X-ray imaging of a synthetic mammography structure

    No full text
A synthetic mammography structure was used as a dummy test object in order to investigate three different diagnostic techniques for producing x- ray images: a) by traditional mammography, b) by refraction and c) by phase dispersion. Refraction and phase dispersion techniques show significant advantages in revealing features that have negligible absorption contrast. The new techniques can be successfully used for mammography examinations using powerful X-ray sources
