    The difficulty and implementation of online assessment in higher education

    The study goal is to look into the difficulties of online assessment in higher education and how it could be implemented. In order to achieve this goal, this study must evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of e-assessment activities based on a review of university experience. Cheating, technology, integrating learning goals, and student adherence to deliver evaluations were all recognized as major concerns in online examinations. The most efficient approach for reducing cheating was shown to be developing different responses for each student. It was also discovered that regulating academic integrity violations through an online presentation was a viable option. Integrating various assessment procedures, such as report submission with an online platform, aids in the reduction of cheating by allowing the examiner to confirm that the submitted work is the student's work

    An outline of the professional quality of teachers who teach children with special needs

    The term "professional quality of life," sometimes abbreviated as "ProQOL," refers to an individual's evaluation of the positive aspects of his or her working life. This frame may be categorized in two different ways. Compassion Fatigue (CF) is undesirable, yet Compassion Satisfaction (CS) motivates people to feel good about their job and, as a consequence, assist other people. Compassionate fulfillment is one of the most admirable qualities (CS). This study's goal is to get a thorough understanding of ProQOL in the teaching profession for kids with special needs because the great majority of prior research on ProQOL was conducted on health professionals.  This quantitative study did not use any type of experimental approach, yet it included the participation of 171 students with special needs educators. The obtained data indicate that teachers of students with special needs have a generally favorable perception regarding the environment in which they work. To provide one illustration: To mention one specific example, this does not always indicate that there are low incidences of STS or burnout. The majority of students with special needs teachers (77%) were operating at a level of burnout that was classified as Medium-High, and the majority of those instructors (72%) also had an STS level that was classified as Medium-High. The study recommended using the appropriate programs that raise the teachers’ professional levels to match the requirements of teaching students with special needs

    Utilizing business intelligence and digital transformation and leadership to enhance employee job satisfaction and business added value in greater Amman municipality

    The goal of this study was to find out how business intelligence systems, AI, and digital leadership affect how satisfied employees are with their jobs and how much value they add to companies in the Greater Amman Municipality. After the study samples were taken and looked at, a total of 246 samples were approved to be used in the PLS software-based analysis. The results of this study showed that putting in place business intelligence tools, artificial intelligence, and digital leadership all made employees happier with their jobs and gave businesses more value. The research showed that there are four key parts to digital leadership: commander, communicator, collaborator, and co-creator. The main parts of business intelligence are Data Warehouse, Data Mining, Business Process Management, and Competitive Intelligence. Findings show that digital transformation is made up of three key parts: changing processes, developing business models, and changing domains. The results also show that an employee's level of job satisfaction, which includes things like business success, work commitment, and job thinking, is linked to how much value they add to the company. Intriguingly, the current results go against those of earlier studies, which said that the variables of interest have no effect on how happy employees are with their jobs or how much value companies add for their customers. When the results of this study are looked at as a whole, they say that businesses should start doing things that make employees happier at work and increase the value of the business. The current study is innovative because it focuses on the most important parts of business intelligence, artificial intelligence, and digital leadership in order to improve employee satisfaction at work and the quality of business learning with added value in Greater Amman Municipality

    The effect of groups’ reference, usefulness perception, and products quality on intention to buy and online shopping decision

    The primary purpose of this study is to investigate how group reference, perceived usefulness, and product quality influence online shoppers' desire to purchase and final purchase decisions. Multiple methods of quantitative analysis and processing of data are used to evaluate and validate the study's hypotheses. Using a Structural Equation Model, the study's theories were tested and analyzed. Customers of digital market websites in Jordan participated in this study by responding to an online poll. Data was compiled from 220 study questionnaires using a systematic sampling strategy. Data analysis with the Structural Equation Model revealed significant favorable effects of group reference, perceived usefulness, and product quality on both purchase intent and final online purchase decisions. The authors chose to center their study around the perspectives, comments, attitudes, and impressions of groups of individuals. Perceived usefulness can be gauged along the aspects of experience, enjoyment, and subjective norm. The words customer expectations, real product specifications, and the quality of the service received all shed light on the product's quality. The originality of this study rests in the model that was created to explain the relationship between group reference, perceived usefulness of products, and product quality as they relate to purchase intent and digital market website use in Jordan

    The importance of effective learning technology utilization, teacher leadership, student engagement, and curriculum in the online learning environment

    Research has shown the effect of student engagement, teacher leadership, and curriculum on the effectiveness of the use of learning technologies and the online learning environment. The study included a total of 382 samples that included both teachers and students. Survey respondents are qualified teachers with at least 10 years of teaching experience, as determined through sampling. Participants responded to a study questionnaire that was used to collect data. Data were collected using Smart PLS software, which included validity and reliability assessments and hypothesis tests. The results of the study indicated that the dissemination of learning technology is directly affected by teacher leadership and student participation, which affects its effectiveness. Instructor leadership, student engagement, and successful use of learning technologies directly impact the online learning environment. The use of learning technology is influenced by teacher leadership, curriculum, and student engagement, which ultimately impacts the online learning environment. This study suggests two main results. To enhance the efficiency of learning technology deployment, the focus of public policy should be on enhancing teacher leadership and student performance. Moreover, enhancing the efficient use of learning technology is a critical policy goal to improve the quality of the online learning environment. Students and teachers with enhanced skills should collaborate to share their technological learning materials and management practices to improve students' online learning experiences. Subsequently, modifications were made to the curriculum and there was an increase in teacher leadership

    Virtual reality socialization groups on Facebook: A new frontier for children with social anxiety disorder

    As a potential treatment intervention for youngsters with Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) in UAE, this study aims to investigate the use of virtual reality socialization groups on the widely used social media platform Facebook. The purpose of this research is to examine how social anxiety, sadness, and anxiety symptoms change after receiving treatment. The quantitative approach used in the study yields very small impact sizes. No discernible differences emerged, however, between the test and control groups at the statistical level. It investigates how cultural factors, including the unique social norms and expectations in UAE, play a crucial role in determining the success of interventions. Specifically adapted virtual reality therapies for various cultural settings are emphasized. In addition, it highlights the importance of understanding the therapeutic implications of small effect sizes. Prospective research directions are explored in this article; special attention is paid to the development of ever-better technologically-driven treatments across a variety of cultural settings

    An empirical investigation on acceptance of e-wallets in the fintech era in Jordan: Extending UTAUT2 model with perceived trust

    The increasing popularity of smartphones has led to the rise of e-wallets, which allow users to store their payment information on their devices and complete financial transactions conveniently and securely. This research extended the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT2) model to investigate the main factors influencing users’ intention to accept e-wallets in Jordan, where little research focused on such apps. Using a quantitative method, a sample of 181 users was utilized, and an instrument of 32 items was used. Findings revealed that price value, hedonic motivations, social influence, performance expectancy and perceived trust are major predictors of users' intention to use e-wallets apps. In contrast, facilitating conditions and effort expectancy are not significant toward the adoption process. Finally, conclusions and future work are presented in the last section of the study

    Game-based student e-learning experience: Empirical evidence from private universities in Jordan

    This study investigates the impact of game-based (gamification) e-Learning techniques on students' engagement, thereby, their satisfaction with e-learning in Jordanian private universities. A conceptual model was developed based on existing empirical evidence from the literature. Data was then collected through a self-administered questionnaire survey from 198 private university students, who were conveniently selected for the study. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with smart PLS 23. Data analysis revealed a positive effect of gamification on both student engagement and satisfaction, suggesting that incorporating gaming elements into the e-learning process in Jordanian private universities led to higher levels of student engagement, thereby greater student satisfaction with the e-learning experience. A mediating role was also found for student engagement on the effect of gamification on student satisfaction. The findings provide insights to practitioners on how gamification can be utilized as an effective strategy to deliver a more enjoyable and interactive e-learning experience. Research findings were discussed, and conclusions and implications were lastly provided

    Digital transformation and the challenges associated with applying digital technologies in achieving strategic flexibility in public administration: a case study in Jordan

    The study aimed to identify the impact of digital transformation and analyze the obstacles and complexities facing the integration of digital technologies into Jordanian Customs and their subsequent impact on achieving strategic flexibility. The study aims to uncover challenges, evaluate their effects, and suggest recommendations to enhance adaptive strategies within Jordanian Customs considering digital transformations. The study included employees in Jordanian General Customs, including customs officials, IT staff, and administrative staff working on digital initiatives. A population of 670 individuals was identified, from whom a purposive sample of (465) directly involved in digital transformation efforts was selected to participate in the study. The study used the descriptive analytical approach to comprehensively investigate the challenges of digital transformation within Jordanian Customs. Surveys, interviews, analysis of regulatory documents formed data collection methods. Quantitative data were subjected to descriptive analysis and regression modeling, while qualitative insights were thematically analyzed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced. The analysis revealed the results, the most important of which is that digital transformation has a positive, statistically significant impact in its four dimensions (strategy, organizational culture, transformational leadership, and human resources) in achieving strategic agility in Jordanian Customs, and reveals multi-faceted challenges prevailing within Jordanian Customs, including structural constraints. Infrastructure, resistance to change, cyber security vulnerabilities, and skills gaps among the workforces. The regression analysis highlighted the significant impact of these challenges in hindering the achievement of strategic flexibility within the Customs Department. Based on the results of the study, Jordanian Customs is recommended to take proactive measures to confront the challenges identified. This includes investing in a robust technology infrastructure, implementing targeted training programs to improve employee skills, promoting a culture of innovation, and establishing cross-departmental collaboration to enhance adaptability and strategic flexibility. The study recommended increasing attention to training workers and raising their capabilities to deal with digital transformation positively and improve services

    The contemporary management accounting practices adoption in the public industry: Evidence from Jordan

    The present study examines the effect of variables on contemporary management accounting practices' adoption in the public sector. The present research further investigates the relationship between the uptake of contemporary management accounting practices and organizational performance and change. 520 surveys were mailed to the public sector in Jordan to gather data, which was subsequently analyzed employing SEM. The findings of the research indicate that there are substantial relationships between accounting staff qualifications and management accounting practices. Results indicate that modern management accounting practices could help public sector practitioners enhance performance and promote organizational change. The investigation offers concrete insight into the public sector's uptake of management accounting practices. The research conducted offers a field study of the impact of implementing a suite of management accounting practices in the public sector
