Noise-induced synchronization for phase turbulence
Phase turbulence is suppressed by applying common noise additively to the
Kuramoto-Sivashinsky type equation, and the noise-induced phase synchronization
is realized. The noise strength necessary for the suppression of phase
turbulence is evaluated theoretically.Comment: 7 pages, 4 figure
Self-organization of hierarchical structures in nonlocally coupled replicator models
We study a simple replicator model with non-symmetric and nonlocal
interactions. Hierarchical structures with prey-predator relations are
self-organized from a homogeneous state, induced by the dynamical instability
of nonlinear interactions.Comment: 7 pages, 2 figure
Four-Dimensional N=2(4) Superstring Backgrounds and The Real Heavens
We study N=2(4) superstring backgrounds which are four-dimensional
non-\Kahlerian with non-trivial dilaton and torsion fields. In particular we
consider the case that the backgrounds possess at least one isometry and
are characterized by the continual Toda equation and the Laplace equation. We
obtain a string background associated with a non-trivial solution of the
continual Toda equation, which is mapped, under the T-duality transformation,
to the hyper-\Kahler Taub-NUT instanton background. It is shown that the
integrable property of the non-\Kahlerian spaces have the direct origin in the
real heavens: real, self-dual, euclidean, Einstein spaces. The Laplace equation
and the continual Toda equation imposed on quasi-\Kahler geometry for
consistent string propagation are related to the self-duality conditions of the
real heavens with ``translational'' and ``rotational''Killing symmetry
respectively.Comment: 21 pages, plain te
Direct photon measurement in Au+Au collisions at =200GeV a t RHIC
Direct photon production in Au+Au collisions at =200 GeV has
been measured. The result is compared to several theoretical calculations, and
found that it is not inconsistent with ones including thermal radiation from
QGP or jet-photon conversion process on top of a NLO pQCD expectation. The
direct photon contribution in dilepton measurement is also evaluated.Comment: 3 pages, 2 figures. Contributed talk at PANIC '05 conference, Santa

System size and energy dependence of high pT hadron production measured with PHENIX experiment at RHIC
PHENIX has measured high transverse momentum (pT) identified hadrons in
different collision species and energies in the last five RHIC runs. The
systematic study of the high pT hadron production provides an idea on
interaction of hard scattered partons and the matter created in relativistic
heavy ion collision. The eta/pi0 ratio is measured in Au+Au collisions, which
gives a hint on the system thermalization and particle production. A future
measurement of hadron and photon measurement is discussed.Comment: 6 pages, 9 figures, Contributions for Quark Matter 2006 poster
