Interacting scalar and spinor fields in Bianchi type I universe filled with magneto-fluid
Self-consistent system of spinor, scalar and BI gravitational fields in
presence of magneto-fluid and -term is considered. Assuming that the
expansion of the BI universe is proportional to the component of
the shear tensor, exact solutions for the metric functions, as well as for
scalar and spinor fields are obtained. For a non-positive the
initially anisotropic space-time becomes isotropic one in the process of
expansion, whereas, for an oscillatory mode of expansion of the
BI model occurs.Comment: RevTex4, 8 pages, no figure
Understanding Job Stress among Healthcare Staff
Introduction: Job life is an important part of a person’s daily life. There are many aspects of a job. A person may be satisfied with one or more aspects of his/her job but at the same time may be unhappy with other things related to the job. Objective: To evaluate the sources of job stress (stressful aspects of work) among the staff of a super specialty hospital & to suggest measures to decrease level of job stress. Methodology: Descriptive study employing 381 staff members of a super specialty hospital using a structured personal interview questionnaire consisting of 21 sources of stress. The hospital staff was asked to rate each item according to the extent to which it had contributed to their stress as experienced in their jobs in the past few months on a scale of 0 (not at all),1(a little), 2(quite a bit), 3 (a lot). A global rating of stress was also obtained. Result: The prime sources of stress were found to be underpayment (76%), excessive workload (70.3%), inadequate staff (48.6), & being involved in the emotional distress of patients (46.7%). Conclusion: The staffs of the hospital were in moderate stress due to the prime stressors so adequate measures should be taken to alleviate these stressors. This could be achieved through workload management, job redesign, & by offering occupational health education
Origin of Ferromagnetism and its pressure and doping dependence in TlMnO
Using NMTO-{\it downfolding} technique, we explore and establish the origin
of ferromagnetism in the pyrochlore system, TlMnO. It is
found to be driven by hybridization induced spin-polarization of the
delocalized charge carriers derived from Tl- and O- states. The
mean-field estimate of the ferromagnetic transition temperature, T,
estimated using computed exchange integrals are found to be in good agreement
with the measurements. We find an enhancement of T for moderate doping
with nonmagnetic Sb and a suppression of T upon application of pressure,
both in agreement with experimental findings.Comment: Accepted for publication in PR
Bounds for Rankin--Selberg integrals and quantum unique ergodicity for powerful levels
Let f be a classical holomorphic newform of level q and even weight k. We
show that the pushforward to the full level modular curve of the mass of f
equidistributes as qk -> infinity. This generalizes known results in the case
that q is squarefree. We obtain a power savings in the rate of equidistribution
as q becomes sufficiently "powerful" (far away from being squarefree), and in
particular in the "depth aspect" as q traverses the powers of a fixed prime.
We compare the difficulty of such equidistribution problems to that of
corresponding subconvexity problems by deriving explicit extensions of Watson's
formula to certain triple product integrals involving forms of non-squarefree
level. By a theorem of Ichino and a lemma of Michel--Venkatesh, this amounts to
a detailed study of Rankin--Selberg integrals int|f|^2 E attached to newforms f
of arbitrary level and Eisenstein series E of full level.
We find that the local factors of such integrals participate in many amusing
analogies with global L-functions. For instance, we observe that the mass
equidistribution conjecture with a power savings in the depth aspect is
equivalent to the union of a global subconvexity bound and what we call a
"local subconvexity bound"; a consequence of our local calculations is what we
call a "local Lindelof hypothesis".Comment: 43 pages; various minor corrections (many thanks to the referee) and

Resonance State Wave Functions of Be using Supersymmetric Quantum Mechanics
The theoretical procedure of supersymmetric quantum mechanics is adopted to
generate the resonance state wave functions of the unbound nucleus Be.
In this framework, we used a density dependent M3Y microscopic potential and
arrived at the energy and width of the 1.8 MeV (5/2) resonance state. We
did not find any other nearby resonances for Be. It becomes apparent
that the present framework is a powerful tool to theoretically complement the
increasingly important accelerator based experiments with unbound nuclei.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures, Phys. Lett. B (2017
String cosmological model in the presence of a magnetic flux
A Bianchi type I string cosmological model in the presence of a magnetic flux
is investigated. A few plausible assumptions regarding the parametrization of
the cosmic string and magneto-fluid are introduced and some exact analytical
solutions are presented.Comment: 9 pages, 4 Figure
Study of Phase Stability in NiPt Systems
We have studied the problem of phase stability in NiPt alloy system. We have
used the augmented space recursion based on the TB-LMTO as the method for
studying the electronic structure of the alloys. In particular, we have used
the relativistic generalization of our earlier technique. We note that, in
order to predict the proper ground state structures and energetics, in addition
to relativistic effects, we have to take into account charge transfer effects
with precision.Comment: 22 pages, 7 figures. Accepted for publication in JPC
New constraints on a triaxial model of the Galaxy
We determine the values of parameters of an N-body model for the Galaxy
developed by Fux via comparison with an unbiased, homogeneous sample of OH/IR
stars. Via Monte-Carlo simulation, we find the plausibilities of the
best-fitting models, as well as their errors. The parameters that are
constrained best by these projected data are the total mass of the model and
the viewing angle of the central Bar, although the distribution of the latter
has multiple maxima. The best model has a viewing angle of 44 degrees,
semi-major axis of 2.5 kpc, a bar mass of 1.7E10 solar masses and a tangential
velocity of the local standard of rest of 171 km/s . We argue that the lower
values that are commonly found from stellar data for the viewing angle (around
25 degrees) arise when too few coordinates are available, when the longitude
range is too narrow or when low latitudes are excluded from the fit. The new
constraints on the viewing angle of the galactic Bar from stellar line-of-sight
velocities decrease further the ability of the Bar's distribution to account
for the observed micro-lensing optical depth toward Baade's window : our model
reproduces only half the observed value. The signal of triaxiality diminishes
quickly with increasing latitude, fading within approximately one scaleheight.
This suggests that Baade's window is not a very appropriate region to sample
Bar properties.Comment: 10 pages, 8 figures, TeX, accepted for publication in MNRA
