The effect of complex pharmacotherapy regimens using a herbal remedy from <i>Hippophae rhamnoides</i> on biochemical blood parameters of rats with paracetamol hepatitis

Background. The use of complexes of synthetic and herbal remedies as hepatoprotectors in the treatment of liver pathologies of various etiologies is an urgent task of pharmacology. A promising type of medicinal plant raw material is an extract of  Hippophaes rhamnoides leaves. The  hepatoprotective effect of extract of  Hippophaes rhamnoides leaves in combination with ademethionine has not been studied to date.The aim of the research was to study changes in biochemical markers of hepatic function in the application of complex schemes of pharmacotherapy of experimental liver damage with paracetamol using Extractum foliorum Hippophaes rhamnoides.Materials and methods. The experimental study was performed on Wistar rats, the  animals were divided into six groups. Group  1 (intact) – animals without a model of liver damage and without treatment; in Group 2 (control) paracetamol was used to create experimental hepatitis without treatment (positive control group); in  Group  3 (comparison) a combination of “silibinin  +  ademethionine” was used on a model of paracetamol hepatitis; in Group 4 (experimental) extract of Hippophaes rhamnoides leaves was used on the model of paracetamol hepatitis; in  Group  5 (experimental) ademethionine was used on a model of paracetamol hepatitis; in Group 6 (experimental) a combination of extract of Hippophaes rhamnoides leaves and ademethionine was used on a model of paracetamol hepatitis. The functional state of the liver of experimental animals was determined by biochemical parameters.Results. When using a combination of extract of Hippophaes rhamnoides leaves with ademethionine, the studied biochemical parameters significantly (p  &lt;  0.05) differed from the numerical values in the negative control group and were closest to those in the intact group than in other experimental groups.Conclusions. A comparison of the effectiveness of the use of extract of Hippophaes rhamnoides leaves in combination with ademethionine by the total effect on blood biochemical parameters determines this complex as a promising drug for further research

A centuries-old experience of Buryat branch of the traditional medicine in Russia

The present work reviews the evolution of the traditional medicine in Buryatia; the contribution of Oriental medical schools and the Russian experience of herbal treatment were emphasized. This convergence process was developed in virtue of the geopolitical situation of the Republic. The evolution of the tradition and contribution of ethnic medical schools was schematically presented in the article. The aim of the work was to substantiate the originality of the Buryat traditional medicine. The data elucidating the pervasion of Eastern traditions due to the influence of Buddhism and the experience of the Russian settlers are given in the article. Peculiarity of the traditional medicine in this region involves the use of indigenous plants, original formularies and healing technologies. Approach to health and illness, principles of diagnostics and specific methods of treatment remain common to Eastern medical traditions. The article provides insight into the main findings of the study of this tradition. They include such aspects as the translation of written sources, development of new technologies and methods for the treatment and prevention of some diseases, new medicinal preparations and health-improving means recommended for practical use. Besides, there have been discussed the prospects for integration of rational methods and means from the array of the traditional medicine of Buryatia with modern medical and pharmaceutical technologies

MEDICAL SCIENCES ФАРМАКОЭКОНОМИЧЕСКИЕ АСПЕКТЫ ПРИМЕНЕНИЯ НЕСТЕРОИДНЫХ ПРОТИВОВОСПАЛИТЕЛЬНЫХ ЛЕКАРСТВЕННЫХ СРЕДСТВ В ТЕРАПИИ РЕВМАТОИДНОГО АРТРИТА PHARMACOECONOMIC ASPECTS OF THE USE OF NON-STEROIDAL ANTI-INFLAMMATORY DRUGS IN THE TREATMENT OF RHEUMATO

В данной статье был проведен анализ применения основных лекарственных средств в терапии ревма-тоидного артрита по данным кардиологического отделения РКБ им. Н.А. Семашко. Анализируя истории бо-лезни больных ревматоидным артритом, находившихся на стационарном лечении в 2014 г., авторы показали, что схемы лечения соответствуют стандартам ведения больных РА, утвержденным Минздравсоцразвития РФ (2008 г). Наиболее часто из группы нестероидных противовоспалительных средств использовались: ор-тофен, диклофенак, найз. Сравнительная оценка стоимости лечения ревматоидного артрита была проведена в отношении наиболее часто используемых схем лечения у больных с ревматоидным артритом, медленно прогрессирующего течения, II-III степени активности, при этом сравнивались трехкомпонентные схемы, отличающиеся одним препаратом. В результате проведенных исследований было показано, что для паренте-рального введения фармакоэкономически более выгодно применение ортофена в сравнении с диклофенаком.
