STUDENTS’ PERCEPTION OF COLLABORATIVE WRITING AND PEER REVIEW FEEDBACK IN EFL CLASSROOM

Pengelolaan kelas EFL di Universitas Hasyim Asy'ari Tebuireng Jombang kurang baik. Permasalahantersebut terjadi di kelas karena hanya ada satu dosen yang mengajar pada mata kuliah keahlian. Idealnya,setiap kelas tidak boleh lebih dari 20 siswa. Kelas akan menjadi efisien dan efektif jika jumlah siswa dikelas sedikit. Selain itu, dosen akan lebih mudah untuk mengontrol dan mereview tugas mahasiswa.Penelitian ini dilakukan pada mata pelajaran Intensive Course 2 untuk keterampilan Membaca danMenulis. Kelas terdiri dari 28 mahasiswa. Dosen kesulitan untuk mengelola kelas karena tidak adapendamping yang membantunya. Penerapan CW dan PRF dicoba untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut.Penelitian ini menggunakan angket untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa selama pelaksanaan CW danPRF. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memberikan persepsi positif untukmenggunakan strategi ini

Role of Textile Industry in Boosting up the Economy of Pakistan

This study is planned to investigate the textile production in the state and its looming efficiency along with many other issues that has influence on the textile industry of Pakistan. This learning enlightens the financial possessions of the textile business in the realm entirely.The purpose of this study is to realize the reason behind the declining of textile industry and we have completed this research with the help of primary data as well as secondary data. The major concern is being found that policies were not in favor to make positive changes in the industry and it directly affects our export worldwide. We also have deeply examined the impact of taxes and duties, obsolete technology, R&D, and energy crisis on the “Growth of Textile industry of Pakistan”. Further included that, if state will work to overcome all these matters then we certainly will chase our competitors and can be able to export raw material globally at cheap prices. By this research, we have acknowledged about this fact that Pakistan is the country which is blessed with resources but rules and policies are not implementing properly to deal with these hurdles. We have provided some recommendations to government and owners of textile industry of Pakistan that would be beneficial for them. Design Thinking in Middle School Classroom

Engineering design is an iterative process that supports the solution of problems by applying scientific knowledge to make informed decisions. Assessing different levels of expertise in experimentation is a difficult task since these are not usually visible as part of a student’s final design solution. The purpose of this research is to investigate and characterize students’ experimentation strategies while working on a design challenge. This research explores the various aspects of engineering design behaviors in middle school students. Questionnaires, observations, CAD software logs and focus group methodology are employed for qualitative and quantitative data collection. R scripts models are used to visualize and characterize patterns within educational data and validate them using statistical techniques. This study reveals interesting aspects of design thinking processes in students, provides recommendations and opens the discussion to engineering educators and researchers who are interested in understanding and assessing students’ experimentation strategies in engineering design

Hover Control of an Underactuated Nonlinear Quadrotor Aerial Robot

Quadrotor aerial robot is an under actuated system with nonlinearities. It has 6 DOF with only four actuators.  Actuators are the propellers with fixed pitch mounted on brushless DC motors. The actuators perform three basic operations for flight control of a quadrotor aerial robot; to generate lift force against gravity; to produce thrust force for flight in forward, backward, left and right directions against air drag; to balance weight at specific altitude during hover. Both translational and rotational motions of quadrotor aerial robot are controlled by varying relative propeller angular speed. The purpose of research work is to stabilize roll, pitch and yaw motions of a quadrotor during hover condition. To stabilize the system, an optimal model of quadrotor is presented. The model comprises of determining equations of motion of quadrotor, deriving the DC motor model and deriving the control inputs in terms of motor speeds. An optimal PD controller is designed, implemented in Simulink/Matlab and analyzed the performance of quadrotor in roll, pitch and yaw motions during hover. The Less Known Alpha Generation

The social interactions, contemporary life style, changing technolgy and their economic effects have its consequence on the way organizations develop the structure, company-wide operations, retain and motivate employees. Hence, organizations need to know about the type of people they are hiring. The \u27next generation\u27, also called the \u27alpha generation\u27 will enter workforce soon and form its major part in about a decade. However, very little is known about them yet. This paper explores the various aspects of organizational behavior that this generation might institute and tries to predict the best strategies to have them in workforce effectively. In person interviews, surveys and focus group methodology are employed for qualitative and quantitative data collection. This study reveals interesting aspects about this new generation and compares it to Generation X, Y and Z. It is recommended that organizations start developing methods for the future workforce
