For the purpose to reveal the mechanism of the biological indirect action of X-rays the author has conducted the analysis of the compound lipids of the organs of the rabbits irradiated with X-rays. Silicic acid column chromatography was applied for the fractionation of the compound lipids. Component of each fraction was analyzed by silicic acid-impregnated paper chromatography and infra-red spectrophotometory. The result proved that the compound lipids showed some qualitative and 10+-+ quantitative changes. The changes occurred mainly in glycerophosphatides showing the formation of high level lyso-phosphatidylcholine and lysophosphatidylethanolamine. The fatty acid compositions of the compound lipids were determined by means of gas-liquid chromatography. Further, polyunsaturated fatty acids were analyzed as fatty acid bromide. Major differences found in fatty acid patterns included: in the irradiated group the amount of C18-monoenoic, C18-dienoic, C18-trienoic, C20-tetraenoic and C22-acids were decreased and of C18- and C18-monoenoic acids were increased. It has been elucidated that lysophosphatides not only posesses a strong hemolytic power but also it has an action to induce swelling of the rat liver mitochondria. And it has been suggested that the lysophosphatides and ethanolamine will be responsible, at least partially, for the cell damage induced by X-rays.</p

The ccbar Pentaquarks by a Quark Model

Recent LHCb experiments have shown us that there are two resonances in the J/ψpJ/\psi p channel in the Λb\Lambda_b decay, whose spin and parity are most probably (3/2−^- 5/2+^+). In this work, we investigate the I(JP)=1/2(1/2−)I(J^P)=1/2(1/2^-), 1/2(3/2−)1/2(3/2^-), and 1/2(5/2−)1/2(5/2^-) uudccˉuudc{\bar c} pentaquark states by employing the quark cluster model. It is found that the color-octet isospin-1/2 spin-3/2 uuduud configuration gives an attraction to such five-quark systems. This configuration together with the color-octet ccˉc{\bar c} pair gives structures around the Σc(∗)Dˉ(∗)\Sigma_c^{(*)}{\bar D}{}^{(*)} thresholds: one bound state, two resonances, and one large cusp are found in the uudccˉuudc{\bar c} negative parity channels. We argue that these resonances and cusp may correspond to, or combine to form, the negative parity pentaquark peak observed by LHCb.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figures, Proceedings of the 14th International Conference on Meson-Nucleon Physics and the Structure of the Nucleon (MENU2016

R^4 Corrections to Eleven Dimensional Supergravity via Supersymmetry

By applying Noether method to N=1 local supersymmetry in eleven dimensions, we obtained two candidates of R^4 corrections to the supergravity. The bosonic parts of these two completely match with the results obtained by type IIA string perturbative calculations. We also obtained 13 parameters which relate only fermionic terms.Comment: 9 pages, no figure, note adde

Pentaquark with diquark correlations in a quark model

We have investigated uudd\sbar pentaquarks by employing quark models with the meson exchange and the effective gluon exchange as qq and q\qbar interactions. The system for five quarks is dynamically solved; two quarks are allowed to have a diquark-like qq correlation. It is found that the lowest mass of the pentaquark is about 1947 -- 2144 MeV. There are parameter sets where the mass of the lowest positive-parity state become lower than that of the negative-parity states. Which parity corresponds to the observed peak is still an open question. Relative distance of two quarks with the attractive interaction is found to be by about 1.2 -- 1.3 times closer than that of the repulsive one. The diquark-like quark correlation seems to play an important role in the pentaquark systems.Comment: 8 pages, 1 figure, Talk given at International Workshop PENTAQUARK04 at SPring-8, Japan, July 20-23, 200

    Holography in Einstein Gauss-Bonnet Gravity

We investigate a holographic relation between Einstein Gauss-Bonnet gravity in nn dimensions and its dual field theory in (n−1n-1) dimensions. We briefly review the AdS/CFT correspondence for the entropy in the nn-dimensional Einstein gravity and consider its extension to the case of the nn-dimensional Einstein Gauss-Bonnet gravity. We show that there is a holographic relation between entropies of an Einstein Gauss-Bonnet black hole in the bulk and the corresponding radiation on the brane in the high temperature limit. In particular, we find that the Hubble entropy evaluated when the brane crosses the horizon also coincides with the black hole entropy in the high temperature limit.Comment: 15 pages, LaTeX, references adde
