (5S) and by \delta M \sim 0.4\,\mbox{MeV} at the energy of Υ(4S)\Upsilon (4S). Thus, the errors given in the PDG for the difference between the masses of charged and neutral BB mesons, based on the results obtained at the energy of Υ(4S)\Upsilon (4S), are strongly underestimated. Similar measurements at the energy of Υ(5S)\Upsilon (5S) will have an order of magnitude smaller systematic shift for the mass difference. This circumstance should be taken into account when planning future experiments at the BB factory in KEK.Comment: 6 pages, 2 figure

    Evidence of phi --> pi0 pi0 gamma and phi --> pi0 eta gamma decays in SND experiment at VEPP-2M

    Full text link
    Preliminary results on the study of e+e- --> phi(1020) --> pi0 pi0 gamma, eta pi0 gamma processes from SND experiment at VEPP-2M collider in Novosibirsk are presented. Branching ratios of rare radiative phi --> pi0 pi0 gamma and phi --> pi0 eta gamma decays are measured: B(phi --> pi0 pi0 gamma ) = (1.1 +- 0.2) * 10^-4 (invariant mass (pi0 pi0) < 800 MeV), B(phi --> eta pi0 gamma ) = (1.3 +- 0.5) * 10^-4.Comment: Talk at the HADRON97 conference, BNL, Aug 24-30 1997; LaTeX, 4 pages, 4 eps figure
