Understanding the factors that determine workplace coaching effectiveness: a systematic literature review
Meta-analytic results have established that workplace coaching is effective, however, little is known about the determinants of coaching effectiveness. This paper reports an inclusive systematic literature review, covering the quantitative and qualitative research on workplace coaching. We focus on seven promising areas in the current workplace coaching literature that emerged by the synthesis of 117 empirical studies: self-efficacy, coaching motivation, goal orientation, trust, interpersonal attraction, feedback intervention, and supervisory support. The major contribution of our paper is the systematic integration of well-established theoretical constructs in the workplace coaching context and the new insights we provide in the synthesis of these literatures. Based on our review we provide specific recommendations to be addressed in future research, including recommended research methodologies, which we propose will significantly progress the field of workplace coaching theory and practice
poca polpa: l’olivo selvatico.

Cognitive-experiential self theory and transformational leadership: information-processing, educational leadership, conflict-handling styles
This book examines the relationship between information-processing and leadership styles in school principals via an integration of two theories: Epstein s cognitive-experiential self theory (CEST) and Bass and Avolio s full-range leadership theory (FRLT). The series of five studies provide empirical support for a CEST-transformational leadership model. Implications for educational leadership at the theoretical and practical level are discussed. Establishing a positive connection between information-processing, transformational leadership, and the choice of conflict-handling styles appears to promote effective school leadership that, in turn, is thought to influence teachers job satisfaction and students learning outcomes. Being first to consider school leadership via the two perspectives of CEST and transformational leadership, this book is novel and is of direct relevance to educational leadership and all engaged in coaching for transformational leadership development
